PHYSICAL KNOWLEDGE ACTION TRIGGERS
Methods, systems, and apparatus, for defining and monitoring an event for a physical entity and the performance of an action in response to the occurrence of the event. A method includes receiving data indicating an event for a physical entity, the event specified in part by a physical environment feature for which the occurrence of the event is to be monitored by the data processing apparatus; receiving data indicating an action associated with the event and to be taken in response to the occurrence of the event; monitoring for the occurrence of the event for the physical entity; and in response to the occurrence of the event, causing the action associated with the event to be performed.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING LOCATION OF POP DISPLAYS WITH WIRELESS BEACONS USING MOBILE APPLICATIONS ON MOBILE DEVICES
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. A wireless signal from a POP display may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may provide the unique identifier in the wireless signal and a retail location of the mobile device to a remote server. The retail location of the mobile device may be provided by a mobile application (e.g., a retailer app) on the mobile device. The remote server may determine the retail location of the POP display by associating the retail location of the mobile device with the wireless beacon.
DETERMINING LOCATION OF POP DISPLAYS WITH WIRELESS BEACONS USING TIME-BASED INTERACTIONS WITH MOBILE DEVICES
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (POP) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. A wireless beacon may be used to transmit a wireless signal from a POP display, where the wireless signal includes a first data packet with a unique identifier for the wireless beacon. The wireless signal from the wireless beacon may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may provide a second data packet to a remote server. The second data packet may include the unique identifier, a time stamp, and a geographic location of the mobile device. The remote server may retrieve retail locations associated with the promotional campaign and a selected time period associated with the POP display from a database coupled to the remote server. The remote server may associate the POP display with the selected retail location.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HANDSET OPERATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK
User equipment (UE) is configured to automatically detect the presence of an access point (AP) in any one of a plurality of venues and to transmit identification information to the AP to authenticate the UE. The venue receiving the authentication request transfers the authentication request and identification information to an authentication server to automatically authenticate the UE whenever it is carried inside a venue. The venues may be coupled to a Cloud network with the authentication information stored on the Cloud network. Whenever the UE enters any of the venues, the UE is automatically authenticated when it comes within range of any AP within any of the venues. The venue may use an application program interface to provide advertising, coupons, web links, images, audio, video, streaming video, and the like to the UE. The venue may direct the UE to a website or provide a link to the website.
Advertisement system based on smart card, a method thereof, and smart card applied to the same
Disclosed are a system and a method for providing an advertisement service and a smart card applied to the same. The system includes the smart card to extract meta data by searching for accumulated and processed personalized information according to the request for a personalized advertisement from a user terminal, and to provide the URL information for advertisement contents by searching for the advertisement contents, which are embedded based on the SCWS function, according to the meta data to provide the URL information of the advertisement contents. Personalized information is obtained based on the SCWS function and the USIM, and a messaging advertisement service is realized based on the personalized information, so that information focusing on a use extracted through personal behavior analysis is provided.
Computerized Information and Display Apparatus
Apparatus useful for obtaining and displaying information. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a wireless network interface, touch screen input and display device, and speech processing apparatus configured to receive user speech input and enable performance of various tasks via a remote entity, such as obtaining desired information relating to a desired entity or organization In one implementation, user touch input on the input and display device is converted to spatial or geographic coordinates, and imagery relating to those coordinates is provided to the user on the same device.
CUSTOMIZED VARIABLE CONTENT MARKETING DISTRIBUTION
Customized variable content marketing distribution is disclosed. One disclosed example method includes defining a retail zone based on a location of one or more retail stores, identifying a plurality of subjects to be advertised, selecting a subset of consumers within the retail zone based on consumer data, and generating variable content advertising for the subset of consumers based on the consumer data and the plurality of subjects to be advertised. The example method also includes printing a segmented advertisement brochure based on the generated variable content advertising, where the advertisement brochure includes a plurality of segment portions, where a first segment portion of the plurality of segment portions includes a first subject of the plurality of subjects to be advertised and a second segment portion of the plurality of segment portions includes a second subject of the plurality of subjects to be advertised, and where the second subject is distinct from the first subject.
Social where next suggestion
A group recommendation provides end users in a social group a set of recommended destinations based on the combined personal preferences of the members of the social group. Members of a social group are identified using a combination of location based signals and social graph information in response to receiving a recommendation request. The group recommendation may be determined by combining the personal preferences associated with each member of the group into a master preference profile. Alternatively, the group recommendation may be determined by first calculating an individual recommendation list for each member of the social group and then calculating a composite score for each recommendation on the individual recommendation lists.
Methods, apparatuses and computer-readable media for annotating ads with location tags
When a contact of a user tags a location, a posted comment, or a shared item, the location tag may be used to boost ad scores and/or annotate content such as advertisements. The location tag may be used to annotate ads to indicate that the contact has tagged a location associated with the ad. Persons other than contacts of the user may also tag and have their location tags be counted in annotations as well. Advertisers may specify locations that are associated with their ads. Location tags may be stored in a table, and used by an ads server to boost scores of ads that have been location tagged. An annotation server may also use location tags to construct annotations that are sent to a client device operated by the user. The annotations may be based on one or more location tags made by one or more users.
REMOTE TRAVEL SERVICE
A client requests for an agent to provide a service from a server, where the server response with a list of agents based upon the location of the agent relative to the client.
