Location-triggered notification system
A method for facilitating location-based notification display by an application at a mobile device includes, while the application is in a launched state, receiving from the mobile device a location of the mobile device, determining one or more entity locations based on the location of the mobile device, and causing the mobile device to register the one or more entity locations. The method also includes, while the application is in a background state, causing the mobile device to register one or more location-triggered notifications, wherein each location-triggered notification of the one or more location-triggered notifications is associated with a corresponding entity location of the one or more entity locations.
Ad management using ads cached on a mobile electronic device
A mobile communication device that replenishes and manages ads to display on an active application. The mobile communication device comprises a radio transceiver, a processor, a memory, a plurality of applications, stored in the memory, wherein each application comprises an ad client, and an ad manager, stored in the memory. The ad manager, when executed by the processor, requests a plurality of ads from an ad gateway associated with the network associated with the mobile communication device. The ad manager then receives a plurality of ads from the ad gateway. The ad manager then stores these ads into an ad cache, embedded within the memory of the mobile communication device. The ad manager receives a request from an ad client of one of the applications for an ad to display. The ad manager sends an ad selected from the ad cache to the ad client in the active application.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PLAYING MEDIA CONTENT IN TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK
A method of playing media content in a telecommunication network is disclosed. The method involves uploading media content on a server (100) by a caller device (400). The method further includes selecting at least one callee device (500) from a contact list of the device (400) via a predefined application (300). Further, the method includes forwarding the content from the server to a selected callee device (500). The method is followed by outputting the content by the application (300) on the selected device (500). The content is selected by the device (400), and the content is output at least one of when the selected device (500) is receiving a call from the device (400) or the selected device (500) is commencing the call to the device (400), the content being played on the selected device (500) by capturing ring signal via a ring signal capturing module (250).
BEACON HAVING MULTIPLE COMMUNICATION INTERFACES
A communication beacon including a calculation unit associated with a memory unit for data backup and with a clock circuit and a communication circuit, the beacon being supplied with power by a power supply unit. The communication circuit includes a first interface unit using a first protocol, at least one second interface unit using a second protocol, and an antenna connected to each of the interface units.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING INTERACTIVE CONTENT
Ways to provide interactive media content are described. Interactive displays (110) may include a sensing element (130) that is able to sense user movements in order to collect motion data. Such collected data may be used by the display (110) or a server (160) to identify gestures. Such gestures may be used to control the presentation of the media content. A first display (110) may receive a gesture command and send a message to a server (160) based on the received command. The server may, in turn, select updated content based on the message. The server may send the updated content and/or associated information to the first display (110) and/or other displays associated with the first display. The updated content may be used by each display until some termination criteria is met, at which point the displays may revert to the original content.
Systems and methods for automated mass media commerce
Systems and methods for implementing point of advertising purchasing include using mass media publications configured for or containing service, product or vendor transmittable signals, such as from radio frequency identification tags. In a preferred arrangement, a consumer perceiving an advertisement of the mass media publication may activate a reader in a portable communications device, such as a smart mobile or cellular phone, to receive information from the radio frequency signal associated with the advertisement to identify a vendor, product or service associated with the radio frequency identification. The smart mobile phone or communications device of the consumer may communicate with a system of a vendor or vendors by way of a commerce data organization system across a network to order a product or product information from a system of the vendor over the network by using the information from the radio frequency identification.
POP DISPLAYS AND WIRELESS BEACON BASED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSMITTING CONTENT TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. The wireless signals may be received by mobile devices. A wireless network gateway may also receive the wireless signals. A remote server may communicate with the mobile device and/or the wireless network gateway where the remote server includes a database with up-to-date content associated with the POP displays.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR BROADCASTING TARGETED ADVERTISEMENTS TO MOBILE DEVICE
The disclosed embodiments illustrate methods and systems for identifying a targeted content item for a user. The method includes receiving one or more encrypted first attributes of the user, and a first key. Thereafter, one or more content items are encrypted using the first key. The one or more content items are stored in a data structure such that the one or more content items are indexed in the data structure according to one or more second attributes of the one or more content items. Thereafter, at least one encrypted content item is retrieved from the data structure based on the one or more encrypted content items, the indexing of the one or more content items, and the one or more encrypted first attributes. The at least one encrypted content item is decrypted to generate the targeted content item.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECEIVING TARGETED CONTENT
A method and a system for receiving targeted content are disclosed. In an embodiment, in a mobile device at least a first metadata corresponding to a first content displayed on a digital signage board is received, based on a predetermined action performed by the mobile device. The first metadata comprises at least a location of the digital signage board. A second metadata corresponding to one or more product categories associated with one or more products in vicinity of the digital signage board is determined, based on the location of the digital signage board. One or more user preferences are determined based on the first metadata and the second metadata. The targeted content is received on the mobile device based on the one or more user preferences.
Formatting Electronic Promotional Material for Mobile Devices
A computer-implemented method of processing content at a mobile communications device may include transmitting from a mobile communication device to a first content provider a request for content, the request for content including at least one of a search query and a request for a specific network-accessible element; receiving in response to the request, responsive content and a substitute electronic promotional item from the first content provider; and transmitting a response to the received substitute electronic promotional item. The first content provider may, in response to the request (a) obtain from a second content provider content that is responsive to the request and an electronic promotional item; (b) identify the electronic promotional item; and (c) replace the identified electronic promotional item with the substitute electronic promotional item.
