Attention spots in a map interface
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing content items based on a location of a user's attention in a map interface. In one aspect, a method includes receiving data specifying one or more map attention spots in a viewport of a map interface presented at a user device. Each map attention spot is a location on a map of the map interface corresponding to a specified amount of user activity. Content items are identified for presentation with the map. For each content item and map attention spot, a distance between a presentation location for the content item on the map and a location of the identified map attention spot on the map is determined. A rank score for the content item based at least on a respective content item score for the content item and each determined distance for the content item.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND DEVICES FOR CAUSING PROXIMITY-DEPENDENT ACTIVITY BY A MOBILE DEVICE
A method of causing proximity-dependent activity by a mobile device (MD) is presented. The mobile device (MD) receives (300) a first short-range wireless communication signal (S1) from a first transmitter function (TX1) at or near a physical location (PL) when being located within a first distance (D1) or distance range (DR1) from the physical location (PL) or first transmitter function (TX1). The mobile device (MD) reacts (310) to the received first short-range wireless communication signal (S1) by scanning for a second transmitter function (TX2) at or near the physical location (PL). The mobile device (MD) receives (320) a second short-range wireless communication signal (S2) from the second transmitter function (TX2) when being located within a second distance (D2) or distance range (DR2) from the physical location (PL) or second transmitter function (TX2), the second distance (D2) or distance range (DR2) being shorter than the first distance (D1) or distance range (DR1). The mobile device (MD) causes (330) registration of information (WCSINFO) contained in the second short-range wireless communication signal (S2). The mobile device (MD) causes (340) resolving of the registered information (WCSINFO) to determine an associated activity (ACT). The mobile device finally causes (350) performance of the determined activity (ACT).
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PERSONALIZED NAVIGATION INSIDE A BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
Systems and methods for tracking movement of individuals through a building receive, by one or more RF nodes disposed near an entrance to the building, RF signals from RF-transmitting mobile devices carried by persons near the entrance, capture an image of the persons while they are near the entrance, determine an identity and relative distance of each RF-transmitting mobile device from each RF node based on information associated with the RF signals received by that RF node, detect humans in the image, determine a relative depth of each human in the image, and assign the identity of each RF-transmitting mobile device to one of the humans detected in the image based on the relative distance of each RF-transmitting mobile device from each RF node and the relative depth of each human in the image, thereby identifying each individual who to be tracked optically as that individual moves throughout the building.
Methods and systems for harnessing location based data for making market recommendations
A computer-implemented method is disclosed. The method includes using reverse geo-coding to determine user transaction locations for a user, determining a number of user transactions for the user that correspond to each of a plurality of statistical area levels, determining a subdivision of each of the plurality of statistical area levels that has the highest number of domestic card present transactions for the user, identifying an effective area of influence (EAI) for the user, based on a determination of a statistical area level that has the highest number of domestic card present transactions for the user, and accessing geographically classified statistics from public data sources related to one or more of the plurality of the statistical area levels. A location based market recommendation is generated based on the geographically classified statistics and the effective area of influence.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for searching for promotions
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided herein for improving consumer interactions with Marketing and Promotion Service systems. In one embodiment, a method for searching for promotions is provided which includes accessing a map to be displayed to a consumer; receiving input comprising a time period; and receiving input comprising a circumscribed region on a map, wherein the circumscribed region provides an indication of an area in which the consumer is planning to travel. The method further includes searching, by a processor, for promotions within the circumscribed region that are redeemable during the time period and generating an impression comprising one or more promotions returned from the searching for promotions, wherein the impression includes at least one promotion related to travel. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.
Systems and methods for determining real time available capacity of a merchant
Systems and methods of determining real-time available capacity of a merchant are provided. A plurality of financial transactions involving the merchant can be received during a current time period. A current payment velocity of the financial transactions involving the merchant during the current time period can be determined. The current payment velocity can be compared with a baseline payment velocity associated with financial transactions involving the merchant during a corresponding historical time period. An available capacity of the merchant can be determined, based on a difference between the current payment velocity and the baseline payment velocity.
INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
A payment processing device includes a token transmission unit that stores a user ID in a storage unit in association with a payment token for generating a payment code when a request for issuing the payment code is acquired from a user terminal and transmits the payment token to the user terminal, a payment information receiving unit that receives the payment token, store information, payment information about a purchase of a product or service by a user at a store from a store terminal that has read the payment code displayed by the user terminal on the basis of the payment token, and an advertisement information transmission unit that acquires presentation information including information about a store different from the store, information about a business operator different from the business operator of the store, or information about a predetermined product on the basis of the received store information in a case where the payment token stored in the storage unit matches the received payment token and transmits the acquired presentation information to the user terminal.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION
A method of product distribution comprising using at least one hardware processor to: generating a plurality of venue offers including at least one or more brands of alcohol; obtaining a selection of a venue offer from the plurality of venue offers; and based on the selection, activating one or more customer offers corresponding to the one of the plurality of venue offers.
METHOD OF PROVIDING URBAN HIKING TRAILS
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are described herein that are configured to enable a user the ability to create, log, experience and share experiences, sites, editorial commentary, photographs, and videos along either newly created or already defines tours, routes, or hikes, which may be called “urban hiking trails” (i.e. walking tours within cities). Users can choose among different hikes with established sites to see, stops to make, and merchants to visit, along with historical or editorial content to provide information to the user along the route. Merchant partners are given the ability to provide focused targeted advertising to the users that have begun or are about to physically experience such walking tours.
Systems and methods for POP display and wireless beacon engagement with mobile devices
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. One of the wireless signals may be received by a mobile device. Upon receiving the wireless signal with the unique identifier, the mobile device may inspect its memory cache for content related to the POP displays. If needed, the mobile device may request up-to-date content from a remote server. Up-to-date content may be displayed on a display of the mobile device.
