NEAR-FIELD COMMUNICATION (NFC)-BASED RETAIL EXPERIENCE USING A RETAIL KIOSK OR MOBILE DEVICE
A customer is provided with a personalized retail experience using a retail kiosk or mobile device that is enabled for near-field communication (NFC). The kiosk is provided with customer identifying information through an NFC-based communication with a customer's user device. The kiosk authenticates the customer based on the identifying information, retrieves retail information associated with the customer from a back-end server, and provides the personalized retail experience using the retrieved information. In one example, the personalized retail experience is provided based on customer-input received through an NFC reader of the kiosk. Also, the mobile device can be provided with a retail store identifier through an NFC-based communication link with an NFC tag for the store. The personalized retail experience can then be provided through the mobile device based on retail information for the retail store that is retrieved by the mobile device based on the identifier obtained through NFC.
Image Capture and Identification System and Process
A digital image of the object is captured and the object is recognized from plurality of objects in a database. An information address corresponding to the object is then used to access information and initiate communication pertinent to the object.
Induction based transaction using a management server
A method and system for conducting an online payment transaction through a point of sale device. The method includes receiving input from a user selecting an item for purchase through the point of sale device; calculating a total purchase amount for the item in response to a request from the user to purchase the item; and sending payment authorization for the total purchase amount from the point of sale device to a payment entity, in which the payment authorization is sent to the payment entity via a mobile communication device of the user. The method further includes receiving a result of the payment authorization from the payment entity through the mobile communication device; and completing the payment transaction based on the result of the payment authorization.
Interactive point of purchase display for toys
Techniques are provided for an interactive point of purchase product display. The interactive point of purchase product display includes a product placement region, one or more products located in the product placement region, an input device configured to receive an input signal, a controller device, and a selection indicator device. The input device may receive data about a potential consumer or customer. The controller device is coupled to the input device and the one or more products and is configured to receive data from the input device responsive to the input signal, select a product in response to the receive input and generate a selection signal identifying the product resulting in the attention of a customer to be drawn to the product.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO INCREASE INVENTORY REDUCTION
Various embodiments herein include systems, methods, and software to increase inventory reduction for many purposes. One method embodiment includes retrieving, by a Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal, promotion data during an open checkout transaction. The retrieved promotional data typically includes a promotion detail portion and a promotion rule. The method further presents a view of at least the promotion detail portion of the retrieved promotional data, either via a display of a teller or a customer facing display. This method may further apply the promotion rule to the transaction when one or more specific items presented for purchase are implicated by the promotion rule.
Delivering promotions associated with user profiles through multiple digital channels associated with the user profiles
Multiple copies of the same coupon are delivered to a consumer simultaneously via different delivery channels. After one copy of the coupon has been presented in connection with a transaction and used, the coupon is marked as used with respect to all delivery channels for that consumer. Different copies of the coupon can have different coupon identifiers, for example when delivered through different channels. Consumers also can access such multichannel coupons without having to login each time they wish to access their coupons from multiple channels. In one implementation, each consumer has a user profile. A promotion is associated with that consumer's user profile. Each user profile also is associated with different channel identifiers representing communication channels to deliver instances of the promotion to the consumer. Each delivered instance of the promotion includes a coupon identifier associated with the promotion.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF LARGE SCALE VIDEO DISPLAY
In embodiments of the present invention, improved capabilities are described for displaying and managing dynamic, multi-media, video content presentation on an architectural scale. Methods and systems described include associating a video display with an advertising marketplace and leasing rights to a video display. A plurality of physical panel, rod, curtain, blade, and fin video display arrays are described, as are methods and systems for managing and editing video for display and powering a video display that is associated with an architectural feature.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING OFFERS USING A MOBILE DEVICE
A wireless device is enabled to provide offers. The wireless device receives card data for a financial account card and stores the card data in a memory associated with the wireless device. Responsive to using the card data in a transaction at a first merchant location, the wireless device receives transaction line-item data from a computing system associated with the first merchant location. The wireless device determines merchant information for a second merchant location and determines an offer associated with the second merchant location based on the line-item data and the merchant information for the second merchant. The wireless device presents the offer when the wireless device is near the second merchant location.
E-CHECK DEVICE, SYSTEM AND A METHOD THEREOF
Discussed herein is an electronic device, electronic system and a method of use and applications thereof. The electronic device provides a mechanism of making payment transactions in a seamless manner. Further, the electronic device avoids delays in processing payment transactions, which otherwise may cause an unpleasant experience. The electronic system provides for integration with frequent diner accounts, ability to monitor different transactions in real-time and provides an enhanced dining experience thereby increasing the overall productivity of the system,
Determining item recommendations from merchant data
A service provider may receive transaction information from a plurality of merchant devices for a plurality of point of sale (POS) transactions conducted between buyers and merchants. The service provider associates the transaction information with respective buyer profiles. The service provider may subsequently receive an indication of a first item selected by a particular buyer for a current POS transaction being conducted with a particular merchant. The service provider may determine a particular buyer profile to associate with the current transaction. Based at least in part on the particular buyer profile or the other buyer profiles, the service provider may determine a second item that has been purchased frequently together with the first item. The service provider sends a communication to the particular merchant to indicate that the particular merchant may wish to offer the second item to the particular buyer for inclusion in the current transaction.
