Systems and methods for providing a first user with recommendations of media assets for inclusion in a playlist for a second user based on the second user's viewing activity. These systems and methods receive, from the second user, an expression of disinterest in a media asset included in the playlist for the second user, update a user profile associated with the second user based on the expression of disinterest, and determine a recommendation for another media asset based on the updated user profile associated with the second user. The systems and methods provide the recommendation to the first user. By recommending media assets that the second user is least likely to object to, these systems and methods reduce the frequency of disruptive requests for media assets from the second user.

A server, method, and computer program product for implementing electronically generated promotion deployment is provided. Package shipments being shipped from a client to at least one recipient recipient are detected. A promotional placement request associated with promotions with respect to attributes of the at least one recipient is received within a data structure. Promotional attributes from the client with the at least one recipient are cross referenced with respect to the received promotional placement request. At least one visible promotional structure associated with the promotional attributes is electronically generated. The at least one visible promotional structure is deployed during a real time delivery process of at least one package to the at least one recipient.
Data and user interaction based on device proximity
Architecture that enables the detection of a user by a user device and interaction with content of the user device by the user before the user physically contacts the device. The detection capability can utilize one or more sensors of the device to identify the user and the proximity (distance) of the user to the device. Based on the user identity and the proximity, the device operates/functions in a certain way. Moreover, ongoing interaction can be enabled by recognition of a natural user interface (NUI) gestures, alone or in combination with other recognition techniques (e.g., speech recognition). Methods, apparatus, and computer program products are disclosed for providing an impression to a consumer based on consumer preferences for future promotions. The methods include accessing consumer preferences for future promotions that specify at least one promotion request relating to a provider or a promotion category, and one or more promotion qualities, analyzing a plurality of promotions to identify those that satisfy the consumer preferences, and providing an impression to the consumer indicating the availability of the identified promotions. In embodiments, the methods can be used to identify promotions that are combinable with additional promotions offered by the same provider. Corresponding apparatus and computer program products are also provided.
Methods and systems for transmitting highlights of sporting events to communication devices
A highlight transmission service allows users of communication devices to view highlights of sporting events while the sporting events are occurring without having to watch the sporting events. For example, a computer-implemented method may comprise: determining that a highlight of a sporting event is to be conveyed to a communication device; and transmitting data regarding the highlight of the sporting event to the communication device over a network during the sporting event in order to allow a user of the communication device to view the highlight of the sporting event.

There are provided systems and methods for a communication device interface for merchant check-in and shopping notifications. A user may enter shopping preferences to a module of a communication device in order to receive notifications and alerts when items matching the shopping preferences are available with one or more merchants. A service provider may receive the shopping preferences with user attributes, such as a user location and/or account balance. The attributes may be determined using applications and/or modules of the communication device or through a check-in by the user at a location. The service provider may determine shopping notifications having purchase offers for the items from available merchants. The purchase offers may include offers to sell the items and discounts for the items. The shopping notifications may be displayed to the user using a user device interface, such as cells within an application or mobile device home screen.

A method including receiving a digital promotion payload from a brand manufacturer for at least one branded consumer packaged good, the digital promotion payload including a digital promotion value associated with the branded consumer packaged good, is provided. The method includes receiving a bid request to the digital promotion engine, providing a bid response to the bid request, the bid response including the digital promotion payload, and receiving, from the supply side platform, a confirmation that the bid response has been selected from one or more bids from different digital advertising entities. The method includes providing a command to the supply side platform to deliver the digital promotion payload to a mobile device accessing a resource from the mobile display publisher, and loading the digital promotion value to a frequent shopper identification in response to a consumer interaction with the digital promotion payload detected from the mobile device.

The topic(s) associated with the group also may be determined based on information associated with the group, with members of the group, and/or with objects associated with the group. The social networking system may then select one or more content items associated with the topic(s) for presentation to the viewing user via a group page.
