FACILITATING COMMERCIAL SALES VIA ACCURATE MOBILE DEVICE LOCATION SENSING
Described is facilitating sales of products and services based on the detection of the presence of mobile devices within a defined region corresponding to a point-of-sale location, determined via accurate mobile device location sensing, e.g., within on the order of one meter. Upon detection of the presence of a mobile device within a defined point-of-sale region via mobile device millimeter wave-based position sensing, one or more actions to facilitate a sale can be taken. This can include sending targeted advertising to the mobile device to incentivize the sale, with the targeted advertising based on user profile data when available. Another action can be to summon personnel to the sensed location to facilitate a sale. Movement determined by change of location and other data can be evaluated to determine whether a person (via his or her mobile device) is remaining in a defined point-of-sale region or is only passing through.
Blaze non-browser based advertisements
A method and system for receiving digital artifacts from a management server. The method includes sending a request for a digital artifact from a mobile application to the management server fir display within a specific mobile application generated screen, receiving the digital artifact from the management server, and displaying the digital artifact with the specific mobile application generated screen.
Analyzing movement of data collectors/gateways associated with retail displays
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. The wireless signals may be received by mobile devices. A remote server may communicate with the mobile device and provide the mobile device with up-to-date content associated with the POP displays. Wireless data collection devices (such as network gateways) may be used to receive data packets from the wireless beacons provide the data packets to the remote server. Accelerometers may be used on the wireless data collection devices to assess movement of the devices. Movement data for the devices may be used to determine reprogramming of the devices after the devices are moved.
Digital menu board with cash register and kitchen interface
A product management and sales system for managing product preparation and sales. The system includes a kitchen display and input device displaying a plurality of perishable food items to be produced and receiving a production indication signal indicating production of at least one of the plurality of perishable food items. The system further includes a digital menu board displaying the plurality of perishable food items available for sale, a sales counter terminal for completing a sale of at least one of the plurality of perishable food items and outputting a sold indication signal; and a controller receiving the sold indication signal. The controller compares the sold indication signal to a predetermined inventory level for the at least one perishable food item and outputs an item-to-be-produced signal to the kitchen display and input.
DISPLAY PANELS OF POINT OF SALE SYSTEMS
In an example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a method may include determining a transactional state of a point of sale (POS) system and, upon determining the transactional state, when the POS system is not in transactional use, automatically switching a display panel of the POS system from a first position to a second position. As an example, while in the second position, the POS system displays an advertisement on the display panel.
System and method for triggering an event in response to a point-of-sale transaction
A method of triggering an event based on occurrence of a POS transaction is provided in which an event processing server receives from a first user device associated with a first account, a first event triggering request. The request includes identification of a desired event to be triggered and first triggering criteria. The desired event is to be initiated by the event processing server upon occurrence of one or more POS transactions collectively meeting the first triggering criteria. The event processing server receives, from a transaction processing server, notification of an occurrence of a merchant POS transaction associated with the first account. The event processing server determines whether the occurrence of the merchant POS transaction results in the first triggering criteria having been met, and, if so initiates the desired event.
System and method of saving deal offers to be applied at a point-of-sale (POS) of a retail store
A system and method of saving deal offers to be applied at a point-of-sale (POS) of a retail store may include receiving, by a mobile device via a communications network, multiple advertisements inclusive of selectable deal offers of products being sold at the retail store for a user to select. Responsive to a user selecting to view an advertisement of a product on the mobile device, the deal offer of the product to be presented to the POS to be applied to a cost of the product may be automatically stored. Responsive to a check out request at the mobile device, data inclusive of the deal offer to be presented to the POS to apply the deal offer to the cost of the product to which the deal offer is associated may be generated.
BATTERY UTILIZATION SYSTEM, STORING DEVICE, BATTERY UTILIZATION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A battery utilization system includes a battery removably mounted on an electric power device using electric power and including a memory in which information is stored and a storing device configured to store the battery. The storing device includes an acquirer configured to acquire update information including control information for controlling the battery and a controller configured to cause the memory of the stored battery to store the update information acquired by the acquirer.
Local data acquisition for retail displays with wireless beacons
Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. The wireless signals may be received by mobile devices. A remote server may communicate with the mobile device and provide the mobile device with up-to-date content associated with the POP displays. A wireless data collection device may be used to receive and collect data from the wireless beacons. The collected data may be used to assess one or more properties of the POP displays.
System and method for retail customer tracking in surveillance camera network
A retail customer tracking system and method is disclosed. The retail system preferably includes at least one surveillance camera for generating image data of customer interactions with products and at least one point of sale camera for generating image data of customers at a point of sale area. An analytics system determines product interactions from the image data of the customer interactions with the products and stores facial image information and the product interactions for each of the customers. When a customer arrives at a point of sale area, facial image information of the customer determined from the image data of the point of sale camera is matched to previously stored facial information for the customer, and associated product interactions for the customer are provided to a management system. The management system then provides sale cues based on the product interactions to the customer at the point of sale area.
