Authentication Question Generation Based on Statement Availability

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes by generating authentication questions based on the availability of statements. A computing device may receive a request for access to an account. The computing device may receive transactions data that indicates a plurality of transactions. The computing device may determine that a first subset of the plurality of transactions were indicated in one or more statements sent to the user. The computing device may determine that a second subset of the plurality of transactions have not been indicated in the one or more statements sent to the user. The computing device may generate authentication questions based on the first subset and the second subset. The computing device may receive candidate responses to the authentication questions, and provide access to the account based on the candidate responses.

System and Process for Controlling and Verifying Transactions
20230125407 · 2023-04-27 ·

A system and process for controlling and verifying transactions has a central registry that includes one or more servers configured to retrieve and store registration information in a database. Registration terminals in communication with the central registry allow for registration of a participant in a program to track and limit consumption. Point-of-sale terminals communicate with the central registry to request authorization for a purchase. In an authorization request, the point-of-sale terminal communicates the identity of the prospective purchaser to the central registry, which in turn attempts to match the purchaser to a registered participant. In the case of a match, the central registry looks up the participant's purchase restrictions, and if the participant is restricted from a product or service that is being purchased, the central registry refuses authorization to complete the purchase, and the registered participant is prevented from purchasing the product or service.

System and method for conducting secure financial transactions
20230077271 · 2023-03-09 ·

A system and method to conduct secure electronic financial transactions are provided. The method includes identifying, by a computing system, a first payment source account held by an account holder; receiving, by computing system, transaction data associated with a transaction initiated by the account holder with a merchant using the first payment source account, the transaction having a transaction amount; requesting, by a computing system, via a first network a first transfer of the transaction amount from the first payment source account within a predetermined time; receiving a virtual signature from the account holder; encrypting the virtual signature; storing the encrypted virtual signature in a database; and transferring the transaction amount to pay the merchant.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DATA AGGREGATION FOR TRANSACTION SETTLEMENT
20230073140 · 2023-03-09 ·

Systems and methods are disclosed for data aggregation and efficient routing of the aggregated data for the settlement of payments. The method includes receiving, in real-time, transactions associated with an account of a registered user. The outstanding amount associated with transactions is aggregated based on a first preset time period. The payments for the aggregated outstanding amount are transmitted from a settlement account to an account of a merchant based on the first preset time period and/or a pre-determined total outstanding amount threshold. The transmitted payments are aggregated based on a second preset time period. The amount equivalent to the aggregated transmitted payments is transmitted from the account associated with the registered user to the settlement account based on the second preset time period. A user interface is then generated in devices of the registered user and merchant.

SYSTEMS FOR DYNAMIC LOCATION-BASED ACCOUNT UPDATES

Systems and methods for confirming and/or updating account information are disclosed. The systems and methods may calculate relocation scores based on transaction data and device location data. The relocation scores may be based on locations of the transactions and/or locations of a user device beyond a registered customer address. A relocation score can be calculated based on a quantity of transactions having transaction locations beyond a first predetermined distance from the customer address as determined by transaction location identifiers. A relocation score can be calculated based on an elapsed duration of time since a customer transaction was completed within the first predetermined distance from the customer address.

Systems and Methods for Implementing Offline Protocol in CBDC Networks using Collateral Chain
20230075202 · 2023-03-09 ·

The invention provides techniques for enabling offline devices that do not have an active connection to an account-based CBDC network to participate in CBDC network processes such as asset transfers. This is enabled by defining an offline protocol that governs the handling of such processes in an offline state. A collateral chain is provided by the CBDC network that links together multiple accounts so that an account lower down in the collateral chain can be used to settle a transaction in the case where an account higher up the chain does not hold sufficient CBDC to settle the transaction. On the device side, offline transaction messages are exchanged that enable either device to commit the transaction to the CBDC network once the device obtains an active connection to the CBDC network.

CARD TRANSACTION APPROVAL USING PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS MACHINE LEARNING

An approach is provided for authorizing a card transaction. Data about spending by a user is received by a computer system, which is a server computer of a trade organization established by a card provider organization to include multiple merchants. The computer system is configured to authorize or decline card transactions. A predictive pattern of spending by the user is determined. A card transaction is detected. The card transaction is initiated by the user using a card to make a purchase from a merchant included in the trade organization. Card transaction information about the card transaction is obtained via an intranet. It is determined that the card transaction information matches the predictive pattern of spending. The card transaction is authorized without sending the card transaction information via the internet, or to a server or computer network of the card provider organization.

FEDERATED IDENTIFIERS FOR CROSS-PLATFORM INTEROPERABILITY
20230074653 · 2023-03-09 ·

In one embodiment, techniques include storing indications of unique identifiers used by users of service providers that are part of a federated system. Each of the unique identifiers is associated with only one user. A computing system of a first service provider receives an intent to register a unique identifier with the first service provider. The computing system determines availability of the unique identifier based on determining whether the unique identifier is associated with another user in the data store. Based at least in part on the determination that the unique identifier is available, the computing system maps, in the data store, the unique identifier with an account of the user associated with each service provider that is part of the federated system. Subsequent to the mapping, the unique identifier is usable as a proxy in lieu of personal data associated with the user on each service provider.

MERCHANT UNIVERSAL PAYMENT IDENTIFIER SYSTEM
20230070039 · 2023-03-09 ·

Briefly, embodiments are directed to a system, method, and article for receiving an authorization request message for a remote commerce transaction with a particular merchant, where the authorization request message comprises a merchant universal payment identifier (MuPi). The MuPi may be extracted from the authorization request message. Validation information may be determined for the MuPi. A message may be transmitted to a payment network to enable authorization of the remote commerce transaction at least partially in response to the determination of the validation information.

System and Method of Monitoring Adiabatic Cooling Media

The disclosed systems and method for evaluating the integrity of media pads within an adiabatic cooling system includes at least one media compartment containing at least one media coupon that is representative of at least one of the media pads. The system is adapted to be fluidly coupled to a source of representative process water and to provide such water to the at least one media compartment. A source of airflow fluidly is also coupled to the at least one media compartment. The flow of representative process water and airflow to the media coupon within the media compartment simulates the operation of the adiabatic cooling system. The at least one media coupon may then be analyzed as representative of media pads within the adiabatic cooling system.
