Access requests to a database are monitored for average time taken to fulfill the requests and whether a queue of unfulfilled requests is building up beyond an acceptable threshold. When the queue has built up beyond the acceptable threshold and/or when the average time taken to fulfill the requests has exceeded a delay threshold value, database access requests may be rejected. In one advantageous aspect, a graceful degradation in performance may be achieved by selectively rejecting access requests of a lower priority and favoring access requests of a higher priority for execution.

Providing seamless online video advertisements

A computer-implemented method of providing seamless online video advertisements includes rendering a video advertisement on a first web page in a first tab. The computer-implemented method also includes recording current time of play constantly during the rendering of the video advertisement and receiving a request for a second web page in the first tab from the user. Further, the computer-implemented method includes unloading the first web page and loading the second web page in the first tab. Moreover, the computer-implemented method includes retrieving current time of play stored corresponding to the unloading and resume the rendering the video advertisement on the second web page based on the current time of play retrieved.

Customized allocation framework

Dynamic allocation customization is disclosed. A template associated with content to be published on behalf of one or more entities is obtained. The template includes at least one allocation parameter. For each entity in the one or more entities, a data store including allocation information pertaining to the entity is queried based at least in part on the at least one allocation parameter included in the template. In response to the query, one or more allocation data values are obtained. An object including the obtained one or more allocation data values is generated based at least in part on the template. MODIFYING MEDIA SCHEDULE OF FIRST MEDIA CHANNEL BASED ON DETECTION OF CONTENT TRIGGER BROADCAST ON SECOND CHANNEL

An automated media scheduling system maintains information associating multiple different content triggers with multiple different content adjustment parameters. The content adjustment parameters include a first content trigger associated with a first adjustment parameter specifying a first media channel to be used to deliver first triggered content associated with the first content trigger. The media scheduling system monitors media delivered via a second media channel, different than the first media channel, to determine whether the first content trigger was delivered via the second media channel. In response to determining that the first content trigger was delivered via the second media channel, the media schedule of the first media channel is automatically adjusted in accordance with content adjustment parameters associated with the first content trigger, wherein automatically adjusting includes altering the media schedule of the first media channel to include the first triggered content.

The current invention relates to a computer-generated method for optimizing placement of advertising content across multiple different devices. The system can allocate advertising campaigns and plans to various inventory types based on the probability of accurate consumer matching. Consumer matching can be achieved by generation of look-alike models in a consumer's device graph to predict future consumption behavior. The system includes an interface through which an advertiser can access relevant information about inventory and success of a given placement.

GOAL-BASED METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY SETS

A goal-based method and device, as disclosed herein, are usable to identify advertising opportunity sets. The method, in an embodiment, includes executing a plurality of computer-readable instructions to cause at least one processor to modify at least one opportunity set as a result of such opportunity set deviating from an advertising goal by a first extent. The modifying step results in a modified opportunity set that deviates from the advertising goal by a second extent. The execution of the instructions causes an output that identifies the modified opportunity set.
