A real-time survey system can monitor real-time event and interaction data generated as a user interacts with an application. Using the event data in combination with static user attributes, the survey system can identify a subset of microsurveys a user is eligible to receive or participate in. Identifying eligibility can include applying one or more filters based on user attributes as well as detecting a triggering event that signals real-time relevance of the survey to the user's actions. If the user is eligible for multiple surveys, the survey system can select a single survey to send to the user. Surveys can be presented to users directly using the real-time survey system instead of via an alternate delivery method, such as email. After collecting survey data, survey system can automatically analyze survey responses, including by performing machine learning based thematic analysis on freeform text responses.

A method for enhanced digital content presentation is provided that includes assigning, to each member of members of a social network of a user, a respective knowledge score, the knowledge score being representative of accuracy in the member predicting positive impressions of the user. The members of the social network are surveyed for an indication of which one or more options for digital content are expected to have a positive impression on the user. Based on the surveying, selected digital content based on the one or more options that are expected to have a positive impression on the user, as indicated by the surveying, is selected. The selected digital content is presented to the user. An indication of whether the selected digital content had a positive impression on the user is received from the user.

An example storage medium includes instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to retrieve user identifiers associated with purchase instances; determine households that correspond to the user identifiers; identify a first and a second group type, the first group type exhibiting a first threshold of purchase behaviors, and the second group type exhibiting a second threshold of purchase behaviors; identify a first holdout group and a second holdout group, reduce computational lift calculation resource consumption by constraining the first holdout group to a first percentage, constraining the second holdout group to a second percentage, the first percentage equal to the second, the first and the second holdout groups are not to be exposed to an advertisement campaign; and determine a lift calculation for the advertisement campaign based on the first and the second holdout groups.

Techniques and systems are described for analyzing components of digital content. A computing device of an analytics system receives user interaction data that describes an effect of user interaction with a plurality of items of digital content on achieving an action. The analytics system identifies which of a plurality of components are included in respective items of digital content. The analytics system then generates outcome data describing a likely effect of the plurality of components on achieving the action based on association with respective items of digital content. Additionally, the analytics system generates a recommendation to configure a subsequent item of digital content based on the outcome data. The recommendation is based on the likely effect of the different ones of the plurality of components, to generate more effective digital content.
