The processing circuitry may be configured to generate an impression object based at least in part on the at least one selection of the one or more selectable merchant location indicators, determine a real-time consumer device location associated with a consumer device, and transmit the impression object to the consumer device.

The method includes receiving, from an advertiser or content provider, a request to transmit electronic content to the display, identifying a geographical zone associated with the transit-oriented vehicle; quantifying the relative position of any one of the plurality of electronic devices to the geographical zone as the transit-oriented vehicle moves along a predetermined path; identifying a displacement pattern generated by the plurality of directional vectors for the plurality of electronic devices as the geographical zone moves along the predetermined path; tailoring the electronic content based on the displacement pattern generated by the plurality of directional vectors; and transmitting the tailored electronic content to the display.

For each candidate location, the server processes the at least one metric and corresponding threshold of the candidate location to determine if each metric among the at least one metric is within the corresponding threshold. The server identifies one or more target location among the plurality of candidate locations for displaying the content. Each metric among the at least one metric of the one or more target location is within the corresponding threshold. The locations may include digital signage players, geographical areas, displays controlled by a player.

Systems and methods are provided for anticipating needs of a user through a mobile device of the user. One example method includes receiving, from the mobile device, a location identifier associated with a position within an entity location, the mobile device receiving the location identifier from a wireless transmitter upon entering a predetermined transmission range of the wireless transmitter; starting a first timer upon receiving the location identifier; and initiating a predefined action associated with the position within the entity location upon determining that a time on the first timer exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Provided is a computer-implemented method for providing real-time offers based on geolocation and merchant category. Transaction data for transaction from a plurality of merchants is received. A subset of merchants is determined based on the physical location of the merchants and the merchant category of the merchants. Real-time market activity data is determined for each of the merchants in the subset of merchants. A real-time offer is initiated based on comparing the market activity data of at least one merchant compared to the market activity data of a first merchant.

The method includes using reverse geo-coding to determine user transaction locations for a user, determining a number of user transactions for the user that correspond to each of a plurality of statistical area levels, determining a subdivision of each of the plurality of statistical area levels that has the highest number of domestic card present transactions for the user, identifying an effective area of influence (EAI) for the user, based on a determination of a statistical area level that has the highest number of domestic card present transactions for the user, and accessing geographically classified statistics from public data sources related to one or more of the plurality of the statistical area levels. A location based market recommendation is generated based on the geographically classified statistics and the effective area of influence.

A method and system for generating electronic advertisements, such as banner ads, based on user profile information, location information and proximity preferences are disclosed. An online promotion service may receive profile information, location information and other information from a user. The user may also define a proximity preference which may include a range of distance the user is willing to travel to redeem one or more promotions. A service or product provider or other authorized entity may define a proximity preference which may include a target range of advertisement exposure. The online promotion service may present advertisements for incentives and other promotions based on user profile information as well as proximity preference information where the proximity preference is defined by the user, the provider, or both.
