An information processing apparatus for distributing distribution information to a user apparatus, the information processing apparatus executing an information processing method comprising: specifying, based on image capturing data acquired by an image capturing device of a vehicle, a state of a person associated with the user apparatus at the time of image capturing; and distributing, to the user apparatus, distribution information selected from a plurality of pieces of distribution information based on the specified state of the person.

Systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed for accurately identifying one or more mobile thing motion activity (MTMAs; e.g., stationary, walking, running, biking, driving, etc.) associated with a mobile thing (MT; e.g., a person) using sensor data from one or more sensors associated with a wireless communication device (WCD) transported by the MT and for facilitating purchase of a good or service based at least in part upon the one or more MTMAs and one or more predefined user preferences. The sensor data from the one or more sensors (e.g., accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, etc.) is designed to produce data indicative of physical movement of the WCD in three dimensions of a three dimensional (3D) space. In some embodiments, the one or more MTMAs are a plurality of instances of the same MTMA (e.g., a plurality of running sessions) and the purchase of the good or service (e.g., new running shoes) is initiated when a total time duration or total travel distance exceeds a predefined threshold (e.g., 300 hours or 500 miles, respectively), as defined by the WCD user in a predefined preference.

A system and method for a dynamic-link communication process between an electronic device and a target product or service by serving content or facilitating communication between two electronic devices. The first step is engagement by an electronic device with an initiator that is linked with a specific product or service that triggers a text message to auto-populate on the electronic device. The message comprising metadata about the specific product or service. The second step is for the electronic device to send the auto-populated message to a message gateway thus initiating the communication between the electronic device and a product or service. The message gateway works with a management service and one or more databases to send content back to the electronic device or to facilitate and convert messages between the electronic device and a second electronic device, the second electronic device associated with a product or service.

A decentralized offer management system is described. An appliance may be capable of storing and managing offers related to the appliance without communication with a central server. The appliance may receive and store offer attributes related to offers received from an offer provider computer. When a user utilizes their user device to communicate with the appliance, the appliance may determine offers related to the stored offer attributes that can be provided to the user. In some cases, the offers may be specific to the appliance or specific to the user. The appliance may send an offer to the user device, where the offer may indicate that the user is to perform certain actions to qualify to redeem the offer. The appliance may verify that the user has performed such actions before enabling the offer to be redeemed.

In an approach to providing push notifications to a computing device, one or more computer processors detect a first computing device. The one or more computer processors determine whether one or more additional computing devices are detected within a pre-defined proximity threshold of the first computing device. In response to determining one or more additional computing devices are detected within a pre-defined proximity threshold of the first computing device, the one or more computer processors retrieve data from the one or more additional computing devices. The one or more computer processors determine, based, at least in part, on the retrieved data from the one or more additional computing devices, a notification. In the method, multiple neighboring beacons located around a reference beacon installed in a membership store are searched for based on the location of the reference beacon, a target route corresponding to the membership store is acquired, whether an expanded range-based advertisement can be provided using a target beacon corresponding to the target route is checked, and an advertisement for the membership store may be provided when it is determined that the expanded range-based advertisement can be provided using the target beacon. Therefore, the advertisement based on an expanded area may be provided using not only a beacon installed in a specific membership store for advertisement but also beacons installed in other affiliate stores that have joined as members.

A method and system for customizing a mobile application running on a mobile communication device of a user. In one implementation, the method includes providing the mobile application to the mobile communication device of the user, the mobile application having a generic platform; determining a special interest group (SIG) that is affiliated with the user; and customizing the generic platform of the mobile application based on information specific to the special interest group (SIG) that is affiliated with the user.
