METHOD FOR SELLING NO-SHOW ITEM AT SPECIAL PRICE AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
Disclosed herein are a method for selling a no-show item at a special price and an apparatus therefor. A no-show item may be sold through processes of acquiring information about the item from a store at which the no-show has occurred, among multiple stores registered in an application, creating promotion information for selling the item at a special price using the information about the item, extracting a promotion target group to which the promotion information is provided in consideration of at least one of the location of the store at which the no-show has occurred, the information about the item, and user information, and providing the promotion information to the promotion target group based on the application. Accordingly, the loss suffered by stores at which no-shows occur may be reduced.
DETECTING EXPIRED CONTENT WITHIN SLOTS IN A USER INTERFACE
Disclosed are various embodiments for generating a content page with markup language corresponding to user interface widgets. A user interface widget can generate markup language to be incorporated into the content page. The markup language can be analyzed to determine whether it contains a content identifier. The content identifier can be embedded within a portion of a URL. An analysis of the content identifier can be performed to determine whether the content identifier corresponds to expired content.
System and method for transmitting and receiving multimedia content
A system for providing multimedia content. The system includes means for transmitting targeted multimedia content to customers via a telecommunications network; and automatically receiving and outputting the content on a mobile platform. In the illustrative embodiment, the system includes means for encoding, compressing and storing content on a server. An applet is transmitted from the server to each mobile platform. When executed at the mobile platform, the applet deciphers the content and retrieves a schedule with a playback time. The content is then played out without interrupting the user. The applet may include credit code which adds time to a SIM card on the mobile platform giving a user credit time to use the device for one or more functions (communication, games, etc.) at no additional charge. The applet may also include a bar code which when displayed to a third party vendor, allows the user to receive a discount on purchases of goods or services related to the ad. In the best mode, the mobile platform includes a cellular transceiver adapted for a GSM or CDMA network. The mobile platform stores data relating to the output of the content and sends this data on command back to the server. The server includes code for forwarding this feedback data to advertisers.
PERSONAL ACTIVITY TRACKING SYSTEM
An activity tracking device is defined to detect and record movement of a person to which the activity tracking device is affixed. A secondary electronic device is defined separate from the activity tracking device. The secondary electronic device is defined to receive data from the activity tracking device regarding the detected and recorded movement of the person. A website is defined to communicate with connected devices including the secondary electronic device. The website is defined to provide a user account for the person. The website is defined to convey information regarding the detected and recorded movement of the person through the user account.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR RECOMMENDING MEDIA ASSETS BASED ON THE GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION AT WHICH THE MEDIA ASSETS ARE FREQUENTLY CONSUMED
Methods and systems are provided herein for recommending a media asset based on a geographic location at which that media asset was frequently consumed. For example, the system may monitor a location, such as New York City or Times Square, to determine popular media assets watched there, such as The Avengers, and when another user visits New York City, the system may then notify the user that the movie, such as The Avengers, is associated with New York City. The system stores the geographic locations associated with the media asset in the database based on the consumption of the media asset so that other users may be notified which media assets are associated with each geographic location.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A STYLING PLATFORM
Embodiments of the invention include methods and systems for a styling platform. In one embodiment, a method is implemented in a beauty application of a mobile device. The method includes applying a styling feature to a facial image through the beauty application, the method further includes transmitting a message from a first user to a second user through the beauty application, the message containing a hyperlink to the facial image with the styling feature applied. The method further includes establishing a communication session within the beauty application between the first and second users responsive to receiving a reply from the second user, and exchanging information regarding the styling feature within the beauty application between the first and second users using the communication session.
Systems and methods for providing offers using a mobile device
A wireless device is enabled to provide offers. The wireless device receives card data for a financial account card and stores the card data in a memory associated with the wireless device. Responsive to using the card data in a transaction at a first merchant location, the wireless device receives transaction line-item data from a computing system associated with the first merchant location. The wireless device determines merchant information for a second merchant location and determines an offer associated with the second merchant location based on the line-item data and the merchant information for the second merchant. The wireless device presents the offer when the wireless device is near the second merchant location.
System and method operable to facilitate preparing an advertising project
A system and method operable to facilitate preparing of an advertising project are disclosed herein. The method, in an embodiment, includes a plurality of steps related to preparing an advertising project before any ads are published based on the advertising project. The steps include processing rule data associated with at least one rule; processing goal data associated with at least one goal factor; determining a plurality of ad spot sets depending at least partially on the at least one rule; determining which ones of the eligible ad spot sets either reaches the at least one goal factor or reaches a designated proximity to the at least one goal factor, resulting in a plurality of spot set candidates; and processing heuristic logic that includes at least one control setting and a plurality of optimization steps. The method also includes identifying at least one of the modified sets that results from the optimization steps. The advertising project is deployable as a launched advertising project in which the at least one identified modified set is publishable within different markets of a territory. The markets can include geographic areas, such as city areas, within a territory, such as any country.
Behavior shift-based interest level prediction
A method includes providing a Fibonacci confidence interval level on user program viewership data to distinguish user interest level in different linear entertainment programs. The method also includes creating a behavior shift feature space for acquiring information about user behavior over time based on a behavior sequence, a first derivative on the behavior sequence, and a second derivative on the behavior sequence. The method further includes utilizing, based on a trained machine learning model, a transformer structure and attention to map user data from the behavior shift feature space into a prediction of the Fibonacci confidence interval level.
Transaction and communication system and method for vendors and promoters
Transaction and communication systems and methods are disclosed for vendors and promoters. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide a deal manager system comprising transaction data associated with the promotional activities of one or more promoters, such as promoters registered with the deal manager system. The deal manager system can process the transaction data and provide compensation to promoters for their promotional activities based at least partly thereon. In certain embodiments, at least a portion of the transaction data can be provided to one or more vendors. A vendor may direct that benefits or promotional material be provided to a subset of promoters based at least in part on the received transaction data. The deal manager system may include promoter contact information, and materials provided by the vendor may be conveyed by the deal manager system to certain promoters based on the same.
