IDENTIFICATION OF ANOMALOUS PAYMENT TERMINALS

A payment terminal evaluation device may include a network interface configured to receive data associated with each of a plurality of payment terminals. The data may include a plurality of data fields each having a respective value for a respective transaction processed by one of the plurality of payment terminals. Each payment terminal may be associated with one of a plurality of merchants. The payment terminal evaluation device may further include an electronic processor that may be configured to identify, based on the data, at least one of (i) a merchant of the plurality of merchants as an anomalous merchant and (ii) a payment terminal of the plurality of payment terminals as an anomalous payment terminal. The electronic processor may be further configured to transmit anomaly information to a communication device to cause the communication device to display the anomaly information.

Mobile device payments

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for conducting cardless payment transactions. One of the methods includes receiving from a first device of a first user a first message requesting a payment transaction with a second user. Using an identifier of the second user provided by the first device, sending a second message to a second device of the second user requesting approval of the transaction, wherein the second message includes an approval code. A third message is received from the second device. If the third message includes the provided approval code and is received within a threshold amount of time, the payment transaction is processed using account information received in the first message.

Authorization of cardless payment transactions

A method of processing a transaction between a customer and a merchant includes receiving from a mobile device of the customer or from another device of the customer an indication of consent to perform a cardless payment transaction with the merchant, receiving from the mobile device an indication that the customer is within a predetermined distance of the merchant, after receiving both the indication of consent and the indication that the customer is within the predetermined distance, sending to a computer system of the merchant an indication of the presence of the customer and personal identifying information for the customer, receiving data indicating a transaction between the customer and the merchant, and submitting the transaction to a financial service for authorization.

Method, System, and Computer Program Product for Network Bound Proxy Re-Encryption and PIN Translation

A method, system, and computer program product generate, with a payment network, a first value (a) and a second value (g.sup.a), the second value (g.sup.a) generated based on the first value (a) and a generator value (g); generate, with the payment network, a plurality of random merchant numbers (m.sub.i) for a respective plurality of merchant banks; determine, with the payment network, a merchant product (M) based on a product of the plurality of random merchant numbers (m.sub.i); generate, with the payment network, a public key (pk.sub.i) based on the second value (g.sup.a), the merchant product (M), and the random merchant number (m.sub.i) and a random key (rk.sub.i) based on the merchant product (M) and the random merchant number (m.sub.i) for each respective merchant bank; and communicate, with the payment network, the public key (pk.sub.i) and the random key (rk.sub.i) to at least one respective merchant bank.

Autonomous enrollment system and method for holder of biometric device

A method for enrolling a holder of a biometric transaction device includes the following step: storing at least one biometric pattern in the device. The method further includes the following steps: a) providing the holder with a portable, mobile power connector, configured to trigger the storing; b) and/or activating the biometric pattern, the activation being carried out in response to or in association with a successful authentication of the holder. A corresponding system is also enclosed.

Method for querying information in visual smart card and visual smart card

A method for querying information in a visual smart card, comprising: a micro control unit receiving, by means of an input device, a query request inputted by a user (S1); the micro control unit determining information queried by a user request according to a received query request (S2); if first information, the micro control unit reading a first information record which is stored thereby, and parsing the first information record to obtain the first information, the first information being displayed by means of a display device (S3); if second information, the micro control unit sending an application selection instruction to a smart card chip, receiving an application selection response returned by the smart card chip, then sending an information record reading instruction to the smart card chip, receiving a second information record returned by the smart card chip, and parsing the second information record to obtain the second information, the second information being displayed by means of the display device (S4). A visual smart card applicable to said method overcomes the shortcomings in the existing technology wherein the assistance of other devices is required, while carrying out querying by means of operating a smart card directly facilitates a holder of a smart card understanding information in the smart card, improving the ease of use of smart cards.

Point of interaction device emulation for payment transaction simulation
11238439 · 2022-02-01 · ·

Technologies for emulating payment transaction messaging for electronic payment transaction include a transaction management controller for receiving a transaction amount for a payment transaction from a business management engine and simulated payment card data for the payment transaction from a point of interaction emulator. The transaction management controller inserts the transaction amount and the payment card data into a test payment authorization request message, which is transmitted to a null host. A payment authorization response message is received from the null host and transmitted by the transaction management controller the business management engine. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Computer system and computer-implemented method for authenticating a contactless payment transaction

An application system for authenticating a contactless payment transaction is described, the application system comprising: (i) a verification module configured to receive, from an operating system, a cipher if a customer is authenticated; and (ii) an access module configured to: (a) instruct the operating system to use the cipher to decrypt a transaction personal identification number (PIN) which is stored in a local database in an encrypted form; (b) receive the transaction PIN once decrypted; and (c) use the transaction PIN to access a token, the token being associated with payment details for processing the payment transaction.

Payment transaction methods and systems enabling verification of payment amount by fingerprint of customer

Embodiments provide a method of facilitating a payment transaction with a payment card of a customer. The method includes receiving a payment transaction request initiated at a merchant terminal. The payment transaction request comprises a merchant transaction amount associated with a purchase entered at the merchant terminal and a fingerprint tap input provided by the customer on a fingerprint input module, the fingerprint tap input indicative of a customer transaction amount associated with the purchase. The method includes facilitating verification of a fingerprint obtained from the fingerprint tap input of the customer by comparing with stored fingerprint of the customer. The method further includes, upon successful verification, determining whether the merchant transaction amount conforms to the customer transaction amount obtained from the fingerprint tap input. The method further includes facilitating the payment transaction associated with the payment transaction request if the merchant transaction amount conforms to the customer transaction amount.
