Conversion path performance measures and reports
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing conversion path performance measures and reports. In one aspect, user interaction data are obtained, were the user interaction data specify user interactions for a plurality of conversions. User interactions that are associated with each conversion are selected from the user interaction data, where the associated user interactions for each conversion are user interactions with a converting user during the conversion cycle for the conversion. Using the user interaction data for the selected user interactions, a quantity of user interactions that are associated with each conversion and occurred during the conversion cycle for the conversion are determined. In turn, conversion path performance measures are computed and reports specifying the conversion path performance measures are generated.
System and method for associating search queries with remote content display
An audience measurement service may monitor broadcasts in a region, ingesting closed captioning data, metadata, displayed text or logos, performing facial recognition on people, and/or generating audio/video fingerprints of broadcast content to create a database of content and associated keywords, along with times at which the content was broadcast. The audience measurement service may receive user search queries from a search provider and detect “spiking” queries. The audience measurement service may determine whether the spiking queries are related, contextually and temporally, to an item of content identified in the database, and infer that users generating the queries likely viewed the item of content. In some implementations, the audience measurement service may also infer that the users likely viewed other items of content (e.g. advertisements) displayed during the prior or subsequent few minutes on the same broadcast channel as the query-triggering item.
Pay as you go marketing campaign
A computer-implemented method for managing a campaign within a distributed computer network comprises acts of defining, in a memory of the distributed computer network, a personalized URL (pURL) associated with at least one user-specific advertisement; receiving trigger instructions that identify one or more conditions under which at least one second user-specific advertisement should be sent, wherein the second advertisement is associated with the pURL; sending the pURL associated with the at least one user-specific advertisement; tracking the pURL associated with the at least one user-specific advertisement for at least one trigger defined by the trigger instructions; receiving the trigger; and updating a campaign workflow responsive to the received trigger.
Systems and methods for detecting a peak in web traffic on an electronic network
Systems and methods are disclosed for attributing web traffic to an advertising spot. The method may include receiving traffic data for a web page from a server associated with an advertiser and receiving, from a log provider, a log of a plurality of advertising spots related to the advertiser. A duration of time as a peak may be designated to identify the amount of traffic that is attributable to the one of the plurality of advertising spots.
Linking a Transaction Between a Merchant and a Resident of the Same Vicinity To the Resident Viewing the Merchant Broadcast Advertisement
Implementations generate links between local merchants and community programs. Merchants provide incentives to customers in relation to community programs. Implementations also include online and offline customer transactions with merchants that make use of incentives. Implementation pertain to customers that view a broadcast of content that is interleaved with a merchant's advertisement and analytic reporting. Matches between transactions with a merchant and a customer that view a broadcast of content that is interleaved with the merchant's advertisement may be identified by the system, and a level of certainty that the match is accurate may be determined. These implementations can be operated by an alliance of entities that cooperate in order to facilitate, and benefit from, transactions between customers and merchants, where the customer is incented to conduct the transaction with the merchant by the merchant's agreement to make a donation to an entity of the customer's choice.
Advertisement Selection for Ad-Supported Video
A method of assigning advertisements to slots in video channels of a bundle of channels provided to an end user. The method includes managing credits, for each specific channel of the channels, indicative of a difference between a number of advertisements provided by an owner of the specific channel that were displayed on other channels and a number of advertisements provided by owners of other channels displayed on the specific channel In addition, scores indicative of a predicted success of the advertisement with the end user are calculated for a plurality of advertisements. An advertisement to be displayed to the end user is selected responsive to a function of both the calculated scores and the managed credits.
Tracking offers across multiple channels
Provided is a process, including: obtaining a coupon issued by a merchant, the coupon being redeemable both on-line, at the merchant's website, and in-store, at a physical location of the merchant; sending the coupon to publishers for presentation to consumers by the publishers on user devices of the consumers; and receiving indications from the user devices of the consumers that the consumers interacted with the coupon, the indications indicating a consumer selection of an in-store redemption option or an on-line redemption option.
Systems, Devices, and Methods for Autonomous Communication Generation, Distribution, and Management of Online Communications
This document describes the autonomous collection, generation, distribution, and management of online web content. The devices, systems, and methods described herein can be used to collect and generate online web content and communications in an automatic and autonomous manner. Specifically, the disclosed methods, devices, and systems may be employed to produce one or more communications and/or advertising campaigns, as well as for monitoring, managing, defining the efficiency, effectiveness, and workability of the campaign with respect to generating predicted user engagements, thereby accurately determining the cost benefits of the communication campaign. The system may track, evaluate, and provide analytic results that may then be used to better guide the system parameters for customizing autonomous communications directed one or more characteristics of a defined target audience.
Private Computation of Multi-Touch Attribution
A method comprises receiving an ad event data including data about a plurality of ad events, and including a user ID and an ad ID for each ad event in the ad event data set, where the ad event data set has been anonymized applying a one-way encryption key for each user ID in the ad event data set, and a two-way encryption key for the ad ID in the ad event data set. The attribution processor receives a customer data set including data about a plurality of customers, including a user ID and a customer value for each customer, where the customer data set has been anonymized using the one-way encryption key for each user ID in the data, and a private encryption key for the customer value. Without decrypting the received ad event data set and the received customer data set, the processor then matches ad events for each conversion by comparing the user IDs in the encrypted ad event data set to the user IDs in the encrypted customer data set to create a set of contributing ad events, assigns a share of the customer value to each relevant ad event, sums homomorphically the encrypted customer values for contributing events, and determines a recommendation for serving advertisements.
USING ON-LINE AND OFF-LINE PROJECTIONS TO CONTROL INFORMATION DELIVERY TO MOBILE DEVICES
A system for processing information requests associated with mobile devices comprises an evaluation module configured to determine at least one performance measure for each of a plurality of information documents using at least data in one or both of a requests database and events database. The at least one performance measure includes at least one of an impression-based performance measure, a click/call-based performance measure, and an off-line site-visit-based performance measure. The system further comprises an information server configured to select a first information document for transmitting to a first mobile device to fulfill a first request. The information server includes a volume control unit configured to derive an off-line site visit projection in response to the first document being selected based at least in part on an off-line site-visit-based performance measure and having been impressed on the first mobile device, and to adjust a budget associated with the first document using the off-line site visit projection.
