A method and system for providing geographic location notifications for targeted offers is disclosed. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a method including monitoring for an event to trigger a targeted offer. Upon detection of the event, the offer is generated. The offer is targeted to a consumer and is generated using payment data generated in response to transactions conducted by the consumer with a plurality of different merchants. A geographic location for redeeming the offer is determined. A notification message is generated about the offer. The notification message includes the offer and the geographic location for redeeming the offer. The notification message is sent to a notification device which is operated by the consumer. A graphical depiction of the offer is displayed on a map on the notification device.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on a computer-readable storage medium, for peer-to-peer location-based messaging. In some implementations, a mobile device selectively displays displayable messages associated with beacons corresponding to specific locations that the mobile device visits. The mobile device can extract identifiers from wireless messages from beacons and determine whether to display a message corresponding to a beacon based on filter parameters of a user and data indicating characteristics of a property where a beacon is located. The displayable messages corresponding to beacons can be messages users who associated with the beacons have previously designated for presentation upon detection of the beacons. The mobile device can display the displayable message for a beacon while the mobile device is a detection range to receive the wireless message from the beacon.

Presented herein is an interactive platform for judging an activity by a participant in an event. The platform includes a client application program downloadable to a mobile device. The program may include a database storing a mobile device identifier (ID), a user ID, user information, and location data of the device. The application may further be configured to display one or more events of the activity as well as an input for receiving a score of the activity from the user. The platform may additionally include a server system connected with the client application programs via a communication network. The server system may be configured for receiving the mobile device ID, the user ID, the user information, and the location data for the client program, and may further be configured to receive the scores from the users, and to adjust the scores according to determined bias of the associated user.

In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations include methods and systems for dynamically generating and determining transaction affinity relationship information associated with a set of merchants involved in a set of transactions. In certain implementations, the transaction affinity relationship information may reflect affinity relationships between merchant chains in a merchant affinity network. The disclosed implementations may receive an adjustment to an affinity relationship associated with a merchant chain, and based on the adjustment, predicts one or more changes to affinity relationships associated with other merchant chains in the merchant affinity network.

In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations include methods and systems for dynamically generating and providing transaction affinity recommendation data. In certain implementations, the transaction affinity recommendation data may include information that identifies a target merchant and associated merchant promotion data that may be generated based on a dynamic analysis of transaction data corresponding to an account record. The disclosed implementations may determine temporal relationships between pairs of sequential transactions corresponding to the account record, and based on such relationships, may identify pairs of transactions involving separate merchants. The disclosed implementations may determine affinity relationships associated with one or more pairs of the temporally related transactions and a target merchant, and based on such relationships, generate and provide the transaction affinity recommendation data.

In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations include methods and systems for dynamically generating and providing transaction affinity recommendation data. In certain implementations, the transaction affinity recommendation data may include information that identifies a target merchant and associated merchant promotion data that may be generated based on a dynamic analysis of transaction data corresponding to an account record. In some aspects, the disclosed implementations may perform processes that determine adjustments to the merchant recommendation data based on one or more parameters associated with potential next merchants included in the merchant recommendation data. The disclosed implementations may analyze weigh values assigned to the one or more parameters, and based on the weight values and parameter information, may determine a different merchant is to be recommended. Based on the determination, the disclosed implementations may generate adjusted merchant recommendation data identifying a different recommended merchant.

In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations include methods and systems for providing transaction affinity merchant recommendation information performed by transaction affinity platform computing components that execute software stored in a memory. In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations may determine transaction affinity relationship data for transactions associated with a set of account records. Each account record in the set of account records may be associated with a set of users. The disclosed implementations may also determine transaction affinity relationship profiles based on transaction affinity profile parameters that are associated with the transaction affinity relationship data and first transaction data. Further, the disclosed implementations may determine one or more transaction affinity patterns based on the transaction affinity relationship data and the transaction affinity relationship profiles. In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations may further determine transaction affinity merchant recommendation information based on the one or more transaction affinity patterns.

Systems and methods are provided for generating and using classification models to automatically classify pages or other source content as including text about one or more real-world events. Generating the classification models may include analyzing text content of a large number of different pages from both a reference source and from more dynamic sources, such as from publisher sources via a network. Features for training classifiers may be determined based in part on the top n-grams identified among pages that have been determined to be associated with a given event.

A method and system for the ordered modification of a recurring event in a calendaring application. A method for applying ordered modifications to recurring event instances, can include identifying an event exception which corresponds to a separately defined recurring event instance. Subsequently, at least one property of the recurring event instance can be modified based upon the event exception. Additional event exceptions corresponding to the recurring event instance can be further identified in accordance with a preferred aspect of the present invention. For each further identified additional event exception, at least one property of the recurring event instance can be further modified based upon the further identified additional event exception. Notably, each of the identifying and modifying steps can be repeated for additional recurring event instances.
