The consumers utilize the application to summon a transportation vendor at designated locations. The vendor then transports consumers to various destinations. While the consumer pays for transportation, the application permits the consumer to earn a subsidy from a provider of marketing content broadcasted by a vendor's device, which subsidy is then applied to the immediate transportation request or held as credit for future transportation needs. The credit is earned by consumer listening to one or more live or prerecorded sponsored messages, that are generally marketing messages. The application is also used to incentivize drivers to participate in the network of vendors sustained by the software application. It does so by partially subsidizing commissions owned by vendors, provided that vendors abide by the rules of the software application. The primary rule of the software application is to ensure that the vendor does not interfere with the translation of a message made by a sponsor to a passenger and that the vendor complies with a preset minimum broadcasting level.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
By way of example, a connected vehicle in the form of an electric vehicle is disclosed that the electric vehicle includes an advertisement system, which is configured to: detect presence of people near the connected vehicle via one or more proximity sensors; and reproduce, in response to the detection of presence of people, one or more advertisements via external displays and/or external speakers of the connected vehicle. Further, the connected vehicle may include an advertisement identification unit coupled to the advertisement system and configured to recognize and identify one or more visual contents of an advertisement reproduced on an external display of another vehicle or a billboard display nearby.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
By way of example, novel systems and methods for reproducing advertisements on connected vehicles are disclosed. In one example embodiment, a system for delivering advertisements include a plurality of connected vehicles participating in an advertisement event, and the plurality of connected vehicles is each configured to receive an instruction from one of the connected vehicles or a server over a network to cluster near or at a target area for reproducing an advertisement in a coordinated manner as a group of the connected vehicles.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
By way of example, various methods for reproducing advertisements using a plurality of advertisement vehicles as well as controlling the plurality of advertisement vehicles are provided. In one example, a method for controlling a plurality of advertisement vehicles is provided as follows. Initially, information on the plurality of advertisement vehicles that are going to carry out a specific event is verified. Information on the specific event is sent to the plurality of advertisement vehicles and real-time traffic and/or people density information in an area in which the specific event is to be carried out is collected. A starting location of the specific event may also be determined based on at least one of: the real-time traffic density information or real-time location information of the plurality of advertisement vehicles. Then, driving route guidance with an initial destination set to the starting location of the specific event is sent to the plurality of advertisement vehicles such that the plurality of advertisement vehicles convenes at the starting location of the specific event.
Electronic Display Systems Connected to Vehicles and Vehicle-Based Systems
Electronic digital display systems, including roadside display devices, vehicle-based devices, personal mobile devices, intermediary servers, advertising servers, and/or additional external data sources may operate individually or in combination to identify one or more vehicle locations, driving routes, driver and passenger characteristics, and the like. Vehicle and individual characteristics may be determined based on data received from traffic cameras, vehicle-based devices, personal mobile devices, and/or other data sources. Based on the vehicle characteristics, individual characteristics, driving data and driving patterns, and the like, digital content may be determined for electronic roadside displays to be viewable by the approaching vehicles, and/or other digital display devices to be viewable by associated individuals via other display devices and at other times. Various techniques may be used to determine customized digital content, such as targeted advertisements and/or driving or vehicle safety messages, including retrieval and aggregation of certain characteristics, prioritization of characteristics, and real-time auctions for advertisements. Additionally, certain systems may be interactive to allow user responses and follow-up content via on-board vehicle devices or other user devices.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
By way of example, a connected vehicle including an in-vehicle audio system and an advertisement system. The in-vehicle audio system is configured to stream music inside the connected vehicle for one or more occupants in the connected vehicle and the advertisement system is coupled to the in-vehicle audio system and is configured to: detect the playing of the music, and reproduce, based on the music played, one or more advertisements for the one or more occupants inside the connected vehicle. Further, the one or more advertisements may be created based on a melody or one or more segments of the music that is played.

A cart for providing service to passengers in a vehicle. The cart includes a housing having a storage volume with one or more openings to the storage volume, opposite housing sidewalls, and wheels connected to the bottom of the housing. The cart also includes a wireless communication module supported by the housing, with the wireless communication module configured to establish a data communications link in accordance with at least one wireless communication protocol. A data processor is supported by the housing and connected in communication with the wireless communication module with the data processor executing a control system, and the control system receiving information via the data communications link. Sidewalls of the housing support an electronic display connected in communication to the control system and displaying information in accordance with commands received from the control system.

An electrically powered, wheeled delivery vehicle including a transport container with integrated advertising displays. The transport container having a plurality of walls configured to define an enclosure having an interior adapted for receiving goods to be transported. One of the walls includes a door which can be opened and closed to allow access to the interior of the container. The transport container includes at least one integrated advertising display including a display screen and a controller. The controller is programmed to cause the display screen to display an advertising message. The advertising message can be a dynamic display or a static display.
