A method may include a first device determining a first bandwidth demand associated with a second device sending a first addressable advertisement using a data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS) bandwidth using a first advertisement spot for a first linear segment addressability (LSA) television channel, and determining a second bandwidth demand associated with the second device sending a second addressable advertisement using the DOCSIS bandwidth for presentation using a second advertisement spot. The method may include determining that the first bandwidth demand is below a threshold bandwidth, and determining that the second bandwidth demand exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The method may include sending a reference to the first addressable advertisement over the DOCSIS bandwidth for presentation using the first advertisement spot and, and determining a recommendation associated with presentation of the second addressable advertisement.

The advertisement system ranks merchant campaigns entered by the merchant users and generates a list of merchant offer advertisements that is displayed on the user device.

The present invention uses tangible tools such as fixed-line telephones, cellphones, computers, tablets and any other wearable mobile device to generate that data that will be used in media plans that are much more precise and efficient than the plans currently known. Finally, the present invention relates to said media plan obtained using one of said methods as well as the purchase of optimized media.

Techniques for a package selection feature for selecting subsets of packages and generating instructions to deliver selected packages are described herein. A model may be generated for recursively determining future forecast for potential deliveries associated with a geographic location based at least in part on capacity constraints, delivery vehicle capacity, and historical delivery data for the geographic location. Information that identifies a set of packages for delivery to the geographic location during a first duration may be received. A value for each subset of a plurality of subsets for the set of packages may be determined based on an algorithm that uses the future forecasts and the information. A particular subset may be selected for delivery to the geographic location for a given carrier during a duration based on an algorithm that uses various parametric values for the particular subset, the future forecasts, and the information.

Simulating a return network

Embodiments herein describe a return network simulation system that can simulate changes in a retailer's return network to determine the impact of those changes. Advantageously, being able to accurately simulate the retailer's return network means changes can be evaluated without first making those adjustments in the physical return network. Doing so avoids the cost of implementing the changes on the return network without first being able to predict whether the changes will have a net positive result (e.g., a positive result that offsets any negative results). A retailer can first simulate the change on the return network, review how the change affects one or more KPIs, and then decide whether to implement the change in the actual return network. As a result, the retailer has a reliable indicator whether the changes will result in a desired effect.

Methods of allocating energy generated by a community solar energy system

Implementations of the disclosed subject matter may provide a method of retrieving a data record including historic utility bill statements of a customer, determining a historic energy usage rate of the customer based on the retrieved data record, and determining whether the customer is eligible to subscribe to a community solar energy generating system based on geographic location of the community solar energy generating system, the determined historic energy usage rate of the customer, and the customer's geographic location. The method may determine an allocation of energy produced by the community solar energy generating system when the eligible customer is enrolled in a subscription to the community solar energy generating system. The method may generate a customer data record for the user based on credits for the allocation of energy of the community solar energy generating system and receiving energy from another energy generating system.

The method also includes receiving search input from the user for identifying desired content items and, in response, presenting a subset of content items to the user. The method further includes receiving content item selection actions from the user and analyzing the microgenre metadata within the selected content items to learn the preferred microgenres of the user. The method includes, in response to receiving subsequent user search input, selecting and presenting content items in an order that portrays as relatively more relevant those content items containing microgenre metadata that more closely match the learned microgenre preferences of the user.

User metrics associated with the action at each device of the first cohort is aggregated. The user metrics indicate a result of the action at each device. The aggregated user metrics are analyzed, whereby the analyzing includes determining a second cohort at the enterprise. The model is then provided to devices of at least a portion of the second cohort. No user metrics are returned to the centralized software service thus maintaining privacy compliance.
