Device identification techniques using shared device graph
Systems and methods for building a device graph for cooperative device identification are disclosed. Various information is received at a computing system over a communications network, include information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a first device of a user and (ii) a unique identifier associated with the user, and information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a second device of the user and (ii) the unique identifier associated with the user. The unique identifiers associated with the devices are each mapped to the platform-wide identifier based at least in part on the unique user identifier. A device graph comprising a plurality of device nodes is constructed, with related device nodes connected by one or more edges. Nodes representing the devices are linked based on a relationship identified between them using the platform-wide identifier.
Ad frame management system for displaying web page including advertisement in correspondence with bidding popularity
A frame coordinating computer (154), upon receiving a bidding popularity from a bid management computer (152) (S1), determines whether a multiple-view video frame distributed as a content should be changed to an ad frame (S2). When it is determined that the multiple-view video frame distributed as the content should be changed to an ad frame, a change request is transmitted (S4). A content distributing computer (156P1), upon receiving such a change request (S11), changes one of content frames is changed to an ad frame (S12). Ad frame management system flexibly changes the number of ad frames in accordance with the advertisement demand by dynamically changing the number of ad frames.
Targeted online multimedia advertising
A server system selects a question from a pool of questions associated with an online media campaign. The question is associated with a plurality of predefined answers to the question. The system transmits, to a client, instructions that cause: the question to be presented by the client device, an affordance to be provided corresponding to each of the predefined answers to the question upon a lapse of a first predetermined amount of time following initiating display of the question on the client device, and a multimedia-skip affordance to be presented upon a lapse of a second predetermined amount of time following initiating display of the question on the client device. In response with receiving an indication that the respective affordance was selected at the client device, the system stores a predefined answer that corresponds to the selected respective affordance.
PRIVACY-BASED CONTENT TRACKER
A computing device is configured to generate a content reference for content displayed on a webpage. An encrypted reference is generated for the content reference. The content is provided, with the content reference, to a client device. A website is provided for the client device upon selection of the content by a user input on the webpage. The website includes an offering and related offerings associated with the content. In accordance with a web action received from the website, a logical table is updated with an entry associated with the encrypted reference. The update may be associated with a credit or a charge based at least in part on the web action for the offering or the related offerings.
Fair Demographic Ratio Pacing
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving information defining an attribute of interest for the impression, wherein the attribute of interest comprises a plurality of categories of values, and receiving information defining a respective probability for each respective value of the plurality of categories of values for the impression. Further, information about current values of the plurality of categories for the attribute of interest may be received and a pacing value may be determined based on the respective probability for each respective value of the plurality of categories of values, along with the information about current values the plurality of categories for the attribute of interest. A respective bid value of a bid may be adjusted using the pacing value and the adjusted bid value may be used in an auction to fill the impression. This permits automatic detection and correction of an inadvertent skew introduced when serving ads and other content. Other embodiments are disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND RECTIFYING ABNORMAL AD SPENDS
A method including receiving, through a computer network from a search engine, traffic data associated with one or more products, in a time period of a budget period. The method further can include determining an ad-spend amount based at least in part on the traffic data. The method also can include determining a normal range of ad spends for the time period based on a predetermined total allocation amount for the one or more products for the budget period, one or more allocation balancing rules, and/or a spending pattern model. After the normal range is determined, the method further can include detecting an ad-spend anomaly in the time period by monitoring whether the ad-spend amount is outside the normal range. The method additionally can include determining a pacing-control finding that no pacing-control job is being executed. The method further can include transmitting, in real-time through the computer network, an alert to a user in response to the ad-spend anomaly and the pacing-control finding. Other embodiments are disclosed.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES FOR BID OPTIMIZATION USED FOR GENERATING DYNAMIC ONLINE CONTENT
Techniques are disclosed for real-time bidding (e.g., for dynamic online content placement) using an optimized final bid. The final bid is determined based on a predicted clearing price and an initial bid. The initial bid represents a value to a prospective content provider, and may be computed based on campaign information. The predicted clearing price is a predicted amount paid, and may be predicted using a model trained using historical winning bids data. The clearing price may be predicted using a quantile regression model, where the quantile can be selected to control bid aggressiveness. In some cases, the quantile is determined based on pacing in an overall campaign. Once the initial bid and the predicted clearing price are calculated, the final bid is computed based on the initial bid and the predicted clearing price.
Simulation augmented reinforcement learning for real-time content selection
Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for improving inventory management. As used herein, “inventory” refers to digital space at an inventory providers webpage at which content can be delivered. The disclosed techniques utilize reinforced machine learning and an offline training process to train various models with which a content request corresponding to the inventory can be classified according to historical requests and a selection process identified for the request (e.g., a direct or an indirect selection process). If an indirect selection process is chosen, the content request may be optimized for that process utilizing additional machine learning models trained using reinforced machine learning and the offline training process. The disclosed techniques enable the inventory provider to optimize content selections according to a preferred objective. The training operations are performed offline, in a training system configured to simulate the run time environment.
Interface for Configuring Online Properties
Systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer program products, for configuring online properties, such as content pages of a website, through an online user interface. A system generates the online user interface and receives, over a network and through the online user interface presented by a client device, a request to insert a restricted third party file into a user's online property. The online user interface is updated to inform the user that inclusion of the third party file in the user's online property is restricted and to provide the user with options for satisfying requirements for including the third party file in the user's online property. In response to detecting a user selection of at least one of the options, the restricted third party file is received from a content repository, and is inserted into the user's online property.
Matching content providers and interested content users
Methods, systems, and apparatuses to match content providers and interested content users are described. Input indicating an accessing of a network location by a user is received along with the user's identifier. The identifier is obfuscated and transmitted to a content provider configured to provide content to the user at the network location. A re-direct identifier is transmitted to the user instructing the user to directly contact the content provider. When the user contacts the content provider, the user transmits a provider-specific identifier by which the content provider identifies the user and the obfuscated user identifier. The content provider updates a database of obfuscated user identifiers and provider-specific user identifiers based on the received identifiers. Thus, the content provider is enabled to identify interested users based on obfuscated and provider-specific user identifiers.
