System for targeting location-based communications
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing targeted location-based communications. An exemplary apparatus is configured to receive an encoded signal, decode the encoded signal such that embedded data is retrieved, send the embedded data a remote server; and receive a message based at least partially on sending the embedded data. Another exemplary apparatus is configured to provide the encoded signal by receiving data input, receiving a host signal, embedding the data input within the host signal such that an encoded signal is generated, and transmitting the encoded signal. A third exemplary apparatus is configured to provide the targeted communications by storing one or more messages associated with an entity, receiving data, selecting at least one of the one or more messages based at least partially on the data received, and sending the at least one of the one or more messages selected.
Live branded dynamic mapping
A live dynamic map that provides for increased convenience for a user at a venue is disclosed. The live dynamic map may be branded for a venue, shows points of interest and paths between locations, includes a messaging capability, and allows users to be social with one another as well as venue management. Live branded mapping may allow for similar engagement on a region-by-region, neighborhood-by-neighborhood, or even brand-by-brand basis. By engaging on a hyper-local level, the present mapping platform can better target user and payload delivering and improve upon business to consumer brand engagement.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USING WI-FI LOCATION DATA FOR LOCATION BASED REWARDS
Providing a purchase incentive to a mobile device based for example the user's location, predicted route of travel, and prior transactions. A tracking server computer determines a number of locations of a mobile device as it travels along a route and an associated timeframe when it is at each of the locations. The tracking server computer records the locations and associated timeframes in a location log and analyzes the location log to predict a subsequent location and associated timeframe that the mobile device will be at that location. The tracking server computer then determines a merchant proximate to the predicted subsequent location of the mobile device and generates a purchase incentive for use at the merchant and delivers the purchase incentive to the mobile device. In the alternative, the incentive may be generated by a merchant computer or the mobile device.
Cross-merchant promotions
Technology is disclosed for facilitating and processing cross-merchant promotions. In examples, the disclosed technology comprises identifying a first merchant and a second merchant as complementary merchants based at least in part on first transaction data associated with a plurality of merchants; generating a recommendation for the first and second merchants to participate in a cross-merchant promotion; receiving an indication that the first merchant and the second merchant intend to participate in the cross-merchant promotion; receiving second transaction data for a second transaction of the first merchant; applying the cross-merchant promotion to the second transaction based at least in part on a payment card number offered for payment in the second transaction; processing payment for the second transaction based at least in part on the cross-merchant promotion; and apportioning the payment between the first and second merchant according to an agreement between them.
System and method for printing location-based, customized data
The present disclosure is directed to a printing system. The printing system includes a geographic location server on a network that has access to a geographic location database. The printing system also includes a user profile server that has access to a user profile database. The printing system also includes a mobile client device that can communicate with the geographic location server and the user profile server and is associated with a user profile included in the user profile database. The geographic location server and the user profile server cooperatively provide print data when the mobile client device is within a threshold distance of a geographic position of one geographic location stored within the geographic location database. The print data is based on one location-based artifact of the geographic location and user profile data, and is printed by a printing device.
PROVIDING AN IMAGE OF AN ITEM TO ADVERTISE THE ITEM
A seller device executing a seller module captures an image of an item available for purchase and uploads the image to a host machine. The host machine receives the image of the item and provides the image and a seller address to a buyer device. The buyer device executing a buyer module presents the image and the seller address to a user. The seller address is usable to initiate a communication with the seller of the item. The host machine may provide the seller module to the seller device, and the host machine may provide the buyer module to the buyer device. The host machine may also communicate the image to an advertisement server configured to publish the image as a listing of the item.
Method And Apparatus For Associating Commenting Information With One Or More Objects
An approach is provided for presenting a user interface and associating one or more commenting information with on one or more content items detected in one or more media items. Further, a user may associate one or more commenting information related to a point of interest/object wherein one or more content items associated with the point of interest/object may be retrieved and aggregated with the one or more commenting information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPLOYING DYNAMIC GEO-FENCES BASED ON CONTENT CONSUMPTION LEVELS IN A GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Systems and methods are provided for determining in real-time geographic areas having a threshold level of content consumption and deploying dynamic geo-fences to contain these geographic areas. These dynamic geo-fences provide a means for timing message notifications in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a dynamic geo-fence created based on real-time content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.
CONSUMPTION BASED SUBSCRIPTION FREQUENCY RECOMMENDATIONS
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for consumption based subscription frequency recommendations. A system configured to practice the example method first evaluates purchase statistics for an item to determine a consumption frequency. The system receives from a user a request for the item, and presents to the user a subscription recommendation based on the consumption frequency. The system can also provide recommendations for accessories by evaluating purchase statistics for an item to determine an accessory for the item, wherein a number of times the accessory is purchased with the item exceeds a threshold, receiving from a user a request for a subscription for recurring purchases of the item, and presenting to the user a recommendation to include the accessory as part of the subscription.
Transaction tracking and incentives
Techniques for providing friction-free transactions using geolocation and user identifiers are described herein. These techniques may ascertain a user's location based on a location of a mobile device. A transaction between the user and a merchant may be completed with zero or minimal input from the user based on the geolocation of the mobile device and the user identifiers. In some implementations, a transaction initiated earlier is completed when the mobile device arrives at the merchant. Additionally, a parent-child or similar relationship may be established between multiple devices. Security on the mobile device based may be provided by biometric identification and calculation of variance from regular movement patterns. Advertisements may be sent to the mobile device based on bids from merchants near to the mobile device. Points may be accumulated through transactions with merchants and later redeemed for free or discounted goods and/or services.
