OPTIMIZING INTEREST ACCRUAL BETWEEN A USER'S FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS

Techniques are disclosed utilizing cognitive computing to improve banking experiences. A user's financial account(s) may be monitored to predict when a surplus of funds is unnecessarily present and for how long this will likely be the case. Once this is determined, techniques include automatically drafting funds from the account to another account having a higher interest rate where the funds may accrue more interest. The techniques also include predicting when an overdraft may occur and taking appropriate action when such a prediction is made. Predictions may be based upon different weighted inputs used in accordance with a predictive modeling system, which may attempt to predict for a particular user, location, and retailer, whether the user will spend an anticipated amount in excess of the user's current balance. If so, passive (e.g., notifications) and active (e.g., transferring cover funds) actions may be performed.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MOBILE ADVERTISING SERVICES
20170372369 · 2017-12-28 ·

A system and method that can customize mobile advertising services and increase the effectiveness of advertising is provided. The method includes registering contact details of one or more advertisers in a phone book, receiving one or more mobile advertising messages from the registered advertisers, notifying a user of the reception of the mobile advertising messages, and displaying the received mobile advertising messages according to the user's confirmation request.

QUICK TRANSACTION COMPLETION USING MOBILE DEVICE
20170372405 · 2017-12-28 ·

A notification of a selection of a code displayed by a user computing device is received at a transaction processing server. One or more user identifiers associated with the user computing device are determined. Each user identifier identifies a user account at an online system and is determined based on a session with the online system active on the user computing device. Using the determined user identifiers, a user account including a mobile device identifier and user financial information is accessed. A request for user input is sent to a mobile device identified by the mobile device identifier. The request for user input includes a request for completion of a physical act on the mobile device by the user. Responsive to receiving an indication that the physical act was provided at the mobile device, the financial information is transmitted to a merchant server for conducting a financial transaction.

METHOD AND APPARTUS FOR ADVERTISING ON BASIS OF AREA USING DEVICE-TO-DEVICE DISCOVERY
20170372368 · 2017-12-28 ·

The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. A security problem in which information of a monitoring device is provided to another PLMN exists in the procedure for connecting ProSe Functions of two PLMNs and transmitting and receiving information therebetween, and thus, configuration of a D2D discovery service between different providers (inter PLMN) is difficult in reality, despite being defined in the standard. Therefore, the present invention provides a method of using a content server with an existing D2D discovery method in order to advertise, through D2D discovery, real-time local area advertisements to device of a plurality of providers. A monitoring device requests advertisement information directly from a content server, or requests advertisement information from a different PLMN ProSe Function, and thereby the other PLMN ProSe Function may request advertisement information from a content server.

DETECTION OF USAGE OF A PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Methods, systems, and apparatuses may provide for the auto-determination of partial usage of a physical environment and use derived intelligence to take various actions. This may allow for partial resulting maintenance of the physical environment based on a single use or use over time.

END-TO-END USER EXPERIENCES WITH A DIGITAL ASSISTANT
20170374176 · 2017-12-28 ·

A digital assistant supported across devices such as smartphones, tablets, personal computers, wearable computing devices, game consoles, and the like includes an end-to-end user experience client that interfaces with extensions to applications and/or remote cloud-based services so that user experiences, content, or features can be integrated with the digital assistant and rendered as a native digital assistant user experience. The digital assistant is configured to perform as an active participant in a user experience from its initiation to its conclusion (i.e., from “end-to-end”) by determining the user's intent, performing tasks and actions, providing status, and interacting with the user as needed. The digital assistant utilizes proximity sensing so that its end-to-end participation in a user experience may span different physical locations. Such capability can facilitate the performance of location-specific actions including authenticating the user to gain access to locations, information, or services that would be restricted from non-authenticated users.

MESSAGE-TRANSMITTAL STRATEGY OPTIMIZATION

Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for the determination of optimal communication scheduling. One method includes an operation for training a machine-learning program to generate a frequency model that determines a frequency for sending communications to users. The training utilizes training data defined by features related to user information and responses of users to previous communications to the users. The method further includes determining, by the frequency model and based on information about a first user, a first frequency for the first user. The first frequency identifies the number of communications to transmit to the first user per period of time. Further, the method includes operations for receiving a communication request to send one or more communications to the first user and determining send times for the one or more communications to the first user based on the first frequency. The communications are sent at the determined send times.

MODIFYING A PUSH NOTIFICATION IN RESPONSE TO AN EVENT

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for modification and/or removal of a push notification from a mobile device upon an event such as exit from an area. A positioning system tracks the location of a mobile device through an area. A push notification is presented to the mobile device while the device is in or near the area. If the user exits the area without acknowledgement of the message, the message is modified or removed.

COMMUNICATION SESSION BASED EVENT DRIVEN COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT
20170372366 · 2017-12-28 ·

A method includes detecting, via a server, a beginning of a communication session between multiple electronically connected users, initiating transfer, via the server, of multiple messages between the users, at least one message effecting a transfer of a random numerical value to a temporary pool of a first user to add to a total numerical value in the first user temporary pool, responsive to a change in the total numerical value in the first user temporary pool during the communication session, obtaining, via the server, a list of numerical values corresponding to digital content, at least one such digital content comprising a key communication offering the digital content in exchange for a first numerical value, comparing, via the server, the total numerical value in the first user temporary pool to the first numerical value, and initiating sending, via the server, the key communication to the first user if the total numerical value in the first user temporary pool is equal to or greater than the first numerical value.

Affiliate-Driven Benefits Matching System and Methods with Coupons
20170372361 · 2017-12-28 · ·

Methods and systems for matching a consumer to benefits offered by enabling organizations provide flexibility and utility to consumers in the marketplace for various products. Information about benefits and enabling organizations are provided and stored in a memory of a computer system. A search query including consumer interest data of a consumer, or results of such a search query, are received. The enabling organization information, benefit information, and search query or information related to the search query results are analyzed automatically in the computer system to determine whether any enabling organization to which the consumer is affiliated is offering a benefit for the consumer that is applicable to the consumer interest data. Also determined is whether a coupon is applicable to the consumer interest data and if the coupon can be aggregated with the benefit.
