Systems, apparatus, methods, and articles of manufacture provide for modular vending systems utilizing reloadable product dispensing modules, including, but not limited to, vertical product dispensing modules comprising a vertical conveyor and a mounting structure for releasably engaging with module holder structures of modular vending machines, and a central controller device for communicating with a plurality of modular vending machines.

Embodiments are disclosed for a method that may include accessing, from a first data source, events including interactions between a mobile device and one or more network devices on a network at a locale, and receiving external data from a second data source that excludes the network devices. The method may further include determining, based on the interactions, one or more geographic positions and one or more corresponding time intervals of the mobile device at the geographic positions, and correlating the geographic positions and the time intervals with the external data to obtain a metric.

Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for generating an augmented reality interface, for example for provision of promotions. Some example embodiments receive camera data and location data associated with a consumer device; receive map data based on the location data; identify at least a provider location in a field of view based on the map data; determine a number of consumer devices within a proximity radius of the provider location; determine the number of consumer devices satisfies a predetermined number of consumer devices; determine, based on the determining that the number of consumer devices within the proximity radius satisfies the predetermined number of consumer devices, a promotion for the provider location; and cause display of an impression of the promotion in an augmented reality displayed via an interface of the consumer device.

A plurality of charging stations and a plurality of commercial facilities where a user of a vehicle can stay during charging in one of the plurality of charging stations are provided. An information providing method for the vehicle includes: causing a charging server to select a plurality of candidates from among the plurality of charging stations in accordance with location information about each of the vehicle and the plurality of commercial facilities; causing the charging server to provide a car navigation device with information showing the plurality of candidates selected; causing the server to deliver an advertisement for a commercial facility associated with each of the plurality of candidates selected; and causing the charging server to receive information about a candidate selected with the car navigation device from among the plurality of candidates by the user referring to the advertisement.

Technology is disclosed for facilitating generation and processing of a customized promotion based on a set of factors. In some embodiments, the disclosed technology enables a particular merchant to incentivize customer business (e.g., increase customer traffic to a physical merchant location) by offering a customized promotion for placement in a receipt of a transaction with another merchant. The customized promotion, which decreases incrementally in value over time, is generated specifically for a product and/or service offered by the particular merchant. The product and/or service associated with the promotion correlates to a set of factors, including, among others, the customer's spending trend, thereby increasing the likelihood that the customer would redeem the promotion with the particular merchant in a second transaction. In some embodiments, a portion of the payment in the second transaction is distributed to the other merchant, thereby enabling both merchants to benefit from the placement of the promotion.

Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing local promotions are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include an apparatus, such as a server or distributed servers, including processing circuitry configured to provide an electronic newsfeed to consumer devices based on tracking consumer device location. For example, the processing circuitry may be connected with merchant devices and consumer devices via a network. The processing circuitry may receive promotion data defining a promotion from the merchant device and may generate an impression of the promotion based on the promotion data. Consumer devices and merchants may be associated for receiving the impression as a feed item to the electronic newsfeed based on various criteria, such as the real-time location of a consumer device relative to merchant locations capable of providing promotion redemption.

Systems and methods for tracking the sales of products and presence of advertising materials within a physical store are provided. According to certain aspects, a sensor component disposed within the physical store may detect light emitted by a unique product identifier (UPI) affixed to a product. A processor of the sensor component may analyze the detected light to determine the UPIs, generate a digital representation of the UPIs within a field of view, and transmit at least a portion of the digital representation to a server computer. A plurality of sensor components may track the movement and sales of various products and presence of advertising materials in the physical store, and the server computer may analyze the resulting data to improve merchandising and the sales experience for customers, among other benefits.

Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing local promotions are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include an apparatus including circuitry configured to receive promotion purchase data from a consumer device indicating purchase of a promotion. The circuitry may be further configured to determine a location of the consumer device and a merchant location of a merchant capable of fulfilling redemption of the promotion. The circuitry may then facilitate the redemption of the promotion with the merchant at the merchant location. For example, the circuitry may communicate with a suitable merchant device of the merchant to facilitate redemption fulfillment options such as in-store pickup and/or shipping.

Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. A wireless network gateway may receive a wireless signal with a unique identifier. The location of the wireless network gateway may be known to a remote server. The remote server may determine that the location of the POP display and wireless beacon is the same as the wireless network gateway

Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. One or more sensors may be coupled to the POP display to assess external activity around the POP display. The external activity may be recorded, stored in a memory associated with the POP display, and transmitted to a remote server at a selected time.
