TECHNOLOGIES FOR CONTENT PRESENTATION
In a method a web page hosting a tag script has a first area and a second area smaller than the first area. The first area contains a third area smaller than the first area. The third area is not positioned within the second area when the web page is loaded, and the third area contains a first ad content sourced from a first real-time ad bidding auction. Determining in real time via the tag script (a) whether the first ad content was loaded in the web page for a predefined time period, and (b) based on the other determining whether the third area has been scrolled into the second area as of or after the predefined time period has expired, and requesting a second real-time ad bidding auction for a second ad content to be input into the third area and replace the first ad content.
Exploration in a real time messaging platform
A real-time messaging platform allows advertiser accounts to pay to insert candidate messages into the message streams requested by account holders. To accommodate multiple advertisers, the messaging platform controls an auction process that determines which candidate messages are selected for inclusion in a requested account holder's message stream. Selection is based on a bid for the candidate message, the message stream that is requested, and a variety of other factors that vary depending upon the implementation. The process for selection of candidate messages generally includes the following steps, though any given step may be omitted or combined into another step in a different implementation: targeting, filtering, prediction, ranking, and selection.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING CONTENT METADATA IN ELECTRONIC ADVERTISING
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving a bid request that indicates a television channel associated with a video stream requested by an end user device and that includes ad space information associated with an ad space of the video stream, where the video stream being requested is an Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming service that provides scheduled content. Context information can be accessed according to the television channel and according to a time associated with the ad space, where the context information describes the video stream and is generated by a context server. An auction is performed to obtain bid responses, where the auction provides bidders with context data that is representative of at least a portion of the context information, and where selection of the candidate bid responses enables a determination of a creative for the ad space of the video stream. Other embodiments are disclosed.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR DIGITAL ADVERTISING ECOSYSTEMS IMPLEMENTING CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORKS UTILIZING EDGE COMPUTING
Disclosed herein are systems and techniques for using a content delivery network to perform various functions within a digital advertising ecosystem, in ways that yield technological benefits such as improved security, efficiency, and speed (for example, reduction in publisher load times). As one specific example, a content delivery network can be used for the creation of electronic tokens for user identity protection between demand side platforms, supply side platforms, content creators (for example, advertisers), and publishers.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN INTERACTIVE BIDDING PLATFORM FOR OPPORTUNITIES BASED ON LOCATION
A computer-implemented method that includes presenting an available interaction opportunity based on a geolocation of an interaction platform and receiving proposals from one or more users for the available interaction opportunity at the geolocation. The method includes determining a successful proposal from the proposals received by the one or more users and displaying a stored interaction associated with a profile of a user of the one or more users having the successful proposal at the geolocation and on the interaction platform.
Evaluating presentation of products offered by a publishing user based on content items provided to an online system by other users
A publishing user identifies a product offered by the user to an online system by providing multiple images of various products viewed at different angles to the online system. The online system applies an identification model to content items obtained from other users to identify one or more of the products in various content items. From a number of content items obtained from other users that include products offered by the publishing user, the online system compute trends. The trends may be for a specific product or products having one or more common attributes. The online system transmits information about the trends to the publishing user or to other users. The trends may also be used to rank recommendations for products to a specific user, where the trends from numbers of content items including products are weighted by the specific user's preferences.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR RESOLVING ADVERTISEMENT SPACE CONTENTION
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments for detecting a navigation application operating on a first communication device, and identifying a location of the first communication device. Further embodiments can include obtaining a first advertisement and a second advertisement according to the location of the first communication device as well as determining a first priority associated with the first advertisement and a second priority associated with the second advertisement. Additional embodiments can include determining the first priority is higher than the second priority resulting in a determination to present the first advertisement prior to the second advertisement, and providing the first advertisement, the second advertisement, and the determination to the first communication device. The first communication device presents the first advertisement within navigation content utilizing the navigation application prior to presenting the second advertisement within the navigation content based on the determination. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Systems and methods for targeting bid and position for a keyword
Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for targeting bid and position for a keyword. For instance, the method may include obtaining information about the keyword, the information about the keyword including observations of value with respect to position for the keyword. The method may further include applying a Gaussian Process Model on the observations to obtain a prediction function and associated uncertainties, the prediction function and the associated uncertainties relating positions to expected values; applying a Thompson sampling reinforcement learning model on the expected values and the positions to obtain a target position; and applying a bid model to the target position to obtain bid information for the keyword. The method may also include transmitting a bid message to a search engine, the bid message including the bid information.
Computing a value associated with presenting a content item to a user of an online system based on a detrimental effect of a placement of the content item within a feed of content items
An online system identifies an opportunity to present content to a viewing user and sends candidate content items eligible for presentation to the viewing user for display to a client device associated with the viewing user. The online system computes an estimated value associated with presenting a candidate content item to the viewing user based at least in part on a bid amount associated with the candidate content item and communicates the value to a content-providing user associated with the candidate content item. Based on information received from the client device describing the placement of one or more candidate content items within a feed of content items presented to the viewing user, the online system calculates a detrimental effect of presenting the candidate content item on user engagement with the online system by the viewing user and computes an adjusted value associated with its presentation based on the detrimental effect.
System architecture and methods for online real-time auctions of advertising inventory
System architecture and methods for enabling an online real-time auction (either server-side or client-side) of advertising inventory that works in conjunction with ad serving technologies. In some implementations, the system architecture facilitates multiple parallel requests from an end-user's browser client to multiple real-time bidders who respond with a bid and advertisement that are sent to an ad serving system to be compared with other statically priced advertisements and exchange demand to determine the winning advertisements that will be displayed to the end-user. Data is aggregated for each bid and price limits are set based on the aggregations. In other implementations, all the bids from the multiple bidders are passed to the publisher for selection of a bid by the publisher.
