The audio input is received via a microphone associated with a computing device. A feature extractor extracts paralinguistic features from the audio input. A predictive model determines a label indicating a measure of receptiveness to product placement (e.g., a predicted marketing outcome) based on the paralinguistic features. A content-selection component selects a content message to present to the user based on the label and based on a profile of the user.

This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically determining and providing digital recommendations including sponsored items at optimized positions. In some examples, a computing device receives a recommendation request. In response, the computing device obtains a plurality of items based on the user data. The plurality of items includes a plurality of relevant items and a plurality of sponsored items. The computing device then determines a total profit for a combination of the plurality of items by injecting the plurality of promotional items at different position amongst the plurality of relevant items. The covisitation graph accounts for and also provides for estimated views of the item of directed content on other websites deemed related to the particular website. Therefore the estimated delivery rate for that website can be calculated and used to enforce frequency capping principals.

The system iterates over a number of iterations. For each transformation space, the system adjusts a state of the transformation space based on actions. The system generates a model by combining each adjusted state. The system generates an entropy for the model. The system compares the entropy to a threshold value, wherein the threshold value corresponds to one of the parameters. In response to determining that the entropy exceeds the threshold value, the system iterates. The system provides the generated model for output.

This paper presents a practical method for measuring the impact of multiple marketing events on sales, including marketing events that are not traditionally trackable. The technique infers which of several competing media events are likely to have caused a given conversion. The method is tested using hold-out sets, and also a live media experiment for determining whether the method can accurately predict television-generated web conversions.
