Advertisements in view
12039565 · 2024-07-16 · ·

A technique is provided to determine whether a region within a web page is viewable to a user through a browser window. Often, browsers will only show part of a web page at given time, creating a difficulty in establishing whether a region of the web page, which may be an advertisement for example, is in view. This is addressed by providing one or more test features within the region, rendering the web page, monitoring a behavioural characteristic of the test features and determining whether the region is in view based on the monitored behavioural characteristic, wherein the behavioural characteristic varies according to whether the test feature is currently being displayed. One example of a behavioural characteristic is a frame progression rate. Browsers will typically redraw elements of a web page at a higher rate if they are currently in view through the browser window, and this characteristic can therefore be used to determine whether the test feature, and thus the region, is in view. The present invention finds particular utility where the region contains an advertisement, as it allows an advertiser to discover whether the advertisement has been seen by users.

Methods and apparatus to monitor media presentations

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to monitor media are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory, first instructions in the apparatus, and processor circuitry to execute the first instructions. The first instructions, when executed, are to: instruct a media provider to include second instructions in an application to create an instrumented application and receive data from a media device based on the media device executing the second instructions.

Applying social interaction-based policies to digital media content
12039575 · 2024-07-16 · ·

Social interaction-based policies are provided to a digital content owner and are applied to uploaded content matching digital content owned by the digital content owner. Social interaction-based policies enable the content owner to obtain various benefits to the content owned by the content owner within a video hosting site and outside the video hosting site. The benefits include using content owner's successful digital content to drive traffic or subscriptions to content owner's social interaction platforms and increase engagement with viewers of the digital content within and outside the video hosting site. The social interaction-based policies also enable content uploaders of digital content matching content owned by others to participate in sharing revenue generated from their uploaded videos subject to social interaction-based policies applied to the uploaded videos.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO ESTIMATE DEDUPLICATED TOTAL AUDIENCES IN CROSS-PLATFORM MEDIA CAMPAIGNS

Disclosed examples determine a duplicated audience size representative of panelists exposed to television media and digital media; determine a panel duplication reach based on the duplicated audience size and a panelist population; determine a did-not-view reach based on a television audience size, a digital audience size, the duplicated audience size, and the panelist population; obtain an overlap multiplier as a ratio of (1) a product of the panel duplication reach and the did-not-view reach and (2) a product of a television panel reach and a digital panel reach; determine a duplication factor for a media item based on a television audience reach, a digital audience reach, and the overlap multiplier; and determine a total audience for the media item based on the television audience reach, the digital audience reach, and the duplication factor.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING TOTAL UNIQUE AUDIENCES

Disclosed examples determine a unique audience exposed to media while reducing memory resources of a computing device. Example instructions program programmable circuitry to log a plurality of impressions corresponding to media accessed at client devices; generate a first value based on a count of the impressions and a count of users of a database proprietor that accessed the media; generate a second value based on the first value and a count of demographic impressions logged by the database proprietor; and determine a unique audience size based on the second value.

SEGMENT MODELING FOR MACHINE LEARNING USING TENSOR TRAIN DECOMPOSITIONS

In an example embodiment, tensor train decompositions are used to create large, personalized layers that are efficient for segment modeling. More particularly, rather than performing learning on an input matrix of training data that contains all segments, and then crossing this matrix with a vector for a particular segment, the matrix is mapped to an N-dimensional tensor, where each of the dimensions corresponds to one of the properties used to compose the segment, which can then be approximated by tensor train decomposition to enable efficient training and scoring.

MODEL ORCHESTRATOR
20240232936 · 2024-07-11 ·

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining attributions for unattributed outcomes across different content channels. The method includes receiving, by a model orchestrator, outcome data representing a set of unattributed outcomes, where each unattributed outcome does not have an observed attribution to an exposure of a set of predetermined exposures. The attribution data representing a set of modeled attributions from each outcome model of a plurality of outcome models are received by the model orchestrator, where each set of modeled attribution includes a respective measure between one or more unattributed outcomes and one or more exposures. The respective measures are updated based on one or more criteria for determining one or more updated attributions, where each updated attribution indicates a new attribution of a respective outcome from the set of unattributed outcomes to a corresponding exposure of the set of predetermined exposures.

DATA MONITORING SYSTEM
20240232940 · 2024-07-11 ·

The present invention relates to a data monitoring system comprising a portable device comprising a processor, a display and an eye tracking device which provides gaze information relating to a user's gaze on the display, wherein the processor is configured to: execute data collection by monitoring information displayed on the display to determine the presence of an advertisement on the display; monitor information transmitted to or from the portable device to determine the existence of an advertisement in said information; and determine that if an advertisement has been transmitted to the portable device and displayed on the display, gather gaze information relating to the display at the time the advertisement was displayed. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for monitoring data, a portable device and a computer-readable medium.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING TIME SERIES FORECASTING WITH MISSING AND NOISY DATA

The present teaching relates to impression count determination. A forecasting time series (TS) model is established based on measured impression counts (MI-counts). Metrics are calculated from MI-counts from a sub-range of a profile. Different types of data characteristics are detected based on the metrics. Hybrid correction applied to the profile is determined based on the detected data characteristics. Corrected impression counts (I-counts) for the profile are generated via the hybrid correction operation based on the MI-counts and I-counts estimated from the forecasting TS models and provided for determining a level of viewership of the content at the site.

Methods and apparatus for user identification via community detection

Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture for user identification via community detection are disclosed. Example instructions, when executed, cause at least one processor to at least access personally identifiable information to device links, build a device graph based on the personally identifiable information to device links, split components of the device graph into person clusters using community detection, create a snapshot including a device-to-person link lookup, and prepare a person-level impression measurement report from the snapshot.
