The invention provides an improved algorithm for selecting paid advertisements for inclusion with search engine results or with any resource retrieved from the Internet. The algorithm collects personalized data of each user and feeds the collected personalized data into search queries of search engines, to retrieve paid advertisements. The advertisements are retrieved based not only on search keywords input by the user, but also based on personal preferences, interests and demographics of the user, as well as the location of the user and the time when the search is performed. In other words, the inventive technology enables each user to receive very targeted, localized and personalized advertising materials.

Some embodiments may include an apparatus including circuitry configured to receive promotion purchase data from a consumer device indicating purchase of a promotion. The circuitry may be further configured to determine a location of the consumer device and a merchant location of a merchant capable of fulfilling redemption of the promotion. The circuitry may then facilitate the redemption of the promotion with the merchant at the merchant location. For example, the circuitry may communicate with a suitable merchant device of the merchant to facilitate redemption fulfillment options such as in-store pickup and/or shipping.

Some embodiments may include an apparatus, such as a server or distributed servers, including processing circuitry configured to provide an electronic newsfeed to consumer devices based on tracking consumer device location. For example, the processing circuitry may be connected with merchant devices and consumer devices via a network. The processing circuitry may transmit an electronic newsfeed user interface to a consumer device, determine a real-time consumer device location, determine whether the real-time consumer device location is within a predetermined distance of a merchant location associated with a merchant account, and in response to determining that the real-time consumer device location is within a predetermined distance of the merchant location, update the electronic newsfeed user interface.
Dynamically providing context-based notification and fulfillment
In some examples, a location of a merchant is updated as the merchant moves. A server receives the location of the merchant, and compares that location to the location of a user, so as to determine whether the merchant is located within a first threshold distance or a second, smaller threshold distance from the location of the user. If the user is within the first threshold distance, the server presents a first point of sale (POS) interface to initiate an order from the merchant and present the user with an option to fulfill that order through delivery. If the merchant is located within the second, smaller threshold distance from the user, the server presents the user with a second POS interface that gives the user an option to fulfill the order through pickup instead of delivery.
