The invention is system and method for extending social networking features to a map based system Social Navigation. It is called MySocialGPS where one can use Active Maps to locate friends, locate social activities, and send Active Messages, Plan Social Activities and Socialize. In addition to regular social networking features, a Beacon ID is generated by the system to enable social mapping on the Social GPS SGPS of Friends, Businesses, Places, Events and Deals. The Beacon ID enables enhanced GPS functionality enabling a Friend location to become a destination. The proposed system will have coupons and deals from merchant partners. The system provides a portal for merchants to upload their deals and coupons. MySocialGPS has a deals-events search engine, which connects to the other websites, retrieves and consolidates Featured Places, Events and Deals then displays them on the Social GPS Map for its users. Friends, Featured Places, Deals and Events are location specific and their display depends on current or selected location or Time Period of the user.

A wearable apparatus and method are provided for processing images including product descriptors. In one implementation, a wearable apparatus for processing images including a product descriptor is provided. The wearable apparatus includes a wearable image sensor configured to capture a plurality of images from an environment of a user of the wearable apparatus. The wearable apparatus also includes at least one processing device programmed to analyze the plurality of images to identify one or more of the plurality of images that include an occurrence of the product descriptor. Based on analysis of the one or more identified images, the at least one processing device is also programmed to determine information related to the occurrence of the product descriptor. The at least one processing device is further configured to cause the information and an identifier of the product descriptor to be stored in a memory.

Systems and methods directed advertising via a tagged video stream are provided. Content and a tag associated with a product represented by at least a portion of the content may be received by a media device. The media device may be associated with at least one end user. The content may correspond to television programming. The content may be output by the media device for display. A user selection corresponding to the tag associated with the product represented by at least the portion of the content may be processed by the media device. The user selection may be received during display of at least the portion of the content. Responsive to the user selection, the media device may facilitate provision of information related to the product represented by at least the portion of the content to a second device and/or an account associated with the at least one end user.

A system and method is provided for adding an advertisement to a digital message. An advertisement generator residing on a network host accepts digital messages from contributors and allows the contributors to select an advertisement to be displayed with their contributed messages. These digital messages may be sent to specified recipients or published on a Web site. Using stored personal data associated with the contributor and with the recipient of a digital message, in addition to the content of the message itself, the advertisement generator suggests advertisements to be included with the digital messages based on their contextual relevance. If the contributor-selected advertisement is provided by a third party advertiser, the message, contributor, and advertisement data may be utilized to compensate the contributor of that message for sending it to at least one recipient or posting it on a Web site.

According to an embodiment, a method comprises receiving a request for virtual content corresponding to a product for advertisement from a first scanning terminal capturing the product, providing the virtual content to the first scanning terminal, counting a second scanning terminal as a first accrued terminal when the second scanning terminal captures the virtual content displayed on the first scanning terminal, when a third terminal capturing a screen of the second scanning terminal forms a branch to stretch to a lower node in a binary tree, counting a level corresponding to a depth of the node, and when the level reaches a preset number, providing preset reward to any one of the first scanning terminal, the second scanning terminal, and the third terminal.
