Techniques are disclosed utilizing cognitive computing to improve commercial communications from vendors to users. A user's financial account(s) and location may be monitored to determine when a user is within a threshold distance of a vendor. If the user is within the threshold distance the methods and systems disclosed may determine which targeted commercial communications to transmit to the user based upon a shopping profile for the user. The shopping profile may include a dataset indicative of the shopping habits of the user.

Methods, systems and media for presenting media content that was advertised on a second screen device using a primary screen device are provided. In some implementations, a method for advertising media content to a user is provided, the method comprising: receiving an advertisement request from a computing device; receiving association information indicating that the computing device is associated with a media presentation device; receiving user account information associated with the user account; in response to the advertisement request, selecting an advertisement for media content based at least in part on the association information and the user account information; determining whether an indicator of subscription status of the user account to a service is to be presented in connection with the selected advertisement; causing the advertisement to be presented by computing device, wherein the advertisement is associated with instructions that, in response to interaction with the advertisement, cause the computing device to instruct the media presentation device to present the media content and the indicator of subscription status; receiving input indicating that the indicator of subscription status has been selected; causing an application associated with the service to be transmitted to the computing device; and updating the subscription status of the user account in connection with the service.

A graphical user interface (GUI) for a sponsor portal system includes a first display area that persistently displays a list of a plurality of tabs and a second display area. When the GUI is executed by a computing device of a sponsor of the plurality of sponsors, the second display area is dynamically updatable to display a scrollable list of customers of the sponsor, a list of vendors approved by the sponsor, and a list of active offers. In response to selection of an active offer, the GUI is configured to display a draft offer message and an approval control. In response to selection of the approval control, the sponsor engine is configured to transmit an interactive graphic to mobile computing devices, the interactive graphic configured to communicate information to the mobile computing devices for display on a screen of limited size.

Method and system consist of a mobile application installed on a mobile device with internet connection and a geographical positioning device; a remote hosting server configured with software and database; an onsite wireless communication hosting apparatus. The mobile application communicates with the remote hosting server and the onsite wireless communication apparatus. The remote hosting server and onsite wireless communication apparatus communicate and transfer data to one another, the remote hosting server communicates with third party databases via secured access and retrieves location related information requested by onsite users of the mobile device. Web users at anywhere may select a location displayed on a digital map over interface of a web application configured to the remote hosting server; access the same as onsite users; including data entered by location owners, received from third-party databases via secured connection, and uploaded from onsite wireless communication apparatus.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes determining, by a processing system including a processor, that a viewer is viewing primary content for a first time; capturing, by the processing system, an emotive response of the viewer as the primary content is viewed during the first time; determining that the viewer is viewing the primary content at a subsequent time, wherein the subsequent time is later than the first time; detecting the emotive response of the viewer as the primary content is viewed during the subsequent time; retrieving external media responsive to detecting the emotive response; and displaying the external media. A variation of a method for serving interactive content includes: inserting a parent card into a visual element; inserting a set of child cards over the parent card in the visual element, each child card including advertising content related to the parent card; in response to a swipe over the visual element following insertion of the visual element into a document rendered on a display, indexing through the set of child cards rendered over the parent card; in response to selection of a child card, triggering the computing device to open an expanded window over the document; rendering expanded variants of child cards within the expanded window; in response to a swipe over the expanded window, indexing through expanded variants of the set of child cards rendered; and, in response to selection of an expanded variant of a particular child card, triggering the computing device to navigate to an external document associated with the particular child card.

Disclosed is a technique for passively monitoring the number of guests in a rental property. Mobile device broadcasts intended for connecting the device to a wireless network contain information about that device. This information includes unique identifiers such as MAC addresses. Detecting these broadcasts and filtering out those devices that are expected enables a property owner to have a semi-accurate number of guests within their property without actually being at the property, or visibly observing the guests in an obtrusive fashion. Guests are able to enjoy themselves in privacy and the property owner is able to monitor the safety of their property.

A mobile advertisement system mounted on a back window of a vehicle using suction cups is presented according to aspects of present disclosure. In certain embodiments, the mobile advertisement system connects wirelessly to a mobile advertisement server, sends its GPS location updates periodically to mobile advertisement server, receives advertisements and delivery instructions from mobile advertisement server in response to the GPS location updates sent, displays advertisements on the display screen of the mobile advertisement system according to the corresponding delivery instructions when at least one automobile is detected, and transmits delivery confirmations to mobile advertisement server after each advertisement is displayed according to the corresponding delivery instructions. A video camera detects whether there are any automobile behind, and mobile advertisement system will not display advertisements when there is no automobile behind. brightness of advertisement display is in directly proportional to light intensity outside detected by a light sensor.

This disclosure provides methods, services, and platforms that automatically prompt mobile phone users to add contact information to their phone book after a triggering event such as calling a phone number. The methods, services, and platforms allow mobile network operators to provide a service that allows businesses to potentially have their numbers added to the phonebook of a mobile phone after a disconnected call.
