INTERACTIVE ADVERTISEMENT DRIVING TRANSACTIONS ON ELECTRONIC STORE
Delivering and presenting content including an interactive advertisement to a user, including: transmitting the content including the interactive advertisement to an entertainment device through an application, wherein the application is registered under a user account with an app store; playing the interactive advertisement including call-to-action icons to request the user to initiate a transaction for purchasing an item of second content; determining whether the user is requesting an immediate or later purchase; charging for the purchased item of second content to the user account and initiating a background download of the purchased item of second content, when it is determined that the user is requesting the immediate purchase; adding the item of content to the user account, when it is determined that the user is requesting the later purchase; and resuming the transmission of the content.
Localization of merchant data
Disclosed are various embodiments for localization of merchant data. A computing device obtains a localization request from a user interface on a first client device where the localization request relates to the localization of an offer listing. Based at least in part on the localization request, the content of the offer listing is translated to generate a localized offer listing. The localized offer listing is sent, via a second user interface, to a second client device.
SYSTEM FOR UPSELLING COMPRESSIBLE AND RESILIENT CONSUMABLE PRODUCTS TO FILL CONTAINER SPACE
An upselling system for utilizing compressible and resilient consumable products as substitutes for conventional fill material in shipping containers can include leveraging product dimensions and compressibility to identify and offer compressible and resilient products that will fit in the container with, and in particular embodiments provide shipping protection to, the already-selected item(s).
User interface for accessing an applet in a browser on a mobile device
Information about a product advertised on a web page is presented separately, but concurrently, with the content of the web page, to avoid having to navigate away from the web page. The information may be automatically presented in a banner that is displayed adjacent the content of the web page. Controls on the banner initiate the display of further information, and/or enable purchase of the product, while maintaining the web page content in view on the browser. Alternatively, the display of the product information may be triggered by user selection of a link associated with that product. The information about the product may appear in an overlay sheet displayed in front of the original web page. The user can interact with controls on the sheet to initiate purchase or download of the product, or can dismiss the overlay sheet to continue viewing the content of the web page.
COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMER PROFILING USING MICRO-CONVERSIONS VIA MACHINE LEARNING
Providing targeted contents to customers in an online marketing environment by performing customer profiling by identifying the interests of a plurality of customer using their past behavior. A method includes collecting a plurality of information related to a number of interactions of the customers with the contents presented through a user interface of an electronic device, receiving and processing the plurality of information using an Extract, Transform and Load module, categorizing the information using a machine learning module, storing the information using a data warehousing module, processing the information using a Data-as-a-Service module to provide to personalized recommendations to the customers in real-time. The Data-as-a-Service module profiles the customers, recommends a plurality of services to the customers through a plurality of e-commerce platforms using a content recommendation module, and recommends a plurality of products to the customers through a plurality of e-commerce platforms using a product recommendation module.
Apparatus, method and article for authentication, security and control of power storage devices, such as batteries, based on user profiles
A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). To charge, the machines employ electrical current from an external source, such as the electrical grid or an electrical service of an installation location. The charging and distribution machines may distribute portable electrical energy storage devices of particular performance characteristics and other attributes based on customer preferences and/or customer profiles. The charging and distribution machines may provide instructions to or otherwise program portable electrical energy storage devices stored within the charging and distribution machines to perform at various levels according to user preferences and user profiles.
DISCOUNT OFFER WITH TIME PERIOD DEFINED BY USER IMPRESSION
An online system receives a discount offer from a merchant and displays the offers to users. Some of the discount offers provide for a discount that becomes valid when the discount offer is displayed to the user and remains valid for an offer duration. To implement these discount offers, a timestamp representing the time at which the discount offer is displayed is recorded and encoded. The encoded timestamp is provided to the merchant system when the user makes a purchase. The merchant extracts the recorded timestamp from the encoded timestamp and compares the recorded timestamp to the time of the purchase. If the time elapsed between the timestamp and the purchase is less than the offer duration, then the merchant system applies the discount to the purchase.
MULTI-TOUCH ATTRIBUTION MODEL FOR VALUING IMPRESSIONS AND OTHER ONLINE ACTIVITIES
To implement a multi-touch attribution model, a conversion event resulting from user activity is programmatically detected. A set of events that precede the conversion event is identified. Respective events of the set occur on respective websites. The conversion event is attributed to multiple websites of the respective websites.
COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM FOR IDENTIFYING AND REDISTRIBUTING COMPLEMENTARY RESOURCES
A system may be configured for: analyzing resource transfers to identify a subset of users having complementary resource transfer patterns; monitoring resource transfers of the subset of users; determining that a user has a resource surplus; transferring resources corresponding to the resource surplus from the user to a resource pool; determining that the second user has a resource deficiency; and transferring resources corresponding to the resource deficiency from the resource pool to the second user. The system may also be configured for: monitoring actions of the user within a client application; based on monitoring the actions of the user, predicting a future user action of the user within the client application; and transmitting a command to the client application, wherein the command is configured to cause the client application to display an interface for performing the future user action.
Email-based e-commerce
An electronic commerce (e-commerce) system may send advertisement emails to customers that are registered with the e-commerce system. The advertisement emails may include mailto hyperlinks. Each mailto hyperlink may be associated with a product that is being offered for sale, and each mailto hyperlink describes an email message that may be generated when that hyperlink is selected. When a mailto hyperlink is selected, the generated email message may include one or more parameters related to the product associated with the hyperlink, such as an identifier of the product. The generated email message may then be transmitted to the e-commerce system. The e-commerce system may receive the message and, based on the parameters in the received message, execute a transaction to purchase the identified product on behalf of the customer.
