CREATION AND EXECUTION OF DRILLS
20180197259 · 2018-07-12 ·

Provided are a method and a system for creation and execution of drills. The method may commence with receiving drill parameters from an administrator. The method may further include generating a drill based on the drill parameters and generating an access code associated with the drill. The method may further include providing the access code to the administrator to be disseminated by the administrator to one or more users. Furthermore, the method may include receiving a request from a user of the one or more users. The user may provide the request by sending the access code via a user device. Responsive to the request, the drill associated with the access code may be provided to the user via the user device for an execution of the drill by the user. The method may further include collecting data associated with the execution of the drill by the user.

CORRELATING JOBS WITH PERSONALIZED LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN ONLINE EDUCATION PLATFORMS

Employers or recruiters populate an online database with job postings. The concepts that job applicants need to have learned to be successful applicants for a job are stated or inferred from the job posting and optionally resumes of others who have held that job. A student's own learning activities are logged by an online education platform. From a comparison between the student's completed learning units and a job posting's required learning units, a personalized learning unit gap can be identified for a student. The online education platform can then recommend how the student can fill the gap by undertaking the study of learning units on the education platform.

JOB SEARCH BASED ON MEMBER TRANSITIONS FROM EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION TO COMPANY
20180173804 · 2018-06-21 ·

Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for searching job postings for a member of a social network based on transitions from educational institutions to companies. A method includes determining educational-company transition scores indicating a transition probability from educational institution to company. The method identifies jobs based on a search performed for a first member, with a profile including one or more educational institutions, each job associated with a respective company. A server determines a member-company transition score based on the educational-company transition scores of the educational institutions in the profile. For each job, a job affinity score is determined based on data of the job and the profile of the first member. The server ranks the jobs based on the member-company transition score of the company of the job and the job affinity score. Some of the ranked jobs are presented to the first member based on the ranking.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVENT MANAGEMENT IN AN ONLINE VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WITH INTEGRATED REAL-LEARNING AUGMENTATION AND CYBER WORKFORCE OPTIMIZATION

A system and method provide continuous workforce optimization based on observations of users in an online learning management system integrated with physical learning nodes that can be interconnected with other physical learning nodes for multi-site workforce optimizations. The system provides online group learning courses to users via a network. The system may integrate with conventional physical classrooms, which may be physically located at different institutions, allowing for cross-site (e.g., cross-university, cross-military unit, cross-corporation, etc.) collaborative learning. The system may monitor user interactions during the online group learning courses and generate user profiles based on the user interactions. For example, for students (e.g., military personnel) training in cyber warfare using the online group learning courses, the system may track their performance via the monitored interactions, and place them into workforces to address cyber warfare needs.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTEXT AND SEQUENCE AWARE RECOMMENDATION

The present disclosure provides a system and method for recommending context and sequence aware based training set to a user. The system identifies various items and keywords of a plurality of earlier trainings of the users' interest and generates a context and sequence aware recommendation model based on the context of the identified keywords. It uses a collapsed Gibbs Sampling as in generative modelling for prior trainings. Further, it applies the context and sequence aware recommendation model on various keywords that are of users' interest. The context and sequence aware recommendation model infers a plurality of subsequent trainings based on context derived from the keywords. In addition to this, the model is generated to rank the inferred plurality of subsequent topics using a probability distribution over subsequent keywords. At the last, it recommends at least one topic to the user based on ranking of the plurality of trainings.

INFERRING APPROPRIATE COURSES FOR RECOMMENDATION BASED ON MEMBER CHARACTERISTICS
20180158163 · 2018-06-07 ·

A system and method for inferring appropriate courses for recommendation based on member characteristics is disclosed. A social networking system receives a request for recommended courses, wherein the request is associated with a member of the social networking system. The social networking system identifies a group of members who are similar to the first member. The social networking system creates a list of recently learned skills by members of the group of members similar to the member. For a particular skill in the list of skills, the social networking system determines whether the member possesses the particular skill. In accordance with a determination that the member does not possess the particular skill, the social networking system identifies at least one course that teaches the particular skill from a list of courses. The social networking system transmits the identified course to the client device for display as a recommended course.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING PACKAGING QUALITY ISSUES
20180144430 · 2018-05-24 ·

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to monitoring the quality of packages loaded onto delivery vehicles for delivery to customers. In some embodiments, there is provided a system including: a database receiving and storing package quality reports in which each report corresponds to the transport of packages by a delivery vehicle to a customer; at least one package quality report including: delivery route identification information, and package quality feedback information identifying package quality conditions of packages transported by the delivery vehicle from a group of package quality conditions; and a control circuit configured to: allow a first group of users to access the package quality reports received and stored in the database, and allow a second group of users to each transmit and store a new package quality report in the database but not to access the package quality reports previously received and stored.

AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING A PERSONALIZED COURSE PROFILE
20180130156 · 2018-05-10 ·

The present invention provides for one or more server computers configured to receive user input from a user interface (UI) comprising a first and second job description. The server queries a database to identify a first and second competency score associated with the first and second job descriptions respectively. The server then generates a personalized course profile comprising a plurality of objectives stored in the database and each associated with a third competency score between the first and second competency scores. The server then renders a second UI including an ordered list of the objectives and UI controls for accessing assets associated with the objectives. The server then transmits the second UI to a client computer for display.

PROVIDING LEARNING PROGRAMS
20180101921 · 2018-04-12 ·

Techniques are described for the creation and distribution of learning programs. Each learning program can include a collection of learning activities, some of which have been grouped into learning sections. The learning system can instantiate a restriction condition on a learning activity or learning section within the learning program. The restriction condition can affect when a learning activity or learning section can be executed. For example, the restriction condition can prevent a user from executing a second learning section within the learning program so long as a first learning section within the learning program is incomplete. The learning system can also credit the user for completing a learning activity even though the user has not consumed the learning activity when the learning activity is similar or the same as another learning activity which has been recently consumed.
