Biometric device utilizing finger sequence for authentication
10037528 · 2018-07-31 · ·

A system and method for enhancing biometric security utilizing a fingerprint sequence authentication process. The method comprising, during an enrollment period for an electronic transaction system, obtaining a set of fingerprint templates associated with a registering user; storing the fingerprint templates on a memory of the electronic transaction system; determining an verification sequence unique to the registering user, wherein the verification sequence comprises a pattern of entering fingerprint images; and associating the verification sequence with the stored set of fingerprint templates to be used for a subsequent authentication of the registering user.

Background communication failover for mobile payments

A mobile point-of-sale terminal includes a payment card reader having a card interface configured to read data from a payment card and transmit the payment card data, along with other transaction information, via a non-internet communication channel to a payment processing system to process the point-of-sale transaction. The mobile point-of-sale terminal may be configured to run a register application configured to receive transaction information, including payment card information from the payment card reader, determine whether an internet connection is available, and, if an internet connection is not available, transmit the transaction information to the payment processing system using a non-internet communication channel.

Dynamic code payment card verification

Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authorizing a payment card transaction using dynamic codes. The system can receive a request for authorization of a transaction using the payment card. The request can identify a verification code associated with the payment card and an identifier of the payment card, and the payment card can have an associated dynamic code accessible to a user via a channel. The verification code can be compared with a value of the dynamic code at the time of the transaction. The system can determine whether the user of the payment card accessed the channel within a time period prior to receiving the request for authorization. In response to the verification code matching the dynamic code at the time of the transaction and determining that the user accessed the channel within the time period prior to receiving the request, the system can authorize the transaction.

Multi factor authentication rule-based intelligent bank cards

System, method, and computer program product to implement four factor authentication rule-based intelligent bank cards, by receiving valid authentication information for a card associated with an account, verifying that a captured image of a person presenting the card matches an image of an authorized user of the account, analyzing the captured image to detect an emotion of the person, and performing a predefined operation to control access to the account upon determining that the detected emotion satisfies an emotion rule associated with the account.

INTEGRATED GLOBAL TOKENIZATION SYSTEM
20240354769 · 2024-10-24 ·

An integrated selling system platform includes a point-of-sale application and middleware to perform global tokenization orchestration, that in combination, provide credit card reading device agnostic global token and provisioning operations. The middleware includes communication interfaces, each of which corresponds to a particular communication protocol. The middleware receives a token create request from the point of sale application and directly communicates, via one of the communication protocols, to a point-of-interaction payment device, to receive and securely encrypt the credit card number, then transmit that information to a hosted network token provisioning system to request a network token. Upon receiving the network token, the middleware communicates directly, via one or more protocols, to a global merchant tokenization host, to create a merchant specific token, to be returned by the middleware back to the point-of-sale client to use as a card-on-file payment method.

RETAIL FINANCIAL SYSTEM TESTING SYSTEM AND METHODS

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to testing retail financial system transactions. In some embodiments, a system comprises an automated robotic testing device configured to retrieve a selected card from a physical media library, interact, via the selected card, with a point-of-sale terminal, the point-of-sale terminal configured to receive from the selected card, information associated with the selected card, and transmit, to an external banking institution, the information, and a control circuit configured to determine the selected card, transmit, to the automated robotic testing device, the indication of the selected card, receive one of an authorization and a lack of authorization, in response to receipt of 1) authorization, cause the transaction to be completed, and 2) the lack of authorization, cause the transaction to be voided, determine whether a test associated with the transaction was successful, and log an indication of whether the test was successful.

System and method for authorizing financial transactions with online merchants
10008067 · 2018-06-26 · ·

A system for authorizing a financial transaction of a financial presentation device such as a credit or debit card being presented from a customer to an online merchant. The system includes a peripheral device having a processor configured to generate a dynamic verification value for the card which changes for each financial transaction, and to transmit the dynamic verification value to a user computer via an I/O interface during an online transaction. The system also includes an authentication computer having a memory for storing information used to generate a comparison verification value, a communication device for receiving the dynamic verification value originating from the peripheral device, a processor and an authentication module executable by the processor adapted to generate the comparison verification value using information stored in memory. The authentication computer determines whether to authorize the financial transaction based on whether the comparison verification value matches the received dynamic verification value.

Folding contactless card payment authentication

A folding mechanism is used to authenticate purchases when making transactions using a contactless smart card. By folding the contactless card in a precise manner, the electrical resistance of the antenna circuit of the contactless card is changed by bypassing the card's built-in resistors. A user may set a folding orientation as the password of the contactless card. This folding orientation determines the electrical resistance of the card necessary to authenticate a purchase.

PROCESSING ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS ON A MOBILE COMPUTER DEVICE
20180165680 · 2018-06-14 ·

A device for processing electronic payments for the purchase of goods or services is provided. The device includes one or more computer processors in communication with non-transitory computer readable data storage and a display. The data storage includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to execute a transaction process including receiving purchase data representing one or more goods or services to be purchased, receiving user input to effect a payment transaction, determining a total transaction amount from the purchase data, reading payment credentials from a purchaser's payment device, sending a payment request, receiving data representing a received one time password (OTP), sending the received OTP to the third party authorization server for authentication against a OTP sent by the third party authorization server to a mobile device, and receiving data representing successful authentication from the third party authorization server.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSACTIONAL DEBT REPAYMENT

A method for modification of loan terms based on transaction account activity includes: storing an account profile, the profile including loan terms associated with a loan, a primary account number, and transaction values related to payment transactions funded by a related transaction account; receiving a transaction message for a payment transaction including the primary account number and additional transaction data; verifying exceeding of a usage threshold based on a combination of the transaction values stored in the account profile and the additional transaction data; and modifying the loan terms based on a result of the verification.
