Selecting additional content for inclusion in video data presented to users via an online system
A user provides video data to an online system for presentation to additional users of the online system. Additionally, the user provides information to the online system identifying positions in the information capable of presenting supplemental content items, which may be sponsored, and may provide information describing a context of the video data at the various positions capable of presenting the supplemental content items. For example, the information identifies one or more times within the video data at which an advertisement is capable of being presented via the video data. Based on the information provided by the user, the online system selects supplemental content items for presentation via the video data at the identified positions and presents the selected supplemental content items to additional users viewing the video data at the identified positions.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS EMPLOYING THE SAME FOR ENHANCING AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT IN A COMPETITION OR PERFORMANCE
This document presents devices, systems, and their methods of use for content generation, engagement, and distribution by which a user can interact with collected content in a variety of different manners. Generally, a content engagement platform is provided, where the platform may be implemented on one or more computing devices, such as one or more of: a remote server, a desktop computer, a tablet computer, a handheld mobile computing device, for instance, a mobile phone or personal digital assistant, a smart accessory, such as a watch or eyeglasses, and the like. The platform allows a user to annotate and distribute video content.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PROVIDING CUSTOMIZED MEDIA CONTENT
A system for providing customized content includes a recognition device. A media transmission device is in communication with a recognition device and a media delivery device. The media transmission device is in communication with a processor and a memory storing computer instructions configured to instruct the processor to receive a primary media presentation including primary media content for a point of interest of a venue. The media transmission device generates a secondary media presentation including secondary media content for the user based on identified user preferences for the user. The media transmission device generates a custom media presentation including custom media content for the user based on the identified user preferences. The media transmission device transmits the primary media presentation, the secondary media presentation, or the custom media presentation and presents the primary media content, the secondary media content, or the custom media content to the user.
Systems and methods for providing predictive affinity relationship information
In certain aspects, the disclosed implementations include methods and systems for dynamically generating and determining transaction affinity relationship information associated with a set of merchants involved in a set of transactions. In certain implementations, the transaction affinity relationship information may reflect affinity relationships between merchant chains in a merchant affinity network. The disclosed implementations may receive an adjustment to an affinity relationship associated with a merchant chain, and based on the adjustment, predicts one or more changes to affinity relationships associated with other merchant chains in the merchant affinity network.
Predictive Placement of Mobile Platforms
A public exposure monitored media projection system is presented made up of a media projection subsystem that is configured for attachment to a mobile platform, and which may be selectively enabled. A monitoring subsystem measures public exposure to projected media and supplies exposure measurements. A communications subsystem accepts verification information including media projection subsystem enablement and the exposure measurements. A handicap subsystem offsets the media value associated with the enablement of the media projection subsystem, which is calculated in response to the exposure measurements. Typically, a rewards subsystem provides a reward to an entity (e.g., the media projection subsystem (MPS) owner) in response to the media value offset by the exposure measurement. The system may also include a publically accessible access point, a location subsystem, and a targeting subsystem for selecting a media projection subsystem target geographic location.
Event determination and invitation generation
An invitation is created on a social network. To create the invitation, a computer receives, from a social networking program operating on a first computer system by an event program operating on a second computer system, data from a social networking post. The computer identifies, by the event program, information from the data associated with a first member of a social network. The computer determines whether the information includes information about a future event that the first member intends to participate in. The computer generates an invitation to a second member of the social network for the future event based on the information about the future event. The computer transmits the invitation for the social networking post for sending by the social networking program to a user device of the second member of the social network.
Server for selecting a sequential task-oriented event and methods for use therewith
An event wizard server includes at least one processor that executes the event wizard server application that bidirectionally communicates event planning data with a user of a client device via a network interface. The event planning data includes: event type menu data, and event type selection data, wherein at least one event type includes a sequential task-oriented event.
TECHNIQUES FOR RENDERING ADVERTISEMENTS WITH RICH MEDIA
In one embodiment, an advertisement is matched to subject matter in a portion of rich media content, such as a digital video, Flash animation, etc. For example, during the playing of rich media content, it may be determined by audio recognition techniques that the content's subject matter matches or correlates with an advertisement. Rendering preferences associated with the advertisement are then determined. The rendering preferences may be used to determine how the advertisement should be rendered (i.e., displayed in association with the content). The advertisement is then served to a device. The advertisement is served such that it can be rendered relative to a time that the portion of media is being displayed on the device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVENT TRIGGERED SEARCH RESULTS
Disclosed is a system and method for displaying search results upon the occurrence or detection of an event and/or time-delay. The present provides a user with the ability to view search results upon satisfaction of an event trigger or specified time delay (e.g., a rule). The disclosed systems and methods enable features that allow a user to link a search query and/or a set or sets of results for the search query to a trigger, whereby upon detection and satisfaction of such trigger, the search (and/or related results) are displayed. Such trigger can be associated with, but not limited to, a calendar event, to-do list item, location, a product or contact person, among other types of event based information events.
Prioritization of messages within a message collection
In some embodiments, a computer implemented method of processing messages may include receiving priority information from at least one sponsor, the priority information to be used in determining a priority of one or more messages received from a plurality user devices, creating a message collection using a plurality of messages received from the plurality of user devices, applying the priority information to at least one of the messages in the message collection, prioritizing the at least one message in the message collection according to the applied priority information, and supplying the message collection with the at least one message in an order of presentation based on the applied priority information of the at least one message.
