In-market personalization of payment devices

Described are methods and systems for remotely personalizing a payment device. In an embodiment, a trusted service provider (TSP) personalization server receives a payment device personalization request from a remote personalization device (RPD), determines that a hardware security token (HST) permits issuance of the payment device, and transmits a personalization data request to an issuer. The TSP personalization server then receives the requested personalization data from a Mobile Over-the-Air Provisioning Service (MOTAPS) server, generates session keys, converts data from the MOTAPS server into payment device application process data unit (APDU) data, and then transmits the personalization data and APDU data to the RPD to load onto a payment device.

The system for online sale of uniquely designed plastic cards comprises at least one first user terminal (10) and a card-designing module (110) for creating card designs, said module being connected to said terminal via the internet (30). The system further comprises a storage (120) having a database for storing the unique card designs created by means of the card-designing module (110), said storage (120) being electronically and/or optically connected to the card-designing module (110); a card-selling module (130) for selecting one or more card designs stored in the database and for selling the plastic cards produced using the selected card designs, said card-selling module (130) being electronically and/or optically connected to the storage (120) comprising the database; and at least one second user terminal (20) connected to the card-selling module (130) via the internet (30).

IC CARD AND IC MODULE
20170083808 · 2017-03-23 · ·

An IC card has a data storage, a table storage and a processing unit. The data storage stores data. The table storage stores a data element table including profile information including, in association with each other: a profile identifier for identifying a profile that is a group (set) of data elements to be stored in the data storage, at the time of issuance; the data elements included in the profile; and data region identifiers indicating data regions that are reserved in the data storage to store the data elements. The processing unit stores, in the data region indicated by the data region identifier corresponding to the data elements, the data elements corresponding to the profile identifier, from the data element table stored in the table storage, in response to a processing request that includes the profile identifier and requests issuance processing.

Payment application initiated generation of payment instruments

In some examples, a system and method for generating a payment instrument are described. The method includes receiving a unique signature that a recipient intends to associate with the payment instrument; verifying that the received feature meets an acceptability criterion; generating a representation of the received signature, wherein the representation is in a form capable of being physically associated with the payment instrument, and wherein association is established by embedding or exposing the representation on the payment instrument; and causing physical generation of the payment instrument having associated therewith the representation of the signature.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACTIVATING A CHIPCARD

A method for activating a chipcard includes: assigning a unique identifier to the chipcard; assigning the unique identifier to a chipcard record assigned to a designated holder of the chipcard; detecting the unique identifier by a personal device of the card holder; sending, by the personal device, an activation request of the chipcard to an activation server; sending, by the activation server, activation information and request to a chipcard issuer server; activating, by the chipcard issuer server, the chipcard; sending, by the chipcard issuer server, an activation response to the activation server; and sending, by the activation server, an activation confirmation to the personal device. A personal device is described that initiates steps for activating a chipcard.

MEDICAL TEST RESULTS AND IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20250087324 · 2025-03-13 ·

A system and method that enables users to provide authenticated medical records (e.g., vaccination records, viral anti-body test results, etc.) to a third-party (e.g., a venue) to gain access to the third-party is provided. In this way, the third party may confirm that the user is sufficiently immune to a particular disease (e.g., COVID-19) and may thereby minimize the threat of the user introducing the contagious disease to the third party. The system includes a biometric data recognition system that authenticates the identity of a user, a medical records acquisition system that acquires the medical records of the authenticated user, and a system for the displaying or otherwise providing the medical records to the third-party for review. The system also includes a system identification card that includes the user's contact information, alphanumeric characters associated with the user's driver's license number, medical records of the user, and other elements.

Unique secure serial ID
09582686 · 2017-02-28 · ·

Methods, circuits, and apparatus are provided an FPGA user, ASIC designer, or the like the ability to program a unique ID per each circuit into a memory, such as a non-volatile one-time programmable memory bank on an FPGA. This unique ID is secure such that no one else can replicate it on another part, thus keeping it unique to the user for which it was intended. An encryption engine receives plaintext and produces the unique ID that is stored in memory that is designed to only be writeable through the encryption engine. Thus, the FPGA/ASIC designer can track who is the customer they sold this part to or who the last authorized user is.
