Nodes representing the devices are linked based on a relationship identified between them using the platform-wide identifier.

The method additionally can include determining a pacing-control finding that no pacing-control job is being executed. The method further can include transmitting, in real-time through the computer network, an alert to a user in response to the ad-spend anomaly and the pacing-control finding. Affinity merits corresponding to affinity levels are determined based on tracking a population of users and determining users' compliance with recommendation. A complementing source is selected according to affinity merits corresponding to specific affinity levels of a current source to a set of sources.

An information tracking agent maintains and stores information related to users identified by a unique identifier. A user is presented with an online/offline advertisement. An information tracking agent records and stores the advertisement transaction. When a user performs a transaction for purchase of goods or service that are the subject of the advertisement, the information tracking agent identifies the user with the unique identifier and the matching agent matches the user transaction with the displayed advertisement. The system automatically tracks the effectiveness of the advertisements displayed to users without requiring consumer action, beyond the purchase/transaction, in response to the displayed advertisement. In another embodiment, the system automatically tracks user location with a GPS and dynamically displays advertisements on billboards connected to the information tracking agent.
