Systems and methods for data communication using audio patterns are described. The methods include encoding a message into an audio pattern, mixing the audio pattern with an audio content to obtain a mixed audio content, wherein the audio pattern is inaudible in the mixed audio content, and transmitting the mixed audio content.

A method, apparatus, and system related to relevancy improvement through targeting of information based on data gathered from a networked device associated with a security sandbox of a client device are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system may comprise a networked device, a relevancy-matching server, and a client device. The networked device may be configured to generate a preliminary data and/or a primary data associated with a user and automatically announce a sandbox-reachable service of the networked device to a discovery module. The relevancy-matching server may be configured to match a targeted data with the primary data based on a relevancy factor associated with the user. The client device may be configured to automatically process an identification data of the networked device and/or the sandbox-reachable service of the networked device from the discovery module and to automatically associate with the networked device based on the identification data.
Method of Displaying Product Information
A method of displaying product information is used to display prices, information, and advertisements for in-store products. The method is performed by a system that includes a plurality of electronic retailer devices, at least one remote server, and at least one administrative computing device. The remote server manages a plurality of displayable content files and a plurality of additional feature options. The administrative computing device determines which displayable content files are displayed on individual electronic retailer devices. The administrative device prompts a user to select a desired file from the plurality of content files and select a specific device from the plurality of electronic retailer devices. The desired file is sent from the server to the specific device and is output by the specific device. The method also includes executing additional feature options with the administrative computing device or an arbitrary device from the plurality of electronic retailer devices.
Systems and Techniques for Targeting Electronic Communication Based On Frequency of Product Exposure
Computer-implemented systems and methods disclosed herein disclose features for determining the frequency of exposure to real-world products embedded with Internet-Of-Things (IoT) hardware and determining a comprehensive targeting profile identifying the interests of users based on their exposure to real-world products. A computing device carried by a user wirelessly receives product exposure data from a nearby IoT-enabled device upon entering within a certain proximity of the IoT-enabled device. The computing device further compiles the product exposure data with previous product exposure data for IoT-enabled devices to which the computing device was previously exposed. Based on the compiled product exposure data, a server device determines a frequency of exposure to a product corresponding to the IoT-enabled device over a period of time. The server device further transmits an electronic communication promoting the product corresponding to the IoT-enabled device if the frequency of exposure increases over a threshold value.

A system and method allows a user to define books of pictures and customizable text, and HTML code is generated from such definition to allow the books to be displayed on a browser. Based on the user's book definitions or viewers activities, the individual's interests, moods and/or emotions may be identified and ads may be identified and displayed to such person that correspond to such interests, moods or emotions.
Performing an action on a social networking system based on a content identifier embedded in provided content
A content source provides metadata associated with content, such as an audio signal or video data, to a social networking system. The metadata identifies characteristics of the content or specifies an action for the social networking system to perform. A content identifier associated with the metadata is generated by the social networking system, and an association between the content identifier and the metadata is stored. The content identifier is provided to the content source, which encodes the content identifier into the content (e.g., as a watermark). When a client device receives the content encoded with the content identifier, the content identifier is extracted and communicated to the social networking system in connection with a user account associated with the client device. Based on the content identifier, the social networking system retrieves the corresponding metadata and performs an action in connection with the user account based on the metadata.

System and method for providing relevant user notifications
An apparatus and method are disclosed for providing an advertising system in which a buyer generates a profile containing a list of preferred purchases or vendors. At least some of the buyer's preferred profile entries are associated with a geographic area. A mobile network is used to connect the mobile buyers and the sellers. Both the buyers' profiles and the sellers' advertisements are uploaded to the network. The network matches buyers and sellers by providing to the buyers sales advertisements that match the criteria of the uploaded buyer's profiles but without sharing buyers' unique identifying information with the sellers. The buyer devices optionally include an ad server to filter and manage the buyer's receipt of advertisements. The sellers' offers and promotions also optionally include time-dependent information such that they expire upon the passage of a specified time period.
Method and system for providing electronic marketing communications for a promotion and marketing service
A computer-executable method, a computer system and a non-transitory computer-readable medium are provided for causing electronic marketing communications of one or more promotions to be generated on a mobile computing device associated with a consumer. A method includes programmatically retrieving promotion data indicative of a plurality of promotions from a computer memory. The method includes determining, using processing circuitry, a promotion score for each of the plurality of promotions. Each promotion score is determined based on consumer profile data, stored consumer activity data, and at least one of: current consumer activity data, current local context data, or predicted consumer activity data. The method further includes outputting indications configured to generate electronic marketing communications associated with the plurality of promotions based on the promotion scores of the plurality of promotions.

An apparatus includes a housing, a digital display device, at least one gate coupled to the housing, and an analytical unit comprising a controller, the analytical unit coupled to the digital display device and the controller. The analytical unit includes logic to operate environmental sensors to identify demographic attributes of a proximate person to the digital display device and to locate digital content associated with the demographic attributes and to cause display of the digital content on the digital display device.
