Complementing operation of display devices in an augmented reality environment

Techniques for enabling an augmented reality system to complement operation of existing output devices in an environment are described herein. An augmented reality system may include one or more augmented reality functional nodes (ARFNs) that are configured to project content onto different non-powered and/or powered display mediums. The ARFN may identify existing output devices, as well as any content that these content output devices currently output. The ARFN may then either take over the display of the content when appropriate, or may project related content.

Embodiments of the invention provide a billboard display method and system configured for at least partial, remote control by a viewing user using a messaging application. The viewing user can be a user positioned within a viewing distance and line of sight of the billboard and actually physically observing at least a portion of the billboard display by looking at or towards the billboard display. Further, the billboard information provided by the viewing user can be based on the viewing users observation of the billboard display and anything displayed on the billboard display. Some embodiments include a camera coupled to the billboard image server and positioned in a line of sight of at least a portion of the billboard display. The billboard information can be based on the viewing user viewing at least a portion of the billboard display via the at least one camera.

EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT, ANALYSIS AND FEEDBACK SYSTEM AND METHOD

A method, apparatus and system is described that tracks and displays employee performance in real time, or near real time. Employee performance may be measured by the amount of sales associated with each employee over time. Sales reports are generated immediately after a sale is completed and sent to a server. The server records sales information in the sales reports in association with one or more employees responsible for the sale. Sales performance of each employee may be displayed to the employees in real time on a display at their workplace, in order to provide immediate feedback to the employees on their relative performance among each other. Sales goals, and awards for reaching the sales goals, may be defined by management and also displayed along with the employee sales information, to further motivate the employees.

3D glasses with RFID and methods and devices for improving management and distribution of sold commodities

RFID data is utilized for billing and management of 3D glasses in a cinema theater or group of theaters. RFID pedestals identify privately owned or rented 3D glasses brought into a theater by a customer. An invoice is automatically generated billing the theater operator for the use of the 3D glasses. Usage of the glasses along with other data collected about the customers is utilized for targeted advertising (e.g., e-mails, texts, selected advertise in pre-show, etc.). The invention reduces up front cost in installing a reusable 3D glasses system.

A geographic location for redeeming the offer is determined. A notification message is generated about the offer. The notification message includes the offer and the geographic location for redeeming the offer. The notification message is sent to a notification device which is operated by the consumer. A graphical depiction of the offer is displayed on a map on the notification device.

Method and system for pushing information to a client

An information push method, includes acquiring a photo of an environment in which a client is located; recognizing a target object from the photo and collecting statistics on a frequency value or a frequency of appearance; and pushing related information of the target object to the client according to the frequency value or the frequency. An information push system, a digital television receiving terminal, and a computer storage medium are further provided. Statistics are collected on quantized data of how often a target object appears in an environment in which a client is located by using a scientific and technical means and the statistical data is used as a reference for push.
