Consumer interface device system and method for in-store navigation
09811840 · 2017-11-07 · ·

A consumer interface device (“CID”) implemented in a retail store provides an interactive in-store shopping experience. In particular, the CID may provide in-store navigation to a desired product. The CID may receive input from a user specifying the desired product, or the CID may suggest a product and provide navigation to the desired and/or suggested product. The CID may be mounted on a shelf in a retail store and may include a microprocessor, a touchscreen, a digital storage medium, and a networking device. The CID may track the success of particular in-store advertisements with regard to particular consumers or types of consumers; provide in-store navigation to products; enable purchases via a network; and target an individual consumer or group of consumers with product content specifically directed to the respective consumers or groups of consumers.

By way of example, various methods for reproducing advertisements using a plurality of advertisement vehicles as well as controlling the plurality of advertisement vehicles are provided. In one example, a method for controlling a plurality of advertisement vehicles is provided as follows. Initially, information on the plurality of advertisement vehicles that are going to carry out a specific event is verified. Information on the specific event is sent to the plurality of advertisement vehicles and real-time traffic and/or people density information in an area in which the specific event is to be carried out is collected. A starting location of the specific event may also be determined based on at least one of: the real-time traffic density information or real-time location information of the plurality of advertisement vehicles. Then, driving route guidance with an initial destination set to the starting location of the specific event is sent to the plurality of advertisement vehicles such that the plurality of advertisement vehicles convenes at the starting location of the specific event.

A correction device includes a first acquisition unit configured to acquire an arrangement position of advertisement information within a predetermined page layout when the advertisement information arranged in the predetermined page layout is displayed on a display screen of a terminal and a click rate at the arrangement position. The correction device includes a second acquisition unit configured to acquire a specific position in the predetermined page layout displayed on the display screen and an attention degree index indicating a degree of attention of the specific position as compared to another position. The correction device includes a correction unit configured to correct a click rate of the advertisement information based on the attention degree index of the specific position corresponding to the arrangement position of the advertisement information.

Document scoring based on traffic associated with a document
09767478 · 2017-09-19 · ·

A system determines an extent to which advertisements are presented or updated within a document, a quality of an advertiser associated with an advertisement provided within the document, whether an advertisement in the document relates to an advertising document that has more than a threshold amount of traffic, and/or an extent to which an advertisement provided within the document generates user traffic to an advertising document related to the advertisement. The system generates a score for the document based, at least in part, on the extent to which advertisements are presented or updated, the quality of the advertiser associated with the advertisement, whether the advertisement relates to an advertising document that has more than the threshold amount of traffic, and/or the extent to which the advertisement generates user traffic to the advertising document. The system ranks the document with regard to at least one other document based on the score.

Accidental selection of invitational content

The disclosed technology addresses the need in the art for determining whether a selection of an invitational content item was accidental or intentional based on selection signals that describe the selection. For example, a selection signal can be a selection point, response time, multiple selection count, context of the selection, user preference data, etc. A response to the selection can be based on whether the selection was determined to be accidental or intentional. If the selection was determined to be intentional, the response can be the regular response associated with selection of the invitational content item, i.e. registering the selection for billing and presenting secondary content to the user. If the selection was determined to be accidental, the selection can be ignored. Thus, the selection would not register for billing purposes and secondary content would not be presented to the user.

Systems and methods for discovery and tracking of web-based advertisements

Systems and methods are provided for discovering advertisements on publisher web pages and for identifying placement pathways by which discovered advertisements have been placed on the publisher web pages. An advertisement tracking and discovery system may use multiple web crawler applications to explore multiple publisher websites. The web crawler applications may gather advertisement data that includes times associated with each request made by the web crawler application. The system may use the gathered advertisement data and the times associated with each request to determine the placement pathways by which discovered advertisements have been placed. Each placement pathway may include one or more advertising channels or combinations of advertising channels. The system may accumulate and aggregate advertising data associated with the advertisements and the placement pathways and display the aggregated advertising data to a customer.

System and Method for Traffic Quality Based Pricing via Deep Neural Language Models

Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for determining the quality of traffic received from different web page publishers, and setting a pricing structure for the different traffic based on the determined quality of traffic. Accurately determining the quality of traffic and/or clicks from different publishers allows the network system described herein to offer a fair marketplace with just return on investments (ROI) for advertisers, and offer a robust and accurate traffic quality based pricing model for publishers. Internet based technology, and in particular deep learning techniques available through a neural network, are utilized to determine the pricing structure based on click and/or web page traffic quality measurements generated through the deep learning techniques.

PROXIMITY DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

Systems and methods for detecting a physical presence of a device previously used to view electronic records are herein disclosed as comprising, in an implementation, a detector and a computing system, the detector being configured to detect a physical presence of a first device in proximity to the sensor and to establish, without intervention, communication with the first device upon detection, and the computing system being configured to receive an identifier and browsing data communicated by the first device and identify data indicative of a prior communication of the electronic record to at least one of the first device and a second device.

Integrating offsite activities with online data records
09762529 · 2017-09-12 ·

Various systems and associated methods for tracking activities related to an event, such as audio communications, chats, text messages, completion of forms, and other user interactions. The process generates at least one identifier, distributes the identifier(s) to at least one system, and uses the identifier(s) to associate interactions with network-based content across different entities, whereby at least one interaction can be anonymous. The method involves receiving a request sent to a database stored on a computer readable medium in response to online activity and any collected or known user information, creating a record thereof in response to the request, generating an identifier associated therewith, generating a code corresponding thereto, and using the identifier to associate activities related to an event and user information. The association happens through remote communication with a system that interacts with the event.

SYSTEMS, METHODS AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA FOR DETERMINING OUTCOMES FOR PROGRAM PROMOTIONS
20210406952 · 2021-12-30 ·

Systems, methods and computer-readable storage media for determining an outcome of a content promotional message are described. For example, a media network may be configured to transmit content to a plurality of content playback devices, such as a television or a computing device. The content may include a content promotion message configured to promote content, such as a television program or a website, available through the media network. The content promotion message and the content may be associated with network identifiers generated by the media network for tracked content. When the content is played by the content playback device, a device identifier may be generated for the content. The device identifiers may be compared with the network identifiers to determine which, if any, content tracked by the media network has been played by the plurality of content playback devices.
