Prioritising advertisements for a location
A mechanism is provided for prioritizing advertisements for a location. The mechanism identifies one or more person at the location and identifies a set of advertisements associated with a set of products for the location. The mechanism determines a score for the one or more persons indicating their likelihood to promote or detract from each of the set of products. The mechanism prioritizes the advertisements in the set according to the aggregate scores of the one or more persons for the products of the advertisements. The mechanism identifies a target person at the location to which the advertisement is to be directed and wherein determining a score of the one or more persons excludes or weights the target person.
Dynamic geohash-based geofencing
A method and system for dynamic geohash-based geofencing within a geographic area including obtaining metadata including a campaign identifier and geometric data, generating a geometry using the geometric data, mapping the geometry to a geohash grid to obtain a first geohash set having a first geohash in the geohash grid, storing the first geohash and the campaign identifier in an entry in a geohash index, obtaining a user position within the geographic area from a mobile device, generating a user geohash using the user position, matching the user geohash to the entry in the geohash index, obtaining the campaign identifier from the entry in the geohash index, and providing content corresponding to the campaign identifier to the mobile device.
Billing engine and method of use
A wireless communication device associated with a mobile operator network transmits an authentication request for network access via a wireless access point (AP) using a transceiver other than the cellular network transceiver. Device authentication can occur directly with the mobile operator network or via a proxy server. Upon authentication, the requesting device may access a wide area network in a data off-load operational mode and the data flow to and from the device via the AP is monitored and reported to mobile operator network associated with the requesting device. The wireless communication device can communicate with any of a plurality of APs distributed in a venue during the data off-load operational mode.
Mobile device sighting location analytics and profiling system
The present disclosure describes systems and methods for providing enhanced location analysis and consumer insights using mobile sightings data. An approximate geographic location is useful to mobile service providers and advertisers who wish to provide targeted content to consumers based on their location. The location analysis described herein provides more depth and detail about the detected geographic location of the consumer and also insights into business locations visited by the user of the device, consumer/market segments and patterns of behavior (for an individual consumer and/or for aggregated group of consumers), retail trends and patterns, and other profile information. For example, a location profile analytics system as described herein can determine a probability that an approximate geographic location actually corresponds to a specific geographic location, such as a business location. The analysis performed by the location profile analytics system may be further refined based on a number of additional input parameters.
FACILITY WAYFINDING SYSTEM
A facility wayfinding system is provided which includes an interactive public display device and a mobile device, running a mobile wayfinding application. The interactive public display device, which is situated at a first location within a facility, displays a facility map showing facility units, receives a user selection of a facility unit as a second location, and displays a route from the first location to the second location on the facility map. The mobile device also displays the facility map, displays a route from a start location to a destination location on the facility map, and updates the start location to the first location and the destination location to the second location by synchronizing with the interactive public display device.
System and Method for Printing Location-based, Customized Data
The present disclosure is directed to a printing system. The printing system includes a geographic location server on a network that has access to a geographic location database. The printing system also includes a user profile server that has access to a user profile database. The printing system also includes a mobile client device that can communicate with the geographic location server and the user profile server and is associated with a user profile included in the user profile database. The geographic location server and the user profile server cooperatively provide print data when the mobile client device is within a threshold distance of a geographic position of one geographic location stored within the geographic location database. The print data is based on one location-based artifact of the geographic location and user profile data, and is printed by a printing device.
Head mounted display apparatus, information terminal, and methods and information storage devices for controlling head mounted display apparatus and information terminal
A head mounted display (HMD) apparatus including a head posture information sensor for sensing a value of a head posture information and a display for displaying an image in a display area. An information terminal (IT) including an IT-side sensor for sensing a value of an IT-side information. In a first control mode the IT transmits a first control mode information to the HMD apparatus, wherein the first control mode information is determined based on a received first value of the head posture information and the value of the IT-side information, and the HMD apparatus sets the image to be displayed based on the first control mode information. In a second control mode, the HMD apparatus sets the image to be displayed based on a second value of the head posture information. Methods and information storage devices storing programs for controlling the HMD apparatus and IT are also provided.
Attention spots in a map interface
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing content items based on a location of a user's attention in a map interface. In one aspect, a method includes receiving data specifying one or more map attention spots in a viewport of a map interface presented at a user device. Each map attention spot is a location on a map of the map interface corresponding to a specified amount of user activity. Content items are identified for presentation with the map. For each content item and map attention spot, a distance between a presentation location for the content item on the map and a location of the identified map attention spot on the map is determined. A rank score for the content item based at least on a respective content item score for the content item and each determined distance for the content item.
Methods and systems for automatic electric vehicle identification and charging via wireless charging pads
A system for charging a battery of a vehicle using inductive charging is provided. The system includes a charging pad for inductive charge transfer. The charge pad is configured with electronics that enables wireless communication. A self-aligning mechanism is part of the charging pad, and the self-aligning mechanism is configured to adjust positioning of the charging pad when the vehicle is disposed over the charging pad. A computer associated with the charging pad is configured to execute method operations for communicating with electronics of the vehicle to enable charging of the battery of the vehicle. The electronics of the vehicle is configured to identify a user account for charging the vehicle. An application associated with the user account is configured to receive updates regarding a charging status of the vehicle responsive to said inductive charge transfer being enabled.
PROVIDING AN ITEM IMAGE
A first device captures an image of an item and provides the image depicting the item, information usable to direct an electronic communication to the first device, and a textual descriptor to a host machine. The host machine is accessible by a second device. The first device receives an electronic communication from the second device regarding the image based on the information usable to direct the electronic communication to the first device that is associated with the image. The image is identifiable by the second device based on a tag for the image selected by the host machine based on the textual information. The communication is received by the first device based on a location of the first device relative to a location of the second device.
