The techniques, methods, systems, and other mechanisms described herein include processes for determining if customized content should be generated, what information to include in the customized content, and when to provide the customized content. In general, a computing system determines that a user intends to travel to a physical venue. The computing system can determine if an entity associated with the physical venue has a web page. The computing system can determine various aspects of a predicted route of travel from the user's present location to the physical venue. The computing system can use location information indicating the user's current location and determine one or more routes of travel to the physical venue. The computing system can compare one or more determined aspects of the predicted route to threshold values to determine if customized content should be generated and presented to the user.

A computer implemented system including a primary user device operable to access and execute computer instruction code that, when executed, causes generation and sending of notifications to one or more secondary user devices, a database of previously collected data in respect of users of the secondary user devices where the one or more secondary user devices operated by users other than users of primary user devices, and a matching engine, wherein generated notifications are matched, by the matching engine, to the user of a secondary user device according to analysis of the previously collected data regarding the user of the secondary user device such that notifications sent to the secondary user device are relevant to the user of the secondary user device.

A dynamic digital advertising content system having a front end system and a back end system, and used to present product content to a user's computing device in the form of a digital circular. The back end system provides retailers and third party access to upload, and update, product content information for the digital circular, including videos and animations. The dynamic digital advertising content system can include integrations for third-parties such as digital coupon providers and loyalty program providers. The system permits users the ability to share with other users merchandise displayed in the digital circular and/or selected for a shopping list. Such shared content can be dynamically arranged for subsequent presentation on a computing device of the recipient. The digital circular is further customizable for individual retailers or retailer locations, as well as customizable based on detected histories and/or characteristics of the user receiving the digital circular.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium recording an information output program for causing a computer to execute a process, the process includes: detecting that a user performs first buying in a first shop; referring to memory in which shop information and location information are stored in association with each other; specifying one or more second shops that is in a predetermined positional relationship with route information which is a result of a search to a destination received from a user terminal used by the user and that is located closer to the destination than the first shop; generating a first message that includes information indicative of a payment detail as a result of the first buying and information introducing the one or more second shops; and outputting the first message as a receipt to a terminal provided in the first shop or transmitting the first message to the user terminal.

Certain implementations relate to updating the spot, target digital signage location, and target playback time based on input received from a user. The updates to the spot may be verified by comparing a permissions level of the user to rules regarding the modification of the spot.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, for detour based content selection. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, at a data processing apparatus, location data for a plurality of users, the location data describing, for each user, locations of a user device of the user; determining, from the location data, route data for the plurality of users, the route data describing, for each user, a route traveled by the user; determining, by the data processing apparatus, for at least one or more of the users, a detour from the route traveled by the user to a retail location of the offeror; determining, by the data processing apparatus, for each of the at least one or more of the users, whether the user is eligible for an offer of the offeror based on the detour; and for each user eligible for an offer, enabling the offeror to provide an offer to the user.

Systems and methods are provided for determining the presence of a location-based event by receiving information from one or more sellers. The information may include seller location and/or types of items sold. The type of event may be determined. Optionally, a guide for the event can be generated based on the information received from the sellers. Information about the event and/or the guide may be accessed by a mobile device of a potential buyer or via a web directory.

Systems, device and techniques are disclosed for dynamically retrieving and monitoring geo-fence activity. A meta geo-fence may be identified based on a user device geolocation. The meta geo-fence having a radius that is dynamically generated to include previously defined geo-fences within or touching the meta geo-fence. User device geolocation may be monitored in relation to the defined geo-fences included in the radius of the meta geo-fence. A communication may be sent to the user device when the user device reports that the user device has entered or exited one of the previously defined geo-fences within or touching the radius of the meta geo-fence.

A network of collection, charging and distribution machines collect, charge and distribute portable electrical energy storage devices (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors or ultracapacitors). To charge, the machines employ electrical current from an external source, such as the electrical grid or an electrical service of an installation location. By default, each portable electrical energy storage device is disabled from accepting a charge unless it receives authentication information from an authorized collection, charging and distribution machine, other authorized charging device, or other authorized device that transmits the authentication credentials. Also, by default, each portable electrical energy storage device is disabled from releasing energy unless it receives authentication information from an external device to which it will provide power, such as a vehicle or other authorization device.
