Among other things, videos and commercials are downloaded to a mobile device for storage on the mobile device and later playout on the mobile device. The downloading includes downloading of metadata associated with the commercials and based on which the mobile device can select commercials for insertion into videos being played back to the user of the mobile device. The commercials to be downloaded are selected based on one or a combination of any two or more of the location of the user, the type of mobile device, and personally-identifiable information about a user of the mobile device.

A first linking factor is identified based on a connection between a first device and the computer network via a first IP address during a first time period, and based on a connection between a second device and the computer network via the first IP address during the first time period. A number of devices that connect with the computer network via the first IP address is determined. A positive match probability is generated. A second and third linking factors are monitored. A negative match probability is determined based on the second and third linking factors. The first device is linked with the second device based on the positive and negative match probabilities.

A calibration module produces measurements determined from collision quantities and/or fragmentation quantities using the first mapping function, wherein the measurements are determined by comparing the plurality of identification codes to entries in a known ID database. A sequencing module generates updated sequences of mapping functions.

The parameter optimizer receives the stored records and data and determines a potential impact of the suggested additional parameters on sales of the item. In an embodiment, a visualization of the impact of the set of the parameters is presented on an offer definition interface. In an embodiment, the suggested additional parameters are automatically sent to the offer provider based in part on previous offer data associated with the offer provider.

When the mobile device scans the QR code prior to installation of the software application, the mobile device is directed to the URL and the application store website ignores the connect code parameter. When the mobile device scans the QR code after installation of the software application, the software application prevents redirecting the mobile device to the application store website and instead authenticates using the connect code.
