SIMULATION OF MESSAGES FROM INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) DEVICES FOR DIGITAL SIGNAGE
Techniques are disclosed for the simulation of Internet of Things (IoT) device messages to control the generation and rendering of digital signage on a display module. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes intercepting messages that are transmitted from the devices to the display modules, and extracting or otherwise accessing sensor data from the intercepted messages. The sensor data can be provided to a user interface configured to allow a user to edit or manipulate the sensor data. A modified or transformed message is generated, based on the intercepted message and the edited sensor data. The modified or transformed message is transmitted to the display module, which is configured to render digital signage based on the content of the message. These techniques enable the user to visualize and evaluate alternative signage renderings in a relatively convenient manner by manipulating the sensor data reported from the IoT devices.
CURRENT EVENT TRIGGERED WEBSITE UPDATES
A website hosting system may host a plurality of websites and update and publish some of the websites that may be customized based on a current event received from news sources and/or social media platforms. The website hosting system may update different websites differently for the same event by determining industries and marketing areas for the hosted websites and the affected industries and affected areas for the detected event. The website hosting system may update and customize websites with an industry and marketing area that are within the news event's effected industries and affected areas.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DATA TRANSMISSION RATE ADJUSTMENT
Disclosed are systems and methods for adjusting the frequency of data transmissions in a voice activated data packet based environment. A pooling component can generate first and second action data structures into a pooled data structure, and can transmit the pooled data structure to a service provider computing device to cause it device to perform an operation defined by the pooled data structure. Based on characteristics of the client devices, the system can select transmission rates for the transmission of operations associated with the pooled data structure to each of the client devices.
Event wizard server and methods for use therewith
An event wizard server includes at least one processor that executes the event wizard server application that bidirectionally communicates event planning data with a user of a client device via a network interface. The event planning data includes: event type menu data, event type selection data, event size selection data, location data received from the client device, event budget menu data, event budget selection data, event budget data, event option menu data, event option selection data, event invitee menu data, and event invitee selection data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING ADVERTISEMENTS IN A FANTASY SPORTS CONTEST APPLICATION
Systems and methods are presented for presenting advertisements to users of a fantasy sports contest application. Advertisements are displayed in conjunction with fantasy sports contest information and may be interactive in nature. The advertisements may be used to inform the user of prizes being awarded for performance in the fantasy sports contest, including prizes being awarded for performing in an instant scoring opportunity based on real-time action in a related sports broadcast. The advertisements may be intelligently scheduled around certain events in a related sports broadcast to take advantage of user purchasing habits. The advertisements may foe selected according to a user profile. The user profile may include information on the user's demonstrated interests, which may be determined using the user's preferences in the fantasy contest, prior television viewing habits, and other suitable information. The advertisements may be targeted to the user's specific geographic location. The advertisements may also be used to inform a user of an awarded prize, and to enable the user to claim the awarded prize.
ELECTRONIC ROUTING AND MESSAGING IN A VENUE BASED ON WAIT TIMES
Messaging based on a wait time for an attraction is provided. Visitor attraction interest information, attraction condition information, and attraction traffic information is acquired using a processor. A first visitor route is calculated based on the visitor attraction interest information. A first attraction wait time is calculated based on the first visitor route, the attraction condition information and the attraction traffic information. A second visitor route is calculated if the first attraction wait time that is calculated exceeds a pre-determined threshold. Then, a second attraction wait time is calculated based on the acquired visitor attraction interest information and the at least one second visitor route. The processor determines an alternative attraction based on the at least one second attraction wait time and identifies an incentive corresponding to the alternative attraction. The incentive is displayed on a user interface.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TRANSMITTING TARGETED CONTENT TO AN END USER DEVICE
A system for transmitting targeted content to an end user device comprises a program stored on the end user device configured to receive the targeted content, a location sensor configured to sense a location of the end user device, and a server for storing the targeted content, wherein the server is configured to transmit the targeted content to the end user device when the end user device is at one or more specific locations. Targeted content, such as coupons, promotions and special offers are able to be transmitted to an end user device based on a location of the end user device. The content is able to be digital in nature and may be animations, video, audio, static images, and/or documents. An end user is able to opt-in and/or opt-out of receiving the targeted content at the user device.
PERSONALIZED IDENTIFICATION OF VISIT START
Pieces of location history data corresponding to an identified place of interest are obtained. Each piece of the obtained location history data references one or more signals detected at the identified place of interest and also references temporal data that corresponds to the detected signal(s). Some of the obtained pieces of location history data that represent one or more short, pass-through visits at the identified place of interest are identified. Based on the identified pieces that represent the short visit(s), conditions for determining the intent of future detected location visits at the identified place of interest are generated. The generated conditions can then be employed to determine that a detected location visit of a particular computing device determined to be at the identified place of interest is an extended visit as opposed to a short visit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TARGETING ADVERTISEMENTS FOR EVENT-BASED SOCIAL NETWORKING
A social network is associated with an event. The event is joined by individuals who have visibility of others joined to the event via a third party network or via the social network. Demographic data is collected on the individuals joined to the event based on their social behaviour. Demographic patterns are extracted from the demographic data and individuals are targeted for ads based on the demographic patterns.
Monitoring advertisement impressions
A targeted in-game advertising system is provided where advertising content may be delivered to a video game network environment. Advertisements may be delivered through the tagging of advertising assets in the video game environment according to one or more characteristics including user geographical location, personal preferences, a personal profile, video game preferences or video game genre. Methodologies for tracking advertising impressions are also provided based on monitoring the video game environment to determine the quality of impression to which the user is exposed in the video game environment.
