System and method for providing notifications to a user based upon the location of the user
This application provides a computer-implemented method for providing notifications. The method includes a) creating a geofenced area associated with a mobile device and a healthcare facility, wherein the patient is associated with the mobile device, b) storing the geofenced area in a data store, c) determining when the mobile device has crossed or entered the geofenced area during an unscheduled visit to the healthcare facility by the patient, d) sending a notification to or retrieving the notification from the mobile device, wherein the notification includes the medical history of the patient, the type of healthcare facility associated with the geofenced area, the insurance network of the patient, the medical providers practicing at the healthcare facility, wait times at the healthcare facility, and the proximity to other healthcare facilities, and e) outputting the notification to the mobile device when mobile device is within the geofenced area.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPLOYING DYNAMIC GEO-FENCES BASED ON CONTENT CONSUMPTION LEVELS IN A GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Systems and methods are provided for determining in real-time geographic areas having a threshold level of content consumption and deploying dynamic geo-fences to contain these geographic areas. These dynamic geo-fences provide a means for timing message notifications in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a dynamic geo-fence created based on real-time content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.
System for Providing Personalized Marketing at a Mobile Device When in Proximity to a Retail Location
A method, system and computer-usable medium are disclosed for providing personalized marketing at a mobile device when in proximity to a retail location. One general aspect includes a computer-implemented method for personalized proximity marketing including: detecting whether a mobile device is proximate a retail location of a product retailer; if the mobile device is proximate a retail location of the product retailer, querying a user profile associated with a user of the mobile device to determine whether the retail location has one or more items of interest available to the user of the mobile device, where the one or more items of interest are identified based on product preferences associated with the user profile; and in response to the query, alerting a user at the mobile device one or more of the items of interest are available at the retail location.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, TRANSPORTATION APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A configuration enables control of an image displayed on the display unit provided on the outer side of the transportation apparatus, such as a bus, resulting in increasing the degree of user attention and obtaining higher advertising effects. A display unit provided on an outer side of a transportation apparatus such as a bus; and an image control unit configured to execute control of a display image on the display unit, are included, and the image control unit executes control to change the display image on the display unit depending on a traveling state of the transportation apparatus. For example, the display image is varied depending on the states of whether the transportation apparatus is accelerating, decelerating, or constant speed traveling. Alternatively, an AR image using a real object near the transportation apparatus is generated for display.
Providing content to store visitors without requiring proactive information sharing
A method includes receiving, at a user device including one or more processors, a signal pushed to the user device from an in-store device physically located in a store. The signal includes a first store identifier. The method further includes storing the first store identifier in memory. The method further includes receiving a content item from a third-party content provider device, the content item including a second store identifier. The third-party content provider device transmits the content item to a plurality of user devices within a geographic area around a location associated with the second store identifier. The method further includes providing the content item for display in response to determining the first store identifier matches the second store identifier. The content item is displayed without providing an indication of the presence of the user device at the store to the in-store device or to the third-party content provider device.
Method of providing urban hiking trails
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are described herein that are configured to enable a user the ability to create, log, experience and share experiences, sites, editorial commentary, photographs, and videos along either newly created or already defines tours, routes, or hikes, which may be called urban hiking trails (i.e. walking tours within cities). Users can choose among different hikes with established sites to see, stops to make, and merchants to visit, along with historical or editorial content to provide information to the user along the route. Merchant partners are given the ability to provide focused targeted advertising to the users that have begun or are about to physically experience such walking tours.
Location-based personal audio
Various implementations include wearable audio devices and related methods for controlling such devices. In some particular implementations, a computer-implemented method of controlling a wearable audio device configured to provide an audio output includes: receiving data indicating the wearable audio device is proximate a geographic location associated with a localized audio message; providing a prompt to initiate playback of the localized audio message to a user of the wearable audio device; and initiating playback of the localized audio message at the wearable audio device in response to actuation of the prompt by the user.
System and method for beacon based navigation to offer based transactions and beacon based digital transactions with multiple layer authentication
A system and method of interaction with beacons to execute a multiple layer authenticated transaction process including receiving a signal from the beacon, analyzing a relative signal strength of the beacon, enabling a portable computer device to complete the digital transaction based on the proximity of the portable computer device to an item for purchase. A first user verification input is additionally received via the portable computer system. In response to the first user verification, receiving a verification signal.
Dynamic reconfiguring of geo-fences
Geo-fences may be dynamically reconfigured to identify merchants that may be of particular interest to users. In some instances, a geo-fence may be defined for a particular user based on a variety of information, in order to identify merchants that may be of interest to the user and that are located within proximity to the user. The geo-fence may be defined based on purchase history, places that are frequented by the user, a mode of transportation, a navigation or transportation route, user preferences, and/or a variety of other information. Information regarding the identified merchants may be displayed or otherwise output to notify the user of nearby merchants that may be of interest.
Adaptive video advertising using EAS pedestals or similar structure
Adaptive system for communicating with a customer in a retail store environment includes a sensor disposed at a sensor location in a retail environment. The sensor location is selected so that the sensor captures information that facilitates identification of at least one trait associated with a customer located proximate to the sensor location. A processing system is configured to use the information to determine the at least one trait. Thereafter, in response to such determination, the processing system selectively determines a message or content selection to be displayed to the customer based at least in part on the at least one trait that has been identified.
