TRANSACTION COMPLETION BASED ON GEOLOCATION ARRIVAL
20170163655 · 2017-06-08 ·

Techniques for providing friction-free transactions using geolocation and user identifiers are described herein. These techniques may ascertain a user's location based on a location of a mobile device. A transaction between the user and a merchant may be completed with zero or minimal input from the user based on the geolocation of the mobile device and the user identifiers. In some implementations, a transaction initiated earlier is completed when the mobile device arrives at the merchant. Additionally, a parent-child or similar relationship may be established between multiple devices. Security on the mobile device based may be provided by biometric identification and calculation of variance from regular movement patterns. Advertisements may be sent to the mobile device based on bids from merchants near to the mobile device. Promotions may be sent to the mobile device when more than a threshold number of mobile devices are located at the same merchant.

USING MICROPATTERNS TO MOTIVATE A CUSTOMER
20170161780 · 2017-06-08 · ·

A method and system for using micropatterns to motivate a customer is disclosed. The technology determines that a triggering event is likely. In addition, a customer's location is also determined. A micropattern outlook for a customer's location is accessed. A time when there will be a forecast break in a micropattern is determined. A message is then provided to the customer to incentivize the customer, the message having a time window within the forecast break in the microsystem and an incentive for the customer, wherein the incentive is not related to the micropattern.

Protecting customers from surveillance

Techniques for providing an information masking service may be provided. For example, an association between masking information and one or more masking profiles may be maintained where each masking profile indicates usage behavior of a user at a particular location. In embodiments, a location of a user device may be determined based at least in part on location information received from a user device. A particular masking profile of the one or more masking profiles may be selected based at least in part on the determined location. The masking information that corresponds to the particular masking profile may be provided to the user device where the masking information is configured to be utilized by the user device when communicating with a network of the determined location rather than the default identification information of the user device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING, PROVIDING, AND MANAGING AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATIONS BASED ON USER PREFERENCES

A computing system includes at least one processing circuit to receive, via a network interface, an indication to link a user profile of a first third party system with an account of a provider institution; transmit, via the network interface, a request for interaction data of the first third party system; receive, via the network interface, the interaction data associated with the user profile; transmit, via the network interface, a request for third party information of a second third party system; receive, via the network interface, the third party information of the second third party system; compare the received interaction data and the received third party information to determine at least one correlation between the interaction data and the third party information; and transmit, via the network interface, to a user device, a notification based on the at least one correlation.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEPLOYING DYNAMIC GEO-FENCES BASED ON CONTENT CONSUMPTION LEVELS IN A GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
20170150312 · 2017-05-25 · ·

Systems and methods are provided for determining in real-time geographic areas having a threshold level of content consumption and deploying dynamic geo-fences to contain these geographic areas. These dynamic geo-fences provide a means for timing message notifications in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a dynamic geo-fence created based on real-time content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.

System for Promoting Spontaneous Purchases of Goods Using Prestocked Lockers and Proximity Marketing
20170148059 · 2017-05-25 ·

System for promoting spontaneous purchases of goods using prestocked lockers and proximity marketing. Locker banks having secure lockers are deployed at strategic locations near consumers. The lockers are prestocked with items available for purchase. The prestocked items are marketed to roaming consumers whose mobile devices report Global Positioning System (GPS) positions near the locker banks. When purchase commitments respecting prestocked items are received from consumers via their mobile devices, access keys to lockers where the purchased items are stocked are activated and the consumers retrieve the purchased items from the lockers using the access keys.

Searching and accessing software application functionality using concepts

A method includes selecting function records by a computing device. Each function record includes an application access mechanism, application state information, and a concept name. The method also includes aggregating the application state information included in the selected function records and generating a new function record that includes new application state information comprising the aggregated application state information. The method also includes generating a new application access mechanism for the new function record that is different than the application access mechanisms included in the selected function records, receiving a search query from a user device, and identifying the new function record using the search query. The method also includes selecting the new application access mechanism from the new function record and transmitting the new application access mechanism to the user device.

Consumption based subscription frequency recommendations

Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for consumption based subscription frequency recommendations. A system configured to practice the example method first evaluates purchase statistics for an item to determine a consumption frequency. The system receives from a user a request for the item, and presents to the user a subscription recommendation based on the consumption frequency. The system can also provide recommendations for accessories by evaluating purchase statistics for an item to determine an accessory for the item, wherein a number of times the accessory is purchased with the item exceeds a threshold, receiving from a user a request for a subscription for recurring purchases of the item, and presenting to the user a recommendation to include the accessory as part of the subscription.

Social journey

Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses provide a system that may facilitate communications between drivers who share a route. The system may allow communications to be sent from one driver to another driver and allow drivers to post queries to other drivers sharing a route. Computing devices in the vehicle may collect route data for the system to evaluate and to use in identifying drivers sharing a route.

Method and apparatus for associating commenting information with one or more objects

An approach is provided for presenting a user interface and associating one or more commenting information with on one or more content items detected in one or more media items. Further, a user may associate one or more commenting information related to a point of interest/object wherein one or more content items associated with the point of interest/object may be retrieved and aggregated with the one or more commenting information.
