SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPURPOSING UNSOLD PRODUCTS IN STORES
A method, computer program product, and computer system for identifying, by a computing device, that a product of a plurality of products has a likelihood of being wasted. A recipe of a plurality of recipes that includes the product may be identified. One or more attributes of the recipe may be scored. A rating may be assigned to the recipe based upon, at least in part, the one or more attributes of the recipe. The recipe may be returned as a suggestion to use the product before the product is wasted based upon, at least in part, the rating assigned to the recipe.

Method and system for facilitating access to a promotional offer
A method of facilitating access to a promotional offer, the method comprising: receiving at a server system a page request from a client device; and sending program code executable in a browser application to the client device in response to the page request, the program code being executable to display at least one promotional offer and a promotional code, to provide a flash object at a display position of the promotional code and, in response to selection of the flash object, to cause the promotional code to be copied to a user-accessible memory of the client device and to open a new browser display of the browser application.
Attributing an Internet Browsing Session to Television On-air Time
In an embodiment, a method includes receiving data indicative of an Internet browsing session of a user. The data includes an identification of a product webpage that the user visited during the Internet browsing session and a first timestamp indicating a time associated with the user's Internet browsing session. The method further includes accessing a show database storing identities of a plurality of products shown on one or more television shows and a plurality of timestamps. The method further includes determining whether the Internet browsing session of the user is attributable to the user viewing one of the television shows by comparing the data indicative of the Internet browsing session of the user with the show database storing identities of the plurality of products shown on the television shows and the plurality of timestamps.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE EFFICIENCIES OF MEDIA DELIVERY ACROSS PLATFORMS
Methods and apparatus to determine efficiencies of media delivery across platforms are disclosed. An example method includes measuring, with a sensor, first neuro-response data from a person when exposed to media output via a first media delivery platform type. Measuring second neuro-response data from the person when exposed to media output via a second media delivery platform type, different than the first media delivery platform type. Accessing a first and second performance metric for the respective media delivery platform type, the performance metrics based on a first and second reach of the respective media delivery platform types with respect to a target group of audience members. Accessing a first and second effectiveness metric for the respective media delivery platform types, the effectiveness metric based on the respective neuro-response data. Rating at least one of the first or second media delivery platform types based on the first and the second platform metrics.
Methods and systems for displaying contextually relevant information from a plurality of users in real-time regarding a media asset
Methods and systems are described herein for quickly and easily displaying supplemental information about an event occurring in a media asset. In some embodiments, a media application may use a content-recognition module to determine the context of an event and distribute itemized tasks to multiple entities in order to generate the supplemental information about the event.
ENHANCED CONTENT QUALITY USING CONTENT FEATURES
Architecture that includes an automated content recommendation engine to enhance the quality of content being delivered, and machine learning for the content recommendation. Content recommendation is improved for users and the dissatisfaction rate of displayed content lowered, thereby improving the overall user experience. More specifically, the architecture enables and obtains direct user feedback (e.g., like/dislike) and crowdsourced user feedback of the content, merges content features with the user feedback to build the content recommendation engine, uses the content recommendation engine to detect other content that the user may like or dislike, and, thereby reduces the DSAT rate of display content using the content recommendation engine.
INTERACTIVE SPONSORED EXERCISES
System and methods for generating and presenting interactive user activities that include sponsored content in accordance with some example embodiments are disclosed. The server system receives a request for additional interactive user exercises. In response to receiving a request from a client system, the server system selects one or more sponsored content items for a user associated with the client system, wherein the sponsored content items were created by one or more sponsors of an interactive user application. The server system transmits the sponsored content to the client system for display as part of an interactive user exercise, wherein the user is prompted to provide a response to the sponsored content. The server system receives from the client system a user response to the interactive user activity. The server system evaluates user engagement with the sponsored content items based on the received user response.
Method and apparatus for personal awareness and growth
An presentation generator is disclosed for generating presentations for interacting with a user on a personal topic of, e.g., the user's selection, wherein the presentations assist the user in obtaining a greater awareness of his/her motivations and/or behaviors relating to the topic. In one embodiment, the presentation generator generates and presents to the user textual observations, questions, and/or statements for the user's consideration. Such presentations use and/or are consistent with textual descriptions obtained from: (a) the results of one or more personality/motivation test results, and (b) user inputs, e.g., regarding the selected topic together with his/her confidence in the validity of such inputs. The invention organizes the textual descriptions so that outputs to the user can be generated from various personality/motivational perspectives thereby assisting the user in viewing the topic of discussion from different perspectives and thereby becoming more aware of his/her biases, motivations, and/or concerns relating to the topic.
Systems and methods to attribute real-world visits of physical business locations by a user of a wireless device to targeted digital content or publicly displayed physical content previously viewable by the user
Methods and systems that record the location of a user and transmit targeted content to a user based upon their current and past location information. A network is configured to include a server programmed with a database of targeted content, a database of location information, a database of user information, a database searching algorithm, and a wireless communication system capable of communicating with the user's mobile device. The location of the mobile device is ascertained and recorded. The location information is analyzed to determine the routes taken by the user, businesses visited by the user, and other behaviors of the user. Targeted content is sent to the mobile device of the user or exposure to physical content is tracked. Whether the user visits the physical locations associated with the content is monitored. Detailed conversion tracking is provided to producers of targeted content and business owners.
