VEHICLE MIDDLEWARE
The present disclosure describes a vehicle implementing one or more processing modules. These modules are configured to connect and interface with the various buses in the vehicle, where the various buses are connected with the various components of the vehicle to facilitate information transfer among the vehicle components. Each processing module is further modularized with the ability to add and replace other functional modules now or in the future. These functional modules can themselves act as distinct vehicle components. Each processing modules may hand-off processing to other modules depending on its health, processing load, or by third-party control. Thus, the plurality of processing modules helps to implement a middleware point of control to the vehicle with redundancy in processing and safety and security awareness in their applications.
Food and Beverage Delivery System on Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Vehicle
Provided herein is an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle fleet comprising a plurality of autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles for delivering a food or beverage item to a customer. The autonomous vehicle herein may comprise of storage units that are easily configured to effectively and efficiently carry different types of food or beverage items, including a temperature control system configured to maintain a target unit temperature for different types of food or beverage items.
User controlled access to vehicle relevant information
A digital license plate can support methods for assuring preservation and user authorized electronic access to vehicle relevant information or vehicle history. An external user interface to the digital license plate is configured to allow a user to provide user authorization to control release of sensor and other data from the digital license plate.
Vehicle communication system
A communication system for a vehicle includes a communication device disposed in the vehicle. Responsive to the communication device receiving an input from a vehicle system indicative of a potential service need, the communication device requests an input from the driver of the vehicle pertaining to a desired characteristic of a service provider that can address the potential service need. Responsive to the communication device receiving the input from the driver, the communication system determines a plurality of service providers that (i) can address the potential service need and (ii) has the desired characteristic. The communication device communicates a list of potential service providers to the driver and, responsive to a selection by the driver of a selected service provider, the communication system sets a navigation system of the vehicle to the selected service provider.
Dynamic vending system and method
A dynamic vending system includes a vending manager and a delivery vehicle. The vending manager is configured to receive and evaluate a plurality of dynamic conditions from the delivery vehicle and to provide instructions including a planned route to the delivery vehicle based on the dynamic conditions. The delivery vehicle includes a plurality of products available for sale, and is configured to execute the instructions including the planned route. The delivery vehicle is further configured to receive requests from consumers to stop along the planned route and to execute a transaction with the consumer for one of the products available for sale. The transaction includes the selection of one of the products available for sale, receipt of payment for the product, and dispensing the selected product to the consumer.
Apparatus and method for using connected vehicles as an advertisement platform
By way of example, novel systems and methods for reproducing advertisements on connected vehicles are disclosed. In one example embodiment, a system for delivering advertisements include a plurality of connected vehicles participating in an advertisement event, and the plurality of connected vehicles is each configured to receive an instruction from one of the connected vehicles or a server over a network to cluster near or at a target area for reproducing an advertisement in a coordinated manner as a group of the connected vehicles.
Peer share community system
An information sharing system with a display device apparatus and a network computing system. The display device apparatus includes a display screen connected to a base capable of being manually moved by a person while the base supports the screen. The display device apparatus also includes a power system, a communication subsystem, a memory and a computing device. The communication subsystem communicates with the computing device, the network computing system, and the memory. The network computing system has an end-user display screen. The network computing system is configured to receive media and media secondary information, associate the media and media secondary information to a unique identifier, and show the media and the unique identifier on the display screen. The networking computing system is further configured to receive the unique identifier and an end-user account, and then show the media secondary information on the end-user display screen.
Verification system for message delivery and processing
A verification system implements technical solutions for verifying the delivery of messages transmitted by mobile communication systems and the processing of those messages. The message verification system includes a model database and verification processing circuitry configured to receive transmitter route data, receive receiver route data, determine a viewshed for a message, and compare the viewshed to the receiver route data.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTING A CONTROL FUNCTION BASED ON A USER PROFILE
The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.
