Customizing resources utilizing pre-fetched profile information for future visitors
Methods described herein include prefetching information for a future visitor to a webpage or other resource. Prefetching the information can allow a provider to customize the webpage or resource with reduced latency. The methods can include notifying an experience provider associated with an advertisement prior to the user requesting the webpage or other resource. The notification can provide identification information corresponding to the client device or user. The notification also indicates that the client device or a user is about to be directed to the webpage or other resource. The notification can allow for retrieval of profile information associated with the identification information prior to the direction of the client device to the webpage or other resource.
Point of sale apparatuses, methods and systems
Transformation of inputs including beacon inputs, Global Positioning System (GPS) inputs, captured panorama inputs, user-penned descriptive inputs, and payment-amount-specifying inputs, via components, into outputs including user device POS configuration setting outputs and/or payment-gateway-directed authorization request outputs. Further, transformation of inputs including POS scanner inputs, POS keyboard inputs, and/or POS printer-directed inputs, via components, into outputs including compliance check outputs, tagged omnibus record outputs, SKU-UPC mapping outputs, and/or convergence/correlation outputs. Additionally, transformation of inputs including older limited-capability POS software image inputs and/or newer limited-capability POS software image inputs, via components, into outputs including update directive outputs. Functionality set forth includes allowing user devices to directly communicate with payment gateways, capturing and making use of scanner-obtained data and printer-destined data in a way that does not require code alternation of already-installed POS software, and allowing software of limited-capability POS devices to be updated without sending large, full-overwrite software images.
Conditional automatic social posts
Techniques are described for triggering conditional automated social posts. According to an embodiment, a set of one or more conditions is received through a user interface by a system executing on one or more computing devices. The system monitors one or more social media channels for target content that has been posted on at least one social media channel of the one or more social media channels. In response to detecting, by the system executing on one or more computing devices, that the target content has been posted on at least one social media channel of the one or more social media channels, the system determines whether the set of one or more conditions are satisfied. In response to determining that the set of one or more conditions are satisfied, the system triggers an action responsive to the target content.
ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
An assistance device includes: an object information acquirer that acquires information regarding an object installed in a living space, in which the object is to be reformed, repaired, or produced; a detection information acquirer that acquires a history of detection information detected in the past by a sensor installed in the living space; and a candidate presentation unit that generates and presents a candidate for a method for renovating, repairing, or producing the object, based on information regarding the object acquired by the object information acquirer and a history of the detection information acquired by the detection information acquirer.
PROCESSING SYSTEM, PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides a processing system (10) including an acquisition unit (11) that acquires, from each of a plurality of terminal apparatuses, first identification information for identifying the terminal apparatus or a facility where the terminal apparatus is placed, and biological information of a customer input to the terminal apparatus, an authentication unit (12) that performs customer authentication, based on the biological information of the customer, a history registration unit (13) that, when customer authentication is successful, registers, in visit history information of the customer, a facility determined by the first identification information, and a provided information generation unit (14) that generates, based on the visit history information and attribute information of the facility, provided information to be provided to the customer.
PROVIDING GIFT SUGGESTIONS BASED ON PERSONALITY TRAIT INFORMATION
An apparatus for identifying a gift based on personality traits includes a user profile database with a plurality of user profiles. Each user profile includes user data correlated with personality trait information. The apparatus includes a product database with product entries of products. Each product entry includes personality trait information correlated to the product. The apparatus includes a gift request interface configured to receive from a first user a request to recommend a gift to a second user. The second user has a user profile in the user profile database. The apparatus includes a product correlation engine configured to correlate products from the product database with the second user based on the personality trait information of the user profile of the second user, and a gift presentation interface configured to display to the first user the one or more products from the product database correlated to the second user.
Adaptive video content display using EAS pedestals or similar structure
Adaptive system for communicating with a customer in a retail store environment includes a sensor disposed at a sensor location in a retail environment. The sensor location is selected so that the sensor captures information that facilitates identification of at least one trait associated with a customer located proximate to the sensor location. A processing system is configured to use the information to determine the at least one trait. Thereafter, in response to such determination, the processing system selectively determines a message or content selection to be displayed to the customer based at least in part on the at least one trait that has been identified.
System, method and apparatus for location based delivery of determined pertinent data
A system, method and apparatus for detecting the presence of a portable computing device (a smart phone device) in an area of proximity to a vendor to determine relevant pertinent information. A beacon device at a retail location establishes communication with a user's smart phone device which detection is then send to a remotely located server. The remotely located server determines if the detected portable computing device is associated with a predefined category of user. Contingent upon the category of user determination, a determination is made regarding information pertinent to the user. The pertinent information is then caused to be sent to the user's smart phone device.
Apparatus and methods for causing privacy-sensitive direction of advertising messages based on prevalence of a healthcare condition in a plurality of geographic areas
A computer system and method causes selection of an advertisement based on the prevalence of a healthcare condition in each of a plurality of geographic areas. The prevalence is calculated by an entity that matches healthcare data with consumer data to determine, in each of the geographic areas, how many individuals have an unidentified healthcare condition. The entity removes information pertaining to specific geographic areas and healthcare condition codes that would permit re-identification of persons coded with those specific codes, so that the privacy of the personal healthcare information is maintained.
Predictive preference selection for in-vehicle entertainment systems
Devices, systems and methods for providing customized entertainment or productivity options to passengers on commercial passenger vehicles are disclosed. An exemplary method implemented by a computer on a commercial passenger vehicle includes receiving and storing from a server system communication on a memory and a display screen of a portable device of a passenger, prior to a start of a current travel segment of the commercial passenger vehicle, data for predictive preference selection during the current travel segment; determining, during the current travel segment, for the passenger, a personalized display menu of the passenger for one or more items or services from a plurality of items and services; and providing, during the travel segment, an interactive session having the personalized display menu based on the traveler profile and displayed on the display screen for the passenger on the portable device based on the determining.
