TECHNIQUES FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION OF PROXIMITY BASED CONTENT
A system and method for communication of proximity based content is disclosed between a mobile computing device having a Short Range Communication (SRC) device and a Proximity Short Range Communication (PSRC) device associated with a location or object using near field magnetic induction. The SRC device and/or the PSRC device can include at least two antennas to provide magnetic induction diversity. The method comprises defining a proximity boundary with dimensions defined by a magnetic induction diversity communication range of at least one of the SRC and PSRC devices. A proximity signal is communicated in the proximity boundary between the SRC device and the PSRC device. At least one action is performed by the mobile computing device or the PSRC device when the proximity signal is detected between the SRC device and the PSRC device.
Prescient and adaptive point-of-sale systems
Systems, apparatus, methods, and non-transitory media for providing prescient and adaptive point-of-sale services via electronic networks are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a system with one or more servers. The one or more servers may be configured to generate digital consumer tokens and provide the digital consumer tokens to consumer devices for sharing with merchant devices. When a merchant device receives the digital consumer token, the merchant device may forward the digital consumer token to the one or more servers in exchange for consumer data to facilitate consumer service. In some embodiments, the one or more servers may be configured to provide point-of-sale interfaces that adapt to different consumer preferences or consumer device signals. Some embodiments may provide for consumer interfaces that allow consumers to manage their electronic identity at various (e.g., merchant) locations.
Electronic Shelf-Tag Systems and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are electronic shelf-tag systems and methods thereof. For example, an electronic shelf-tag system includes, in some embodiments a fascia configured to mount to a shelf of a shelving unit and a light-emitting diode (LED) array coupled to the fascia. The LED array is configured to display product information in a shared electronic shelf tag for two or more products respectively stocked in two or more consecutive shelf slots when a horizontal resolution of a portion of the LED array corresponding to at least one shelf slot of the two or more consecutive shelf slots is insufficient for displaying the product information for the product stocked in the at least one shelf slot.
SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING SECURE MOBILE PAYMENT AND NON-PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS WITH INTEGRATED LOYALTY, REWARDS AND PROMOTIONS
According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a system for performing secure mobile payment and non-payment transactions with integrated loyalty, rewards, and promotions. A mobile backend server (MBE) stores and maintains payment and non-payment account information for users, and presents a list of available payment and non-payment instruments to the user prior to the user's interaction with a merchant for shopping, item selection, or checkout. In response to detecting an interaction between the user and a merchant for shopping, item selection, or checkout, the MBE determines incentives that are available to the user, presents the available incentives to the user for selection prior to completion of a payment or non-payment transaction with the merchant, and determines which of the available incentives and payment instruments are selected by the user. The incentives and/or transaction amounts presented to the user are dynamically updated based on the user selection.
NFC mobile device transactions with a digital artifact
A method and system for receiving digital artifacts from a management server. The method includes sending a request for a digital artifact from a mobile application to the management server for display within a specific mobile application generated screen, receiving the digital artifact from the management server, and displaying the digital artifact with the specific mobile application generated screen.
Facilitating Consumer Payments And Redemptions Of Deal Offers
Provided herein are systems, methods and computer readable storage media for facilitating payments for consumer transactions and redemption of deal offerings. In providing such functionality, the system can be configured to, for example, receive payment for one or more products, determine a deal voucher's current value and cause the redemption of the deal voucher.
System and Method for Recipe Identification and Classification
This document presents a system and method for authors or consumers to obtain the same unique, universal classification identifier for every one of the thousands of recipes for the same dish. In this fashion, every one of thousands of chicken parmigiana recipes may have the same unique, universal classification identifier. The data for each of the hundreds or thousands of recipes for a particular dish could be aggregated under the single recipe classification. A consumer may present a recipe containing the universal classification identifier to capture recipe data at a retail establishment. This data could then be scanned at a Point-of-Sale terminal and reported to the retail establishment or other client to inform decisions regarding marketing, advertising, production strategies, and other outreach to consumers.
COMMUNICATING PAYMENTS
For communicating payments, a mobile device reads a point-of-sale code from a point-of-sale device. The mobile device uploads the point-of-sale code to the clearing house. The clearing house downloads a purchase menu to the mobile device. The clearing house generates a payment authorization comprising an authorization code and a transaction amount. The clearing house determine whether the point-of-sale device is in communication with the clearing house. In response to the point-of-sale device being in communication with the clearing house, the clearing house communicates the payment authorization to the point-of-sale device at a device address determined from the point-of-sale code. In response to the point-of-sale device not being in communication with the clearing house, the clearing house communicates the payment authorization through the mobile device to the point-of-sale device. The point-of-sale device completes a transaction for the transaction amount at the point-of-sale device.
IMAGE CAPTURE AND IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND PROCESS
An image-based transaction system includes a mobile device with an image sensor that is programmed to capture, via the image sensor, a video stream of a scene. The mobile device identifies a document using image characteristics from the video stream and acquires an image of at least a part of the document, and then identifies symbols in the image based on locations within the image of the document. The symbols can include alphanumeric symbols. The mobile device processes the symbols according to their type to obtain an address related to the document and the symbols and initiates a transaction associated with the identified document.
IMAGE CAPTURE AND IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM AND PROCESS
A computing platform that analyzes a captured video stream to identify a document depicted in the video stream, validates identification information corresponding to the document to display an information address associated with the document, and that initiates a transaction based on the validation of the identification information associated with the document.
