A content output device includes: a display that outputs content; a communication unit that transmits at least one piece of beacon information correlated to the content which is being output by the display; and a CPU that makes responsive period information or unresponsive period information for a communication device based on the content which is being output by the display, and causes the communication unit to transmit the beacon information containing the responsive period information or the unresponsive period information, wherein the responsive period information or the unresponsive period information indicates a period which the communication device executes or does not execute an action corresponding to the received beacon information.

A system and method for providing information utilizing hyper-location to determine what types of or the content of relevant information to display to one or more end users. In various embodiments, the hyper-location is determined from or transmitted by beacons that communicate with portable electronic devices carried by the end users. The hyper-location information may be specific geographic locations of the beacons and or end users or may be specific locations relative to other locations, such as a position within a store or venue.

A third-party profile service based on a proxy server model is described, where a user's profile service resides at a URL, in contrast to a profile service that requires federation identity. A profile service is provided that augments location-based services offered by service providers targeting mobile users via, for example, wireless and Wifi Networks. Such embodiments facilitate cross-application installation of the particular target application program through a computer-executable tool capable of incorporation into any number of distinct application programs, including third-party application programs. Some example embodiments incorporate a computer-executable tool within a first application program installed on a mobile device, execute the first application program on the mobile device and, upon such execution, execute the computer-executable tool to detect system data from the mobile device, determine based at least in part on the system data that an application program set installed to the mobile device does not include a target application program, and in response to the determination use the computer-executable tool to cause rendering of a representation of the target application program within a first user interface associated with the first application program.

A system and method for distributing incentives via mobile devices is described. One embodiment, a computer-server-based method, receives a request from a merchant to generate an incentive which incentive is funded and initiated by the merchant, receives the incentive, associates the incentive with a recipient's phone number, and transmits a notification of the incentive to a mobile device associated with the recipient's phone number, the computer server acting as a server-side wallet for the incentive, the incentive being usable, through interaction with the computer server, by the recipient for the purchase of goods or services from the merchant associated with the incentive.

A live image providing system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a real-time live image of each specific location. The live image providing system includes a plurality of image provider terminals transmitting real-time image data containing an external view of a specific location and location information on the specific location, a live image service user terminal requesting for the real-time image data on the specific location, and a platform server transmitting to the live image service user terminal real-time image data of an image provider terminal having location information corresponding to the specific location when receiving a message requesting for the real-time image data on the specific location from the live image service user terminal.

The acquisition unit acquires user information that is information regarding a user who uses a terminal device that becomes a providing destination of content. The calculation unit calculates scores regarding a probability of the user performing a predetermined behavior for a plurality of pieces of the content on the basis of the user information acquired by the acquisition unit. The determination unit determines distribution content to be distributed to the terminal device on the basis of the scores of the plurality of pieces of content calculated by the calculation unit.
