The invention relates to a method and system for booking reservations in a booking system and synchronizing bookings among several booking systems. The system comprises at least one booking system; at least one service provider; a mediator service; a client, and at least one client terminal device that can be a mobile device and that includes a dialogue. The client uses the dialogue to enter information into the system and the mediator receives inquiries and answers from the at least one booking system, the at least one service provider, and the at least one client. The mediator transfers and adapts information between them. The method and system are particularly suited for use with mobile phone users by Small Message Service messages.

In general, the present invention is directed to systems and methods of utilizing an application operating on a mobile device to determine any applicable offers or eligibility and rank such offers and eligibility for user selection. More specifically, a process may be conducted by a processor in communication with a mobile device and data stores including user data, retailer data, and/or product and service data, the process including comparing identification information associated with a product or service received from the mobile device with data in the data stores; determining the product or service and identifying any associated promotional offers or plan eligibility associated with the product or service, the user, and/or the retailer; ranking any promotional offers or plan eligibility based at least in part on size of promotion; transmitting to the mobile device an identifier of applicable promotional offers or plan eligibility.

A system and method are disclosed permitting the reservation of a publically accessible stationary location, such as a parking spot along a public highway, a parking lot, or a parking ramp. In some aspects, selection of mobile unit types, media messages to be presented, and/or the times that the stationary location is to be occupied by a reserving mobile unit is permitted. The system may also determine a value assigned to the locations or other of the above-mentioned characteristics. A system and method are provided for indicating an existence of a link to information pertaining to an article of commerce. The present disclosure provides for downloading a look-up table from a server database to a mobile device via a communication network. The look-up table is configured to store a plurality of UPC numbers associated with a plurality of articles of commerce and a plurality of information link indicators. Each information link indicator is associated with a respective UPC number and article of commerce and indicates the existence of a link via the communication network to information pertaining to the respective article of commerce. The mobile device allows a consumer to immediately determine if product information is available for a particular article of commerce, via a visual or audible indication on the mobile device.

A method includes receiving from a mobile device context data derived from one or more sensors, determining the occurrence of a trigger based, at least in part, upon the received context data, utilizing the context data and at least one purchase datum to determine a reward and transmitting the reward to the mobile device.

An information providing apparatus includes: a communication interface configured to communicate with a terminal apparatus; and a controller configured to: select either one of a food-serving facility and an accommodation facility as a facility to be recommended to a user, according to an arrival time slot in which the user is to arrive at a destination; refer to, when selecting a food-serving facility, first profile data indicating preference of the user for food to select at least one of a plurality of food-serving facility candidates; refer to, when selecting an accommodation facility, second profile data indicating preference of the user for accommodation services to select at least one of a plurality of accommodation facility candidates; and transmit, regardless of which of a food-serving facility and an accommodation facility has been selected, facility data indicating a selected candidate, to the terminal apparatus via the communication interface.

In some embodiments, a system includes: a first display device configured to display first electronic advertising content; and a second display device configured to display second electronic advertising content, wherein the first display device and the second display device are adjustably positioned in an arrangement relative to one another to display an advertising message, wherein the advertising message is comprised of the first electronic advertising content and the second electronic advertising content, and wherein the first display device and the second display device are mobile devices.

A terminal apparatus having a function of remotely controlling a video display apparatus includes a communication unit that transmits a command related to setting of the video display apparatus and receives status information, a signal receiving unit that receives a signal output from a broadcast station and decodes a video content, a memory unit that stores a content of a command including a channel of the video content, and a display unit that displays the video content and various types of information. In this terminal apparatus, the communication unit transmits an identification code specific to the terminal apparatus when transmitting the command, and when the status information is received after a channel of the video display apparatus is set by remote control, the video content of the channel stored in the memory unit is decoded by the signal receiving unit and is displayed on the display unit.

Selecting a subset of the affection-demonstrating digital images, including augmented reality (AR) images, from spectators located within the electronically geofenced perimeter of the spectator event as candidates for entry into a voting stage of the contest.
