SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AN OFFER BASED ON CALENDAR DATA MINING
Methods and systems are employed for searching a first user's calendar schedule for a meeting with a second user, providing an offer from a merchant based on a user's calendar schedule and automatically applying the offer from the merchant based on arrival of the first user and second user at the merchant's location. The verification of the presence of the first user and the second user may be based on identifying the location of each user, and offers from merchant locations may be provided based on the respective locations of the users.
IDENTIFICATION OF ANOMALOUS PAYMENT TERMINALS
A payment terminal evaluation device may include a network interface configured to receive data associated with each of a plurality of payment terminals. The data may include a plurality of data fields each having a respective value for a respective transaction processed by one of the plurality of payment terminals. Each payment terminal may be associated with one of a plurality of merchants. The payment terminal evaluation device may further include an electronic processor that may be configured to identify, based on the data, at least one of (i) a merchant of the plurality of merchants as an anomalous merchant and (ii) a payment terminal of the plurality of payment terminals as an anomalous payment terminal. The electronic processor may be further configured to transmit anomaly information to a communication device to cause the communication device to display the anomaly information.
Proximity detection, virtual detection, or location based triggering of the exchange of value and information
A system, methods, and apparatuses are provided for valuation and exchange of stored value assets, information of value, and the transfer of value to or among individuals. The exchanged assets may be of a similar nature, e.g., music files exchanged for other music files, and exchange or trade of information such as rewards value or a restaurant coupon. The exchanged assets may also be other dissimilar assets exchanged between individuals and/or entities. The exchange may be initiated in numerous ways such as after completing a review, exchanging or trading a gift card, a prepaid card, a reward card, a coupon, a ticket, a pass, and/or the like when in proximity to a specific location or a location of some type or category, and/or exchanging or trading of other assets between individuals based on one or more constraints such as time, location, need, desire for the assets, and/or proximity.
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for acquiring local information
The present application discloses methods, apparatuses, and systems for acquiring local information. An exemplary method may include sending a first request for information acquisition to a network apparatus through a script in a browser. The method may also include monitoring, through the local application tool, a random number, sent by the network apparatus, corresponding to the first request for information acquisition. Moreover, the method may include acquiring, through the local application tool, the first request for information acquisition corresponding to the random number stored in the network apparatus. Furthermore, the method may include acquiring, through the local application tool, local information corresponding to the first request for information acquisition, and sending, through the local application tool, the local information to the network apparatus.
COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD, SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR AUTHENTICATING A TRANSACTION
A computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product is provided for authenticating a transaction. The method includes: receiving, on a mobile device associated with a user, a request from an authentication system, the request associated with a transaction requested by the user; obtaining, with the mobile device from a portable payment device, account data via radio frequency communication; obtaining, with the mobile device, mobile device location data including at least one of the following: GPS location data, telephone carrier location data, wireless network location data, or any combination thereof; encrypting, with the mobile device, at least a portion of the account data and the mobile device location data, resulting in at least one encrypted data packet; and transmitting, with the mobile device to the authentication system, the at least one encrypted data packet.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECONDARY ACCOUNT HOLDER PAYMENT DEVICE CONTROL
A computer-implemented system and method may allow primary account holders (e.g., parents) to select merchants along specific routes where a secondary account holder (e.g., child) would be able to use a payment device. Each of these merchants may be categorized to further allow a parent to approve or reject purchases with a particular merchant. Any attempt to consummate a financial transaction with such a device at a disallowed merchant or at a merchant outside the defined geo-zone would not go through and may trigger an alert message to the parent/primary account holder (e.g., an email, SMS, phone call, etc.). Furthermore, setting a threshold may enable a trigger to ask the parent for approval in case the child makes a transaction of an amount exceeding the threshold value.
Location based authentication
A portable consumer device that is used to conduct a transaction at a merchant is authenticated. Information provided to a server computer includes locations of a merchant and a mobile communication device possessed by a consumer. If the location of the mobile communication device corresponds to the location of the merchant, the portable consumer device that is used to conduct the transaction is authenticated.
METHOD FOR CERTIFYING THE GEOLOCATION OF A RECEIVER
A method for certifying the geolocation of a receiver, including, prior to said certification, receiving, at predetermined times, in addition to the geolocation signals emitted by a plurality of emitters and used to compute said geolocation, a predetermined number of additional electromagnetic signals emitted by the same emitters and including data used to authenticate the geolocation, the method comprising determining the authenticity of the geolocation on the basis of the additional electromagnetic signals.
METHOD FOR GEOLOCATING A RECEIVER
A method for geolocating a receiver by measuring times of reception, by the receiver, of a plurality of geolocation signals originating from a plurality of emitters, the geolocation signals are emitted on multiple different wavelengths, at least one geolocation signal having a frequency less than 1 GHz.
Travel account
A user can set up a travel account with a payment provider, to inform the payment provider of expected dates and locations of travel, along with limits or restrictions at the various locations and/or dates. When the user travels and attempts to make a payment, the payment provider can determine the location and date to aid in processing the payment request, resulting in an easier process for the user, while still providing additional security with the limits and restrictions.
