NOVEL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BOOKING EVENTS
The present invention includes a system and method for booking live events is disclosed herein. The scheduler initiates a first set of inquiry notification for an event and sends the inquiry notification to one or more user subscribers on a network. In addition, the scheduler receives indications of interest to attend the event in response to sending the first set of inquiry notifications. Further, the scheduler determines whether to schedule the event based upon metrics associated with the received indications of interest. The scheduler may also book the talent for the event when the metrics associated with the received indications of interest meet a pre-defined threshold. In some examples, the scheduler prompts a user subscriber that initiated the inquiry notification for a deposit payment as a condition to send the first set of inquiry notifications to the one or more user subscribers on the network.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING RECIPIENT INTERACTIONS WITH PHYSICAL, ADVERTISING MAIL
A method includes: receiving a query from a computing device accessed by a recipient; accessing an identifier, associated with an advertisement card, including a pointer to an electronic document associated with the advertisement card and a recipient code associated with the recipient; accessing a set of recipient profiles associated with target recipients of a set of advertisement cards. The method also includes responsive to the recipient code corresponding to a first recipient profile: accessing a set of recipient characteristics specified by the first recipient profile; deriving an engagement metric, for the recipient interacting with the advertisement card; predicting an intent of the recipient to engage with advertising content related to the advertisement card; assembling a customized advertising experience for presenting to the recipient within a first instance of the electronic document; and triggering the computing device to navigate to the first instance of the electronic document based on the pointer.
Condition-based method of directing electronic profile-based advertisements for display in ad space in video streams
An automatic system facilitates selection of media properties on which to display an advertisement, responsive to a profile collected on a first media property, where a behavioral-targeting company calculates expected profit for an ad correlated with the profile and arranges for the visitor to be tagged with a tag readable by the selected media property. The profit can be calculated by deducting, from the revenues that are expected to be generated from an ad delivered based on the collected profile, at least the price of ad space at a media property where the BT company might like to deliver ads to the profiled visitor. When the calculated profit is positive (i.e., not a loss), the BT company arranges for the visitor to be tagged with a tag readable by the selected media property through which the BT company expects to profit.
Systems and methods for using server side cookies by a demand side platform
The present disclosure is directed to methods for identifying a user by a demand side platform (DSP) across advertiser exchanges. The method includes establishing, by a DSP, a cookie mapping for a user. The cookie mapping includes a mapping of user identifiers for the user from advertisement exchanges to a user identifier assigned by the DSP for the user. The DSP stores to the cookie mapping a first mapping to the user identifier of the DSP, comprising a first user id received by a bidder from a first exchange and a first exchange id for the first exchange. A bidder inserts a pixel into a bid for an impression opportunity to a second exchange. The pixel includes a key to the cookie mapping and a second user id for the user and a second exchange id. The second user id is received by the bidder from a second exchange.
Voice interactive portable computing device for learning about places of interest
A system and method for assisted-learning with a portable computing device that includes converting an audio file into text, parsing the text to determine that a user is requesting information regarding a place of interest, in response to determining that the user is requesting information regarding the place of interest: obtaining a geographical location of the portable computing device, activating a camera of the portable computing device to capture one or more images of a surrounding, analyzing the one or more images using a visual recognition engine in combination with the geographical location to identify the place of interest, determining that an interactive option is available for the place of interest, and instructing the portable computing device to audibly output the interactive option to the user along with information about the place of interest.
Edge-node controlled resource distribution
This application describes apparatus and methods for using edge-computing to control resource distribution among access channels, such as a retail banking center. Edge-nodes may be configured to move a product display in response to detected or expected customer traffic flow in or near a retail location. Edge-nodes may be configured to redirect resources provided by a cloud computing environment to or away from the retail location. Based on customer traffic flow, edge-nodes may direct customers/resources to a retail location and ensure the retail location provides a predetermined quality of service.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USING LOCATION DATA TO GENERATE AND MODIFY PURCHASE INCENTIVES
A mobile device generates a purchase incentive for use at a merchant, by analyzing location data (GPS coordinate data or wi-fi location data) to determine its location, determining a merchant proximate to the location of the mobile device, generating a purchase incentive for use by the mobile device at the merchant, periodically evaluating its location as it travels along a route, and modifying the purchase incentive as a function of a change in location of the mobile device.
METHODS, MEDIA, AND SYSTEMS FOR ENHANCING A WEB BROWSING SESSION
Methods, media and systems are provided for enhancing a web browsing session. Methods and media include retrieving a user profile containing information related to a potential vehicle buyer or a vehicle profile containing information related to a vehicle of interest. Historical use data of a web browser associated with the corresponding user profile is retrieved. Enhancing the web browsing session further includes analyzing an input received from a current web browser session associated with the user profile or vehicle profile and determining a vehicle characteristic related to the analyzed input. An automated phrase corresponding to the vehicle characteristic is selected to elicit further user interaction during the current web browser session. The selected automated phrase is based on the determined vehicle characteristic. Systems include a profile database for storing user/vehicle profiles and a memory storing a set of computer-executable instructions to enhance a web browsing session.
Lead user quality score
Leads may be generated for content sponsors based on expressions of interest by users, the users being users of an online system. These leads typically require time or expense from a sponsor to follow up on the lead. The online system scores leads for sponsors to prioritize responding to the generated leads. The scores may include a purchase capacity score and a purchase intent score. The purchase capacity score estimates a user's ability to spend an amount specified by the sponsor for the product, and the purchase intent score estimates a user's likelihood to convert or be interested in the sponsor's product. The scores may be combined to provide a single lead quality score for a user that obscures the source of the online system's prediction to the sponsor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PROMOTING ITEMS RELATED TO PROGRAMMING CONTENT
A system, apparatus, and method of promoting and discovering items related to programming content are disclosed. In one aspect, the system includes a first interface to a programming content supplier system, the first interface configured to receive data relating to any items available for promotion that are displayed in the programming content. The system includes a second interface to one or more promotion systems, wherein each promotion system includes item details on the items available for promotion, the second interface configured to receive, from a promotion system, item details. The system includes a promotion generator configured to match items displayed in the programming content with the items available for promotion from the promotion system. The system includes an interface generator configured to display items that are available for promotion to a user, and provide the user with an option to accept a promotion associated with the displayed items.
